Yes, it will definitely remind you of Yu Yu Hakusho. I mean the tournament takes the cake for that. :D

At first, I was interested in Flame of Recca because it was ninja themed (and Naruto wasn't there before...), but quite disappointed later on because this anime doesn't contain any more ninja elements (except that Recca himself uses ninja stuff). The anime stereotypes doesn't help either.

Regardless of which, it is something to watch too. :)

yeah, i liked it, but i didn't go wow. I liked the manga better, altho it gets pretty nasty towards the end.

It started off a little slow, but once the tournament started, action action action. It is one of my favorite animes. I wish I would have gotten a hold of the manga. I would have also, liked to find out what happens.

Naruto-sen,
I wish I could help you. I got my set off of Ebay when I was new to Ebay. A very poor job on the last disk. Damn HK subs. But, lesson learned

The OP is called Nanka Shiwase. I have it, if you need it. :)

Also...

To all of you looking for the manga: check out the manga cult.

To those of you wanting the anime: go to torrentspy.com and DL it. :thumbs

As far as a sequel: I have no idea. The anime aired quite long ago and as far as I know, they haven't announced any further productions of the anime.

My advice to you if you want to know how the story turns out: Read the manga. :)

I'm reading the manga as we speak. It's definately a good series, but I can't find the anime for download anywhere.

I rented and watched 6 from netflix and wanted to finish the series. I was wondering where I could download the episodes?

So does torrentspy. So do a lot of torrent sites, I'd wager. Just use your site of choice and DL it--it should be pretty well seeded.

Also, check your PM, as I have sent you the link. :thumbs

Is the manga really that much better then the anime? I'm scared to watch the anime thinking it'll be a waste of time.

That is because of the Anime... the Manga contains more ninja themes later on (especially the great Hokage Flashback Arc). The Manga is really something else ^^

The Anime is the most crappiest shit of convertion from Manga to Anime I've EVER seen. No Naruto Filler can compare to that. I've seen much Anime Versions Mangas already and this is by far the worst.

The Manga is not only much more detailed. The style is also cooler and it's more adult themed. It get's really dark (especially after the Ura Butou Satsujin III). And of course there is the thing that the Anime doesn't even show half of the Manga, and leaves out important incidents or characters (example: the "nightmare before the finals" incident with Koganei&Saicho, >J-Keeper< and >Joker> ...)

DOn't you dare watch the Anime. Read the Manga first!

Just started watching the series on Friday and got up to the 1st round of the tournament (episode 23) and I have to say that I'm loving it thus far. I'm not sure why I never watched this series before since it came around the same time as YYH, but I'm glad I'm watching it now.

I still need to read it.

Yeah, I was planning on reading the manga as well, given that the anime ended much earlier than it's manga counterpart.

Wow, Flame of Recca. Brings back memories of Studio Pierrot of the past. :lmao

The manga gets incredibly awesome later on, the ending is just mindblowing. I think you read from Volume 14 once you get to the tournament final. Do not watch the final, because it'll spoil some of the later revelations for you.

EDIT: Final being the final battle of the tournament, the last "single" match.

The manga was awesome. Too bad they never resolved what happened to Joker in MAR even though the mangaka hinted at it for awhile, lol.
