Rules:
1 - I will not tolerate any kind of bashing. If you want to flame Hinata. go to the anti-Hinata FC. If you want to flame other characters, go to their respective hate FCs. I don´t want flame wars either, if you have a problem with somebody, solve it through pms.
2 - Spam must be in spoiler tags. Discuss Hinata, her relationship with other characters, fanfiction/fanart related to her and her input in the story to your hearts content. Everything else - unless is Naruto manga/anime related - must be behind a spoiler. Same goes to recent manga chapters.
3 - No pairing wars. You may discuss any Hinata related pairings but do not bash others for their pairing preferences. Pairing bashing will not be tolerated.
4 - All pairing discussion needs to be under a spoiler tag. I know the majority of this FC supports one specific pairing, but not all Hinata fans have to agree on her pairing choice. And I know some of them don´t join because they think this is a second NH FC.

Its only one post, nothing to stress over...and i cant control pplz actions when they're drunk. i mean 200IQ did alot of crazy sht when he was drunk...Newayz the post had nothing to do wif hinata or anti-hinata so i will not do nething if he gets rowdy. mmmmm I don't know realistically she would have to really prve herself, first she would have to beat Hanabi in a fight (or prove she is stronger then her)then she would have to then prove that she has all the the other skills mastered, which would be hard considering her dad is no longer teaching her the Hyuuga style moves, and it would be hard to beat Hanabi because while Hinata was with Kurenai, Hanabi was learning all those other Hyuuga style moves such as the divination whirl . But if she did all that then maybe she would, but also if u think about it she probably wouldnt want to though. Even if she has changed there would be no reason to just go through all that just to be the successor.

Hi FC, it's definitely been a very long time since I posted in this forum, just never had the time, and I was already on a thread with lots of talking and discussing. Anyway I read a bit back that someone was anxious to see how much Hinata had changed, and I remember reading that Hinata might have become more aggressive, my question is this, do we really want an aggressive Hinata.

The imidiate answer to that question would undoubtly be YES!

But take a minute and think about her personality, if you recall the episode and the manga, she didn't seem to be the type that was overly thrilled by spilling blood or fighting. She did all that to be recognized and accepted, just like Naruto pointed it out. I think that we need to reflect more on her current personality and qualities instead of trying to change her to fit our image of an "ideal" Hinata.

Hmm... We all know her personality, and cherrish it highly because it represents something that the other characters seem to lack, personaly I think Hinata represents the harmony, or rather the search for harmony more than anything else, why you may ask...

Simply put, we all have observed/seen the episodes and read the manga, we have Kurenai's, Neji's and Hisashi point of view on Hinata, and yet we don't believe them, why... ? Because someone important believes in her, Naruto.

This alone is enough for us to expect Hinata to change to become stronger, and more aggressive, I don't deny it because having the person you admire believe in you is enough, (i.e. Ibiki's brother in the race).

The question is no longer whether she'll grow stronger or not because it's already been determined. The question is in what direction will she grow?

I have to admit that I am a little puzzled here myself, since the end of part one didn't give any clues as to what she would be doing while he was gone. naturally I'd assume the same as everyone else, keep fighting and grow stronger. But that just doesn't seem to be enough so what else could she learn besides fighting ?

I read a few posts about Hinata being rejected as the heir of Hyuuga, which I don't quite understand myself, doesn't anyone else but the current clan leader and his first born child get marked with the "caged bird" jutsu?
Unless there are different rules for men and women.

Anyway what I wanted to say was that I think Hinata might grow in a different way than we expect, actually she'd probably grow in any direction that would allow her to keep her shyness and some of her other charms.

My guess would be that she'd probably become medic ninja because the Hyuugas are pretty adept at controlling their chakra hitting the tenketsu and all that. But she could just as well become an academy teacher.

Well, okay I don't believe in that last one myself, but I think that she'd become a fairly good medic ninja, but chances are that she has grown in the same direction as Kurenai is because it appears that one person from each team is effected by their Jounin sensei's

I personally really doubt that she'll become a medic nin. Doing so would doom her into a role of a much lesser Sakura, especially since we've seen by now that Sakura is not only good at medical Jutsus, but at making medecine as well, so if Hinata is limited to her healing balms she wouldn't even be able to stand out in a domain Sakura might not (since Sakura does stand out in medecine).

