Anyway, it's the animation and even occasionally the manga. Sakura hasn't looked all that great in some of the last chaps she was featured in, looking like she was being given the hag treatment. But Kishi never claimed to be great drawing chicks. I think when the panel truly matters then he tends to do a better job. So imo none of them really are fat.

None of them are really fat, though. It's just the way they're drawn. If they're fat (but in reality, misdrawn) in ONE panel, people use just THAT drawing to "prove" that this person is fatter than that person. It's all about the drawings. All characters, unless otherwise stated by Kishimoto, look like they are supposed to be all the same frame. Skinny/slender/perfect build and weight, etc. You know?
