This forums has a very organized pokemon community so if you get those games you'll surely get alot of help from us and you're gonna have a ton of fun (it has wifi play so we can all trade and battle each other) and we have tournaments and gym leaders (*points at his sig * :P) and much more.
Oh ya forgot about metroid that rocks too...i just peeked at my ds gamecases when i posted above :P. And i have no idea what magical starsing is but i'll look it up and offer my opinion :) .
edit: checked magical starsign on ign...not too impressive but it's an rpg so at worst it's a good game so i say get it :P....i may get it too and since it has some sort of wifi play we could play together maybe.

There are way too many fucking games to list. I suggest buying the R4 for the DS. It's a small piece of emulation hardware/software (same size as a regular game chip) that requires no resetting of the DS itself. It's God's gift. I have over 4GB's worth of DS games.

Yay, more Phoenix Wright fans! You must get Ace Attorney and Justice For All!
Then pre-order Trials and Tribulations.
Pokemon D/P is a MUST, that's the basic staple. xD

I'm guessing Pokemon Diamond or Pearl or both. I've also heard that Cooking Mama is actually a good game, so you can try that out.

You can get a flash cart, and you can do what most people in this topic suggested with one :P
I use mine for homebrew and imports.

Pokemon and a few of the Mario games are a good place to start.

How much are these Flash cards?
The carts itself can range at like, 40 bucks. You need an SD card. I got my R4 and 1GB MicroSD for 65.00
and where can i get them?
The legality of them is in question to some, so I donno if it would be good to post links and violate any TOS
and how much does it cost to download games?
Is that a joke question? :P
Most people buy R4's so that they never have to buy games again. I still will be for one nitpicky reason, and thats related to the R4's AR cheat hex system, which blows mammoth cock.

Pokemon Diamond/Pearl is the first game that I got with my DS, and it is awesome! I never even liked Pokemon, I just got it to see what all the hype was about, and its great!
I'd also recommend Animal Crossing: Wild World, if you a more leisurely game.

all you need is a flash memory to download DS games?
you don't need any memory card or anything to save games?
That sounds way too simple...
Goofy Titan
08-10-2007, 05:16 AM
You need a flash cart and a SD card.
The SD card holds both the .nds file [Homebrew and actual game files] and creates .sav [save files] file when you start a game up for the first time. The flash cart is used to hold the data on the card and play it on the DS.

08-10-2007, 05:56 AM

Goofy Titan
08-10-2007, 06:35 AM
I don't think so, you have to order it online.
And if you need a MicroSD card, you should get a Kingston Japan one.

Would you still be able to do Wi-Fi like usual though? I'd think not.
I got Pearl, it's pretty nice but the Radar's gonna drive you crazy. XD Cooking Mama's okay, but it is a more simplistic sort of game but it does have its charms. I play the brain-test games too (i.e. Brain Age, BBA), and they can be sorta fun if you like testing yourself.
There's quite a lot I haven't played yet. One I'm especially want to know how it is is the DS WarioWare game. I've only played the first GBA one, and that's it.

What? That SNES Mana game? The one some people consider one of the best games ever?
What drugs do you take, boy?
Unless you meant the DS Mana game, which you would be referring to as Children of Mana. If thats the case, I laugh at you for playing a post-PS1 Mana game. After the PS1, every Mana game has been pretty bad.

^Either one's fine. And don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise, because Dialga, along with its cry, really isn't any better than Palkia.

Well Naruto Ninja Council 3 isn't that bad.... hmm what about Pokemon Diamond Or pearl... that wasn't too bad
but a great game that good good ratings from Gameinformer would be
Super Mari 64 DS
Or the new Super Mario bros
I also suggest to get Nintendo Wi-fi its a lot of fun to play with other people but the sissy thing is you need to know other people's friend codes..

DS extreme flash card comes with USB cord that lets you directly connect it to your PC. So I won't need the SD card, yes?
Goofy Titan

Yah, you still need and SD card.
Most flash carts need a SD card to hold the data on the card, where the USB cord would be used to send the data to and the flash cart would be used to actually get the stuff to read on the card.
At least, thats how I think it works. You should seriously ask a site like GBATemp or something.

My favorite DS games are:
New Super Mario Bros.
Mario 64 DS
Mario Kart DS
Jump Ultimate Stars
Yeah..that's pretty much it. JUS is really fun though if you like that type of thing(which is likely considering the site we're on).

Pokemon Pearl(Always fun), Advanced Wars DS, Castlevania DS, Mariokart DS, Animal Crossing Wild World(Fun Sim Game).
There isn't anything wrong with playing regular GBA games either, they're getting alot cheaper. 3 Castlevania games out there, two other Advanced Wars(Tactics), 3 Fire Emblems (Tactics), Harvest Moon DS + GBA, Yggdra Union, FFTA.
As you can tell I'm really into tactics and sim games.
And I'd try to stay away from the puzzle games there fun, but short and get old quick.
Have fun!^^
