This is no fight. It is obvious that Kakashi would win. Asuma can only do weak taijutsu with chakra blades (which Kakashi already knows, so it won't surprise him). I doubt that Kakashi would even have to use his Sharingan on this.

Most likely Kakashi, seen as he is described as perhaps one of the Leaf's best and is probably the strongest jōnin after the Legendary Sannin. Asuma is definitely not far below Kakashi's level, but Kakashi is what I'd call elite jōnin (a hero of the Leaf), whilst I think Asuma is a step below at high jōnin.

Aside from that, Kakashi has simply shown more, and supposedly knows a thousand techniques. Raikiri doesn't impress me all that much, considering these two are meant to be 'shinobi' (it's loud and straightforward, and does much damage than is actually needed against Asuma), but he must have some techniques that would be very useful. Asuma might be better up close, but it won't turn the battle around — Kakashi will win.

This is a good way to look at it, but the part about Raikiri (Chidori in the Dub section) doesn't really matter in Naruto. I mean, the Leaf's shinobi are probably the most unreal ninja ever. In the anime, it is cowardly (and done by foreign ninja) to sneak up on your opponent, but that is what ninja are known for in real life. Ninja are supposed to be stealthy, but Naruto is the least stealthy person I have ever seen and same goes for Sakura. So, Chidori actually fits quite well into the anime.

Also, I am pretty sure that the Legendary Sannin aren't Jonin (as Oro isn't affiliated with any village, except the Sound, where he would be the equivalent of Hokage, Tsunade is Hokage, and Jiraiya doesn't seem to work for the Leaf, so he is more of a rogue S-rank than anything else).

Anyway, back on topic, Kakashi wins very very easily. Probably within seconds of the beginning of the match.