Also, by becoming a medic she'd be left in a position of taking care of others, a position of serving others if you will. If she were ever reconsidered as future clan leader, then she should not be serving others all the time, so to say. Yes, Tsunade is a medic, but she is the Head medic and in some ways being head medic is a side-job, her primary job is Hokage.

In any case... there was a long discussion on this on the old thread. The result is that none of us were able to determine in which domain she might stand out:
- in medics she'd be a lesser Sakura
- in fighting she'd be a lesser Neji
- in genjutsu she'd be a lesser Sakura as well.

She might be a combination of the above, thus making her well-rounded, but the thing is, even those who have multiple skills are still the strongest in their own style or domain (Sakura has a combination of medical skills, genjutsu and super-strength, but she Is the strongest in medics despite having those other skills to be well-rounded). So it's a mystery as to where Hinata could stand out.

Ahhh that what I was saying she has chosen to take a more aggressive stance on life since the chuunin exam, so I dont think she would take a job like being a med nin. I dont think she will be so much weaker thn Neji though, the Hyuuga bloodline limit is the eyes, and since his are the best in the clan this means that Neji can see tenketsu, and while this is another arsenal of attck is doesnt necassarly(sp) mean he would be stronger then her based on that.

Anyway, I don't think she'll specialise in medecine. In fact her pre-timeskip 3/5 in taijutsu would kind of god to waste if she were to make such a dramatic change in orientation, and 3/5 Pre-timeskip shows that she's actually pretty good at Gentle Fist. So she'll probably develop on it. But I do think she'll be able to make good healing balms as an added plus (it'd be her "hobby"), but not her main activity.

With any luck she'll be like the Successor Hinata in Naruttimet Hero 2. @_@

All hinata has is the standard gentle fist stlye. this may sound like Hinata is lessr right? not if u conider that if they both trained the same amount (even though Hinata will probably train even more then Neji cuz she is so determined ^_^) that for every hour Neji trains to further master the hitting the tenketsus , is another hour Hinata will be spending on the gentle fist style, making her an expert on it. So neji would have his broad aresenal of attacks and HInata would be an Expert on her single fighting style.

Oh. Whoopsie. In Naruttimet Hero 2, there were secret characters you could unlock after completing the game and certain conditions. One of them was Successor Hinata, an older, more badass version of Hinata who presented herself as "Hyuuga Hinata of the Main Branch" or "Hyuuga Hinata successor of the Main Branch" or something like that. She could do Hakke 64, and had a chakra-bullets-like attack, meaning she expelled chakra bullets from the palm of her hands. She also had a permanent Byakugan activated.

Well, there was this one person, Phoenixke I think, who sent me snapshots. I didn't know if I had permission to show it to the others, but now that person doesn't seem to be here anymore, so might as well... Enjoy!

I think she can defeat some when she's at her best(Like against Neji) but she isn't very powerful(I actually take back what I said in another thread about her possible beating Chouji)

On the Hinata Vs Sakura thing, Hinata impressed many people because she fought against Neji. Sakura has only fought Zaku(granted, he is an underrated character) and Ino. She won neither. Problem is is that Hinata is a supporting character and Sakura is main. If Hinata was main and Sakura was supporting, I doubt anyone would care as much.

could everyone tell me why hinata is one of their fav. characters?
Mine is because she is kinda how I used to be in J.H.S.
shy around the people she admires,nice, and tries to avoid conflict with others..
But she was inspired by someone and wanted to also be acknowledged by her family and didn't want to be like that anymore so she tried to change herself in the best way she could think of and although she wanted to give up many times.. seeing the person she admired continue to change himself continued to inspire her to change. I think the fight she had with Neji was a highlight in her life that she proved to herself that she could change and she was worth something and not only that but the person she looked up to also noticed and said she CAN change. SO I became a fan ever since
not because I think she can kick anyones ass like a lot rabid fans say but she was a normal person not sure of herself who was finally able to change herself a little which by the way is VERY hard after being a certain way for years.

