I think that the reason Hinata wasnt with Naruto durring his fight for Gaara and Akatsuki spy is very simple. Hinata has become so powerfull that she can kill Itachi with just a glimpse of her active Byakugan. Kisame would have been sliced in half and served as ramen for Naruto.
You must agree that making such strong character appear in the beginning of the manga would be stupid.

1. Kiba never said anything like that. Maybe the person who said that got it mixed up with Ino, who was said to be the most excellent kunoichi of the rookies. Still, the statement is yet to be confirmed.:amuse

2. Seeing Naruto wrapped by bandages probably made her think the injury was severe, thus she collapsed? I can't find other definite reasons:
If we say Hinata fainted because she's hemophobic, that's not true because there was almost no blood on Naruto's bandages. If we say she fainted simply because of seeing him, it would take a lot more to make her faint.

3. I'm not sure, but probably because Kiba's fight against Sakon & Ukon fitted better than Shino's fight would have. Also, Kishimoto had already decided who the Konoha 5 would be, so if Kiba was replaced with Shino, the progress of the Konoha 5 and how the plot was approached would simply be different. If Kiba wasn't in the team, who else could track down Sasuke and the Sound 4?

Hmmm.... that's a tough one....I dunno:P

If the series is going to be long, I think Hinata will have her own team first, but with the identities of her subordinates closed from the readers. Kishimoto has already put so much minor things, he needs to settle them first.

If the series is going to be short, on the other hand, maybe Kishimoto will rush things and make Hinata magically become the Hyuuga leader like how Neji became Jounin.:doh


Maybe Kishimoto will make Naruto become the Hokage, but leave the side stories about side characters unresolved.:wink
Kishimoto did say he will try to resolve all the minor things in Naruto, but unfortunately he has put a little too much details that he himself won't be able to handle.

I always though her improving herself was just to be accepted by her father, not so she can take on the throne as well. And number 2 is just high hopes that will never be. I always saw her character ending as 1) Some how getting the strength to become leader. This might not mean being physically strong, but being a good leader that can make good decisions and genuinely caring for the clan. Maybe her father will see that being a top notch fighter isn't the only qualifications for being clan leader. Since Hinata's biggest weakest is mental, her overcoming it and being leader through this mean would suit her. 2) She becomes stronger mentally, though not physically. Her father does not hand over leadership of the clan to her. She accepts her sisters as a better role. Again this show's Hinata's side for putting the clan before her and seeing what's really best for the clan. 3) Hinata actually quits being a shinobi or either does less and less of it, like Sasuke's mother. And eventually takes the role that Sasuke's mother did. 4) Hinata is a martyer (SP). She dies for the greater good of Konoha, the clan or her friends and teammates. (I really hope this doesn't happen).

Indeed, she will. If she won't, by any chance..... well, that's not Kishimoto-like... One of the main theme is "hard work pays off". If Rock Lee and Naruto are acknowledged as great ninjas, why can't Hinata, who is also one of the 3 Hardworking Dropouts™ (like both of them)?

I don't know. Her father did say that Hinata did not inherit the Byakuugan as strongly as Neji. Maybe her mother wasn't a pureblooded Hyuuga. But we have no proof or any information whatsoever to base any conclusions on. I think however that with any kind of clan with a trait such as this that you want to preserve at all costs, there will likely be a lot of inbreeding. Most likely every few years or so, or for a few exceptions only are members allowed to marry outside of the clan. Hence in all likelihood both Neji and Hinata's mothers are "pure-blooded" Hyuugas in the sense that they had the Byakugan. Of course, there are probably a lot of Hyuugas, since this clan does span many, many generations. Some people might find it squeemish the idea that Neji and Hinata could get married, but it's not unlikely. However, for a clan to continue inbreeding indefinitely without control (i.e. new blood every few years, or every once in a while) then you could wind up with members becoming more prone to getting some kind of a genetic disease. (I think this was the problem with Kimimaro sp?)

I see the following two scenarios.

A:
Hinata becoming the head of the Hyuuga, and Naruto becoming Hokage. Naruto marying Hinata to be indirect Hyuuga head plus Hokage. Thus he would have more power, perhaps enough to overturn the elder Hyuuga councils' protests and forbid the use of the Caged Bird seal. Of course, they'd have to come up with some other "fool-proof" way to safeguard the clan using another method.

B:
Or, Hinata could marry Neji. No, it's not really ew, if this happens, this would actually then make this particular part of the series sort of follow the lines of a classical chinese text, Hon Long Meng - translated into Red Dragon Dream. As I and other people have pointed out before in another thread in the House of Uzumaki section (Chinese element in Team Gai (http://forums.narutofan.com/showthread.php?t=94458)), Kishimoto seems to allude to classical chinese texts a lot throughout Naruto story...so I actually wouldn't be surprised if this pairing happened. But anywayz, if this happens, then in all likelihood Neji and Hinata would be the element uniting the two branches together and will both fight to both forbid the seal itself and find some way to replace its safeguard aspect.

At this point these are the two scenarios I see as likely or could happen. Who knows. (And I probably should post this in the theories section at some point...I dunno I'll copy and paste)

1 - Well even though there would have to be inbreeding for the Hyuuga clan to maintain itself, I can't imagine that the Hyuugas have breeded with no one but themselves right from the beginning. By that token no one in the Hyuuga clan would be "100% pure Hyuuga". So I guess my answer is no, just because no one else is either :P

2 - I think if Hinata worked her way up to the title of head of Hyuuga, she wouldn't turn it down. It's not like she never WANTED to become the head of Hyuuga, but rather she felt unsure of herself, she didn't know if she had the power that it would require.

