What's all the good local bands around your area?
Links to websites with songs to download are good!

Paranoid Socail Club (http://www.pscmusic.com/) Unique rock band, they are really good. Two girls and Wasted on their site, two of their really good songs. Definately download Two Girls. They are probably my favorite band out of everyone.

Headstart! (http://www.purevolume.com/headstart) Their own website sucks, but this works, since it actually has songs to download. I honestly havn't heard stuff from their new album, but Bitches and Bastards is really good.

Jerimiah Freed (http://www.jeremiahfreed.com) You might have heard of these guys, but it's local to be so I figured I'd post it still. More rock, good stuff.

As Fast As (http://www.asfastasmusic.com/) Again, you maybe heard of em. But it's local So.. PSC and these guys were part of a previous band together, Rustic Overtones. Again, rock.

Ya'll definately should listen to their free songs. Post your good local bands!

The Devin Townsend Band - Progressive Metal/Rock http://www.devintownsend.com/

Strapping Young Lad - Industrial Infused Thrash Madness http://www.strappingyounglad.com/strappingyounglad_main.html

Evenlight - Beer/Bong rock with a metal finish http://www.evenlight.com/

Meatlocker Seven - Hardcore influenced thrash and grind http://www.meatlockerseven.com/

The Smalls - Now defunct indie rock/country/punk/metal fusion. Website down and gone.

Seventh Image - Industrial infused with ambience and some thrash. No website, but a google search will turn up some stuff on them.

The Interpestuals - Humour infused coutnry rock with some blues influence. Great stuff, no website, but I could be convinced to send the zipped album to inquiring minds.

WOW! Major bump!

http://www.myspace.com/parallaximprov

(Their myspace recordings aren't the best quality, but they'll suffice. For some reason, they remind me of Simon and Garfunkel...)

Parallax has been labeled as being indie/rock/folk, but they aren't limited to said genres. They are amazingly talented. Their best work, in my own opinion, is always in their improvisation; Watkinson's cello improvisations are incredible.

Martin Watkinson plays the cello and the mandolin, while Brendan Littlefield plays the piano. Both of them sing tenor. We were in the same graduating class.
