Orochimaru as a character... Where do I start? Where can I start? He is too complex a character and I will tell you this... Words can't describe him (and I mean it).

He's a weird type of character too... Does he even have a goal? He wants to master all the techniques and in order to do that he made an immortality jutsu... But, does he realise that there is no limit to the amount of jutsu... New jutsu can be constantly made yet he still wants to go through this... It would be an eternal ordeal. What can I say? He's a strong character and it seems like he doesn't give a shit about anything that stands in his way (which is awesome!).

Orochimaru and Yondaime? If you were to say he couldn't compete with Yondaime Hokage then you'd be lying. Orochimaru even defied an ultimate technique that was associated with Yondaime Hokage (Shiki Fujin... But I'm not sure if Yondaime created the jutsu though)... If Orochimaru could do that then he is a lot more impressive than you think and his character can't be dwarfed by the likes of Yondaime.

Orochimaru and Kabuto... Orochimaru could kill Kabuto in the blink of an eye... I don't care what anybody says, Lol... Kabuto fears and respects him... I don't know exactly what Kabuto is after, but I think he's loyal... Although his actions have been odd... Very odd... Like the time when Orochimaru went to see Tsunade to heal his arms... Didn't Kabuto look shifty on the rooftop... It almost seemed that he didn't want Orochimaru to get his arms healed. But who knows? Really, only time will tell... But Orochimaru is on top and has always been...

There's something about him that can't be taken away from him... I just don't know what... And that is why he hasn't been overcome yet.

It means that he is special. I guess he and Yondaime have different qualities though... Remember with the fight against Jiraiya and Tsunade? He said to Jiraiya something about how he (Jiraiya) takes "them" under his wing... He can't leave "them" alone because they remind him of his old self... Those guys are the dropout types... Which implies Yondaime was a dropout... Whereas Orochimaru was a genius.

But this Yondaime and Orochimaru comparison should be looked at from other perspectives... Not just prowess... Maybe their character types should be looked at... The way they are with other people... The love they have for the village, etc. As we all know, Orochimaru didn't have love for his people or his village... Just himself... I guess that's one instance where Yondaime totally dwarfs our beloved Orochimaru... Even if Kabuto has hidden ambitions or a deeper nature, I believe Orochimaru is aware of it.Possibly... But there is always a chance that he doesn't know... Remember the time he and Kabuto were talking about Sasuke after the Preliminary round of the third chuunin exam? He was absolutely taken aback by Kabuto's intuition wasn't he? Doesn't that say anything? He didn't even know whether Kabuto was going to kill Sasuke or not...

So, there's a possibility that he doesn't know the complete Kabuto...

Orochimaru's judgement of personality is yet to be proven wrong. I don't think he will misjudge Kabuto. That doesn't imply he won't be betrayed. Implies he will forsee that betrayal, if it occurs.

Theoricaly, even though we all know he's a bad boy and bad boys never archieve their goals, it would be possible for him to learn all then justsu, if we keep in mind he'd be immortal. It would take years, centuries perhaps ? But it's possible, I believe, to do so. Only, he could never sit on his ass and say "I'm almighty!" because new jutsus would be born everyday. He'd have to learn them immediatly. It's a kind of paradox in the end...

But we, humans, have the same problem, sometimes, don't we ? Like when some say : I wanna be the best into my domain ! Life's so short it's impossible to surpass all the others that might have different techniques than yours, and even though you'd be immortal, new talented children get born daily. You'd have to be always updated.

Perfection is also something tricky... Who can judge if you're perfect ? Everybody has a different idea of what perfection is. For some it can be about strenght, others knowledge, others patience and reflexion...

So theorically... if Orochimaru's goal is to learn all the jutsus of the world, I believe it's possible. Only being perfect ? No, because what is to one person is not necessarly to another's.

His long tongue!! & another thing, that purple "eyeliner" look~!!! & he's so masterful, powerful & influential. Basically everything about him excites me, love the hair love the hair~!!! Yondaime is what a great talented shinobi should be. He is the heroic figure representation in Naruto. Orochimaru is the opposite: The one who walks the forbidden path and elevates himself to the evil god representation. The best moment - Orochimaru controlling the Hokages (heroes) like puppets. After all they did for Konoha, they were nothing but toys in the hands of the Orochi. :oro

I think the layer "coolness" distracts people from the true essence of the character.

Seriously, there's actually a lot to say about Orochimaru-sama, but I just don't know how. Well, the thing is I didn't know which "she2 wen3" he meant, it could mean "tongue kiss" in chinese, or...could it be "snake kiss" or something? Since in chinese, "she2" could mean "snake" or "tongue" (& that would be "she2 tou2" for "tongue"), & they sound the same (but different writings)~ But whatever, Orochimaru-sama popped in my mind anyway... ><;;;

How would that close the plot? Orochimaru will die probably according to the following points:

- Defeated by a "no talented" shinobi like Naruto, Jiraiya or Yondaime, who inherited the will of fire from Sandaime and Konoha's spirit. They will show what separates both types of ninja: the one Orochimaru represents (the endless ambition of inner fufillness) and the one the others represent (the shinobi who is capable of self sacrifice in order to protect his loved ones);

- Defeated by Sasuke, in a Star Wars way: Naruto as Luke (the one who cannot be corrupted and blindly reaches for Sasuke's soul) Sasuke as Darth Vader (the one who has been corrupted with power but deep within, lies a sparkle waiting to bring light into his soul) and Orochimaru as the Emperor (the one who manipulates and tempts);

- Defeated by Kabuto, to show the cliche "he who deceives shall be deceived". Orochimaru has been manipulating and pulling the strings throughout the entire plot. It is possibly that he will lose at his own game.

For that, Orochimaru will die. Sadly, but its reality. He could live, but Sandaime (Hokage, image of self sacrifice) died at his hands, so its unlikly that he will survive another heroic figure like Jiraiya. Although it would make sense if what he represents, the immortality of evil, remained forever among them.

He'll probably show up just to reinforce the ideia that Sasuke is quite different now and that power and revenge rules his destiny now, more than ever. But I doubt he'll fight again...
