I never knew why the domain went down, probably lack of funding since they offer free direct downloads which requires a lot of expensive bandwidth. They might still be on MIRC though but I hate MIRC so I never reli get to check.

MAR has been licensed so SnoopyCool decided to drop the project n Evil_Genius decided to take over from them. :love

Manga-Heaven picked up MAR, and have released up to chapter 86. They're IRC only as far as I know, so if you want direct, sorry.

I like MAR. Not as awesome as FoR (my favorite fighting manga ever), but it's a fun read. I just hope this tournament arc doesn't span the whole manga. The mangaka created such a fascinating and detailed world, I hope the characters get to explore and adventure a lot more, and not just fight endless battles in this tourney.

My guess is that FoR is Flame of Recca which I haven't read. I still use mIRC, as I always have done. I use IRC to get most of my manga.

Yes, FoR is Flame of Recca, it's by the same mangaka as MAR, and it's a really awesome read.

I use mIRC as well, always have. It's not too complicated. I get almost all of my manga on IRC. It's a one-stop shop if you find a good fserv.

The manga has gotten pretty good tho i the 'chess's leader' (forgot his name) seems pretty weak. If even Ginta managed to hurt him, then he shouldnt be of any problems for the others...

well there are a lot sof similaritys in MÄR and FoR and if you consider this then when reca first met his brother at the tournament he wounded him in the same way phantom was wounded but when they ended up fighting eachother reca had become way more powerfull and still had to give it his all

And I'm really dissapointed with the knights. They're so hyped up but we rarely seen any developement at all. Some of them had just started to show their abilities and then after only 3 or 4 chapters of fighting, they lose.....just like that.:oh

I mostly agree with you, MAR is/was my favourite manga, but once I read up to the 'MAR games' part, it got sort of boring and cliche.

I haven't finished reading past it though. >.>

Yeah, MÄR is a little too much tournament concentrated... like the UBS-III in FoR. I think Anzai just had too many ideas for the Ura Butou Satsujin, and the one's who he couldn't fit in FoR he put into MÄR XD"

It's actually one of the best Shonen Manga I've read so far Oo" You even have Ninjas and Hokage XD".
But since it's a little bit old and the anime totally sucked (don't even try to watch it if you read the manga), it's not as famous as others. But since MÄR is relativley new and the animation seems to be good, MÄR is more commonly known (even the manga got to europe, whereas there was no sign of any Nobuyuki Anzai before XD").

So if you're a fan of MÄR or think MÄR is ok, you should read it (at first the drawings are not as good as in MÄR but that changes after a few volumes).

Ha, didnt even know there was a MAR discussion thread here :P Im a huge fan of Anzai's work (especially FOR which is my all time fav shounen *see sig*) and MAR is a really entertaining manga. Only problem is that it takes forever for new chapters to get translated. I really shouldnt complain since Im getting them for free, but it makes it hard to follow the manga when you only get a new chapter every month or so. Its kinda like HxH in that regard XD

MAR is officially done. I just bought the last Tankbon *15* and the art book *Mar Art Silver*. Have to admit, the thing I love most about Anzai is that he ENDS HIS SERIES. And he does a good job of ending of them no less.

Its the sequal to MAR. Its really new as it only started in late September IIRC so there isnt really much of it to buy right now XD I've only seen the Raw of the first chapter and I've been trying to avoid reading any more because I want to finish MAR first XD

I just finished reading the whole series! I totally like it. The characters are good and my favorite is the uber cool Alviss. The identity of the King will be surprising as is Halloween's connection with Alan. There's also some surprise lurking within Babbosmile-big

Mar Omega is not written/drawn by Anzai. It's by another manga-ka that I can't remember the name and with different characters.

Well I hope its not true. While I thought MAR went down hill, I really enjoy Anzai's work. His art is top notch and his characters are always lively and fun :P
