I enjoyed Sandaime's outfit.

It was such a surprising and interesting contrast to the huge flowing robes that we had always seen him in, and I appreciated the mix between old samurai style with the way of the shinobi. Especially considering the fact that the Third, while not one of the original leaders, was one of the original developers of Konoha and of shinobi life, in general.

Plus, it increases his resemblance to a monkey by quite a bit. And, since it's likely that Sandaime was based (at least partly) on the old Japanese myth of Sarutobi Sasuke, who was said to be orphaned and raised by monkeys. Sarutobi means "monkey jump," and he had a blood pact with Enma, the King of the Monkeys...

It actually seems like the most appropriate outfit they could've chosen. :oh

That outit was ultimate koolness....just like the man wearing it. Sarutobi was in my mind the greatest of the kages. And one of the few ppl in the village who was always kind to Naruto (Even Kakashi and Iruka didn't like the kid at first, and hinata doesn't count in this as, while she didn't hate him, she never even spoke to him).

I barely remember what it looked like, I liked the hat, but the bodysuit-thing didn't leave much of an impression. So I'm fairly neutral towards it even though it reflects what a real ninja would wear. At least I think it was much better than a lot of other things out there. *glares at Orochimaru's outfit*
