Seems kinda obvious he'd be under the power of Chaos in no time as his will has been eroded by his own hunger and he is now a "primal thing."
Which Chaos God does he go along with?
Does he make a significant impact either way?
What would his rank be?

Darth Nihilus would probably become a top-tier daemon prince or a named champion of Chaos. It'd most likely take a large percentage of some SM chapter along with a big chunk of Grey Knights, a large group of alpha-class psykers, and a bunch of titans if he ever made landfall to defeat him. As for his affiliation, I think he'd serve Chaos Undivided. Are there any CU daemon princes? I'm not aware of any who have more than one patron god.
Nihilus doesn't stop until Primarchs get involved.

I'd put him at around the level of high-tier chapter masters or Primarchs. I'm not sure how powerful he'd be compared to Eldar Farseers.
Alphirius solo's this./sarcasm.

I am thinking Nurgle here. Nurgle is the most primal and oldest of the four Chaos gods, with a portfolio focused in decay and despair that fits Nihilus deadly hunger very well indeed.
I'd say that he is not violent enough for Khorne (which among the Sith Lords of the KOTOR period would probably consider Malak and Sion the most interesting ones), not cunning/shrewd enough for Tzeentch (Revan and Traya, clearly) and interested in survival rather than pleasure, ruling out Slaanesh.
As for his power levels... he might just be powerful enough to challenge Abbadon for the position of Warmaster of Chaos, because if he is not bound to the Warp in the way demons are, he can move around in the normal universe without need for summons.
Depending on the interaction between Force Powers/Gellar Fields and the Necron structures buried beneath Cadia, he might be enough to force the Cadian Gate open for Chaos. Which is very bad news for the Imperium.

The Emperor would awaken and kick all their asses.
Again.
Your Corpse God can not save you, he's stuck in comatose.

He's alive and saving all the souls who die faithfully, unlike you heretic souls who will be twisted by the Warp.
Imperial technology > IoM's. We can stay alive forever. No one explained this to me, but why the fuck do the average humans/peak humans live for centuries in WH40k?

Advanced medical technology, cybernetic implants (the Adeptus Mechanicus go particularly overboard with these) and plain better genetics in some cases (chiefly Space Marines and about anyone connected somehow with the Emperor in some way). Not quite sure if this is reserved for the military or if Average Joe has a chance to use this kind of thing, though.

Star Wars has cybernetic implants, and have used genetic templates, flash cloning as well.
You still haven't answered my question. Why do the average humans in WH40K live so much longer then SW/EU?

Because starwars is stupid in its use of its tech. And they aren't transhumanists.

The IoM regularly uses juvenat drugs on all of its mid-level and up members. Even your basic Sargeants and Commissars get them, and they're available to anyone middle class or higher. Space Marines are wanked to hell with geneseeds and organ implants, while the Adeptus Mechanicus strive to replace every available piece of flesh with machinery. Also, 40k years is apparently enough for evolution, health standards, etc. to pump up the average human lifespan. However, you need to take into account places like Catachan, which has an average lifespan of maybe 25 years.

I know this is old but what is a transhumanist?

Forced advancement of the human condition through technology. IE cyborging, gengineering etc...

Khorne is the oldest followed by Tzeentch.

There is some statement about Nurgle gaining sentience around the time of the Black Death, isn't it? Add one "seriously wrong" point to my counter.

Well, just think about it this way:
What's the first thing that the very first humans did upon contact?
Beat the shit out of each other. There's Khorne.
What's the second thing they did?
Try and make someone else beat the shit out of the other guy. There's Tzeentch.

Wouldn't Nihilus just keep growing in power the more he devoured...eventually consuming even the gods themselves?

Neg. The Chaos Gods are directly powered by emotions and actions of the universe. Nihilus' growing hunger and power would in turn increase the power of the Chaos Gods. Trying to build up the strength to destroy them works against you, paradoxically enough.

Tch. THe Necrons will shut off the Eye of Terror and once its gone, Chaos' effect on the material will be all but gone.
Or the Emperor will wake up and kick their asses again. he's stronger thane ver now.
Yeah how about some proof to that.
The Anti-Existence

Proof of which point?
The Emperor is stronger than ever because he's becoming a Warp God and with far more people believing in him, he's stronger than any Chaos God.
The Warp itself is the strongest. That's why he is the mere Starchild compared to it's flows.