Honestly, old Hinata in battle (and battle related scenarios) is probably most definitely out the window. Her demeanor in battle will probably be similar to that which she had in her fight against Neji. Outside of battle I think she will definitely be more of a confident person, but not as confident about herself as she is in battle as I imagine there are still a few things within the Hyuuga to resolve. He will do what is needed to please those who were attracted to her character for her will to change and her unwavering determination to do so (a hard worker you could say). This shouldn't be a coincidence that this will also attract new fans. He must retain something that will also keep those fans were attracted to her character because of her initially shy and reserved personality. For the most part though I think that will be seriously downplayed as it seems of all the characters she was one of the ones who's definite goal was to change and do better. That is how I think Kishi will get his middle ground with her, to let people know she's changed for the better, but hey she's still "Hinata". :amuse

I think Chillin put it well. I mean I really dont want her to change much who she is, quiet and reserved. I like characters for who they are not for who they should become. I never say a character should be more anything, because then it's more like I have standards they must fullfil or somthing o-O;; nope, I like them for the now not the later, and i dont wish anything for hinata except to be herself. she already has the will to change and the will to become stronger. If she tries i really can't ask anymore then that of her. And after two and a half years of trying, I'm sure she will be stronger and more radiant in battle, but i also beleive she will still be quiet and reserved outside of it. Loseing the personality traits youve had since you were three isnt somthing you really ever lose.
Besides, I still think she is mostly quiet around naruto, and since we almost always ONLY see her near naruto, it would be hard for most people to tell she isn't SO timid and shy. Well I don't know the full nature of that palm attack, but I can see other uses for it. For example it's possible it can be used as a double jump of sorts. Jump in the air, apply the attack to the ground and maybe you get a little kickback from it sending you higher. Who knows? Yeah hours and hours and that's all I could really think of. I had some ideas that are kind of out there for possible Hyuuga (or maybe even original) moves for Hinata.

I agree that Hinata's absence is for a reason. She'll probably have some really "knock you out with my eyes closed feet bound while eating a bowl of Meso Ramen' Jutsu. The double jump is a little far fetched the mere physics of the move wouldn't propell you into the air it'd send you spiraling unless he can release the same amount from his feet that he can from his hands.

Towards the beginning of the episode where tsunade first arrives back at konoha (I want to say ep100?? ) there's a scene where kiba and akamaru are practicing "dynamic marking" and shino is collecting bugs. I'm not sure whether I got a bad sub or what, but I never quite understood the exchange between shino and hinata that takes place there.

In the sub I watched, hinata says something like "isn't this great, all of us doing what we love", and shino says something like "you should find something too." Hinata then makes a vaguely affirmative noise, and shino says something like "you've already got something?"

Now presumably they're not talking about insect gathering. So is hinata simply saying that what she loves to do is be with her teamates?

Assuming that is the correct interpretation, I wonder what it implies for her future. On the one hand, if what she likes is being with her team, then she's likely to train hard in order to keep at the same level as them. On the other hand, might it indicate that she has no real love for any of the ninja crafts that her teamates love to develop, and so wouldn't be as likely to train hard?

I for one can't wait to see her during her next appearence, no matter what decisions she may have made in the interim!

Ok, another speculative question for those who are current with the manga.

While we may never know the answer it's interesting to think about.

Do you think hinata became a chuunin during the same exam as kiba and shino? Do you think it was the next exam that they took? (ie the first chuunin exam during the time skip).

My thought is that all of her team certainly got to the finals of the chuunin exam the next time they took it (heck, they got there as rookie genin, they've definitely got some talent, and I can't imagine enough really talented rookies coming in the next year to somehow knock them out before the finals. I'd say 50/50 chance of her getting in at the next exam... if not... then certainly the third time.

I don't know, maybe a different style of her short hair would be nice. I kind of liked that she was the only Hyuuga we know of to have short hair. If she busts out with long hair I would be very surprised since Kishi really hasn't changed designs that drastically. Different style of short hair, long hair, either one is fine with me

What I'm saying is: Don't bring the pairings debate in Here! If you do, you're looking for trouble. You can like a character just because of a coupling yes, but not everyone here agrees, so it's not the best idea to bring it up or it risks creating mini-flamewars.

You know, even HFB doesn't believe that NaruHina will happen, though he likes it a lot. Well, I'm not in a mood to debate either truthfully, but I can always link to past posts if it gets to that.

I personally don't support anything besides me and Hinata. One would think I'd be for Narukura, but...I personally just think Sakura's a dumb weak bitch. It took her over 100 episodes for her to grow some balls and help Sasuke and Naruto. BUT OH GUESS WHAT?! SASUKE WENT TO OROCHIMARU! So that leaves her to watch the back of Naruto. BUT OH GUESS WHAT!? Naruto went off to train with Jiraya. So she lost 'her man' to another guy and the guy that loves her she finds idiotic. Oh, but guess what? Naruto's stronger than you. Eh well what i meant was i think she is a great character who has great potential. The way she acts shows her kindness, and that reflects what Konoha should be about. That is why she is my favorite character. Also i love the Byakugan bloodline limit :)

I'm actually wondering if Kishimoto will make use of her name: Hinata means "Sunny place" (apparently an alternate translation is "a place where the fire falls", something like that, hi can mean fire or day). Now the thing is, Hinata up till now has been anything but shiny, since she was so... well.. discreet.