3 - Like someone else said, Hinata would probably use genjutsu to avoid conflicts instead of weakening her opponents. She would probably use Temple of Nirvana (put people to sleep) or Sly Mind Affect (make people walk in circles)

hmmm... 1. Like jyuuken said, I don't think any of them are 100% hyuuga.

2. I think she would take the title. She would probably be so disbelieving that she actually achieved the title of head of Hyuuga because she is unsure of herself, but i think once she achieved it she would embrace this and take the title happily. Resigning just because you want to prove that you are too good for a position doesn't sound like something Hinata would do. Actually, it sounds like something Naruto would do lol :)

3. I definitely think Hinata would use genjutsu like Temple of Nirvana and Sly Mind Affect to avoid fighting rather than engage in it. She is becoming a stronger ninja to protect her village (and prove herself to Naruto), of course, but by nature she is a nonconfrontational girl.

The overall story is nice, and I think it's worth continuing. The choice of words is pretty good, so is the way you present the story.

Right now, I think you have to divide them into paragraphs, not just cram them into one paragraph.:P

And putting some more commas would be nice, so that it kinda slows down the tempo of the story (since if you don't put commas, people will just keep reading, instead of pausing).

Btw, your long sentences are very nice, but it would be a plus if you add some short sentences for more variety, IMHO.:wink

You'd have to keep inbreeding within the clan, but every once in a while you'd have to have new blood come in so a genetic disease doesn't evolve to the point of disaster (I think that was Kimimaro..."bone dude"'s problem wasn't it?). But then you'd also have to keep track of who has and who doesn't have the traits...or perhaps just put all people with trait into elite category and all those without into not-so-elite category...or something. Could get quite complicated.


Did Kishimoto ever explain any of this? Like...maybe when he introduced Haku, or Kimimaro, Hyuugas, Uchihas... Ever?? Hehe :amuse

ummm..you have read the Gaiden, havent you? Hes not an UchihaNo, he's not, but that does not prevent Uchiha Obito from being related to Hatake Kakashi...on Kakashi's mother's side.

See, I believe Hatake Sakumo married himself a sweet little Uchiha woman.

Now, remember Itachi's observation that Kakashi has the correct body type to use the Sharingan. The Uchiha are all long-limbed and slim; so is Kakashi. We've all seen pictures of Sakumo, who is a big, beefy mountain of a man, yet his son is a scrawny little...scarecrow(:amuse)...I think it safe to conclude that Kakashi did not inherit his body type from his dad, so that leaves...his mom.

To all appearances, the Sharingan only manifests in a male with two Uchiha parents, but a male with only one Uchiha parent would be able to take a transplant without rejecting it.

First, the most obvious indicators: spiky silver hair and a predilection for perversity.

But that's not all! Much of what I believe is based on how the two of them behave toward each other. Look back through the story, and you'll notice that when they are conversing they never look at each other. In Japanese culture (and by Kishimoto-sensei's own admission, Naruto is very Japanese...) this is considered extremely rude. As well, Jiraiya addresses Kakashi by his given name, without an honorific, and IIRC, Kakashi doesn't address Jaraiya by name at all. This level of familiarity and/or impoliteness is only seen between very, very close friends...or very close family members.

But wait, there's more! Look in the Gaiden. Look at Sakumo. Specifically, look at Sakumo's hair: silver, spiky, and worn in a long ponytail. Jiraiya's hair is the same, only bigger. As well, both men are quite tall and share a muscular, beefy build (Ero-sennin is not a small man!).

Now, folks in Kishimoto-world don't look similar by happenstance: it's Kishi's way of telling us that there is a Significant Relationship™ of some kind, familial or otherwise, between the characters. Therefore, I consider it safe to conclude that Jiraiya is Sakumo's brother, probably his younger one (consider that Konoha's White Fang used lightning as a weapon, and "Young Thunder" always follows lightning...)

Staying with the "similar appearance = Significant Relationship™" theme, consider this: the most potent healers we've met so far in the story are all forehead-girls (except one, who is a forehead-boy...). Also, look at Iruka-sensei and Shikamaru; see anything familiar...?

I figure one of the Nara women went on a mission down to the Tea Country or somewhere else by the sea and brought a handsome brown surfer-boy from the Umino clan back home with her.

Note: the Nara live in an apartment building; chances are that building is the "all-Nara" or "mostly-Nara" channel (consider that the stag (shika) is a symbol of fertility and you'll understand why I believe there are more Nara than just the ones we've seen.).

But what really jumped out at me is that we've never seen Iruka's jutsus, and this leads me to believe that Kishi is hiding something... :notrust

The data book litterally has the line "Shika is not a relative to Iruka" Yes they do has very similar features though that proves absolutly nothing. Plus, there has been no indication, not even the slightest amount that Shika is related to Iruka, plus, if he was wouldnt Iruka pay more attention to him instead of Sasuke Naruto and Sakura?

Now here, Iruka's Parents were killed by the fox demon, they were using normal weapons such as kunai and stars n so forth. Now if they were part of the Nara clan they wouldn't of been doing that since the Nara shadow techniques are used by all of the members in the Nara clan who have the Nara blood. So that is proof of Iruka and Shikamaru not being related ^_^

Without Iruka, Naruto would most likely have turned into a character much like Gaara. Alone, angry, scared, full of hatred for the villagers who disrespected him and treated him badly. And yet for a person who's had such an impact on the course of the story...he's almost abnormally normal.

Suggestions? That's like going up to Da Vinci and suggesting he paint this or that. And I doubt the filler makers come to this site. There's about a thousand other Naruto forums just like this one. 100s with identical forum layout. Also, they're japanese, they probably go to japanese forums.