But if you think about some of the other characters:
- Neji means screw. And well, he has Kaiten? Also he's had a rather screwed-up life, but this part is entirely a coincidence imo. ^^;
- Sakura means Cherry Blossoms. Ino did compare her to a blooming flower, and what's more, Sakura blossoms bloom late, and indeed, Sakura bloomed late.
- Itachi means weasel. Um... it suits him I think?
- Kankurou means crow I think. It suit him as well.
- the "ten" in Tenten means Sky. Okay, so she's not that heavenly or anything... she does jump high? (in the anime filler: she's a rather aerial type of fighter)
- Rock Lee is a play off Bruce Lee. ^^; Okay so it doesn't have the same type of significance as the other names but whatever.
- I think it's been mentioned that Sasori means "scorpion". This one should be obvious.
- Ino means boar, and when you think about it, Ino's personality does match that of a boar: stubborn/headstrong and charges straight ahead.
- Shika in Shikamaru means deer. The Nara clan raises deers.
- Chouji means butterfly, and well... butterfly punch.
- apart from that Ino-Shika-Cho refers to a popular winning combination in a Japanese card game, but that's an entirely unrelated thing...
- it's already been explained what Gaara means
- Kakashi means scarecrow. ^_^ Does act a bit like one, expressionless and all.
- Kurenai means crimson or something like that, and it matches her eyes.
- Sasuke and Sarutobi are apparently names taken from Japanese folklore
- on the other hand Shino and Temari don't seem to have any particular meaning.

Since there Is a meaning to Hinata... any thoughts as to what it suggests about her future self?

That's not what I mean... I mean when I think person with a "sunny" personality, I see a country girl with a straw hat with a constant sweet (non-agressive) smile as she stands in a field of flowers. Shoujo-ish, but not Quite shinobi-ish. At least Naruto is agressive. And when the others smile, it's not a "sweet" smile, it's a confident one. When I think "sunny" I just think sweet with no battle capacity behind it whatsoever.

But that might just be me.

Anyway, I doubt they'd make her grow out her hair. Hinata with long hair would be Hinata with normal hair, which would be boring, generic and plain. Her hairstyle is just part of what defines her, only dramatic moments would account for significant hairstyle changes (like all the fuss surrounding Ino and Sakura cutting their respective hair). The hairstyle would remain mostly the same, though with subtle differences perhaps.

Anyway, as for that combo from Naruttimet 2, from what I've heard it's Hinata performing a Taijutsu combo before finishing off by expelling chakra bullets from her palms. It sounded reasonable to me: after all, Kaiten involves expelling chakra from all tenketsu points, she's just expelling chakra from her palms and over a shorter distance. But now Neji has a Long-distance chakra-expelled-from-palm move, so I guess that's one possibility less for Hinata. >_< Geez.

What's more, I actually find it strange for Neji to be able to show off before Hinata. Why? Because it means that there's a high risk that anything Hinata can pull off would be comparatively disappointing, since it'd be lesser-Neji moves.... whereas if she had appeared first, she could start by impressing everybody, but Neji would then show up and impress everyone even More, see what I mean? Ascending order of skill instead of descending.

Still, this might actually be a good thing, this Might mean that in order to not make everything seem redundant (same thing but lesser) and boring, Kishimoto would make sure to differentiate her attacks from Neji's. How though, I had no idea. Which is also why I had brought up the part about Hinata's name: perhaps it'd give a clue as to how he'll think up something completely different for Hinata? It's really minor for a clue, but her name has to (well, doesn't really have to but Could) intervene Somewhere. And quite frankly we have absolutely no other indication of where it'd head otherwise. I agree with basically everything....... I was thinking something where her Byukugan emits a shining light blinding everyone who is not a Hyuuga....then again, that also sounds kind of dumb. I dont know, I'm clueless.

And I have seen Ringu as well, but saw The Ring first..........and I think Hanabi's hair reminds me more of the American one than the Japanese one(Japanese one she always looked down and it hung more over her face. American one was more normal....)
