Personally, I don't like the idea of Shikamaru paired with anyone. Similar to Neji and Sasuke, he just seems totally asexual to me (even if he is still sexy :tem).

While there has been a lot of development for ShikaTem, the pairing bothers me a little because I dislike the whole "fated to repeat the actions of our elders" theme in Naruto, at times. This time being one of them.

It isn't that I don't like Temari or Ino or whoever, I just don't see them as actually being good in Shika couple form. For instance, the whole distance issue between Suna and Konoha, who sacrifices their home for whom. Or Ino, are they just going to kick Chouji out of their little circle?

If I had to pair him with someone, I secretly opt for Anko. Just because it would be incredibly hot :nuts.

I think Shikamaru and Temari have a bit more chemistry than Shikamaru and Ino-- Temari's the kind of girl that keeps him guessing, for one. And with all the "even a rough girl is gentle to the man she loves" stuff, I think Temari fits that description better-- it's been eluded for Shikamaru countless times-- and as we've seen in Part 2, Shikamaru has definently matured. Temari is the only female character in the age range that has the same maturity level.

Definitely Shikamaru and Temari. Even though they aren't exactly canon YET, I think there have been many many hints. Almost everyone on this thread agrees with that as well. The anime also added a bit of filler involving their relationship, so one can suppose that they are trying to strengthen their bond (even though filler isn't supposed to exist, lol).

They just have a great dynamic. She's troublesome to him, but I think she also admires him a great deal and she is kind to him on occasion. Shikamaru still has some growing up to do, but I think he's going to fall for her.

ShikaIno isn´t very plausible at all, because none of them has shown such feelings towards the opponent and Shikamaru isn´t suited to Ino.
In my opinion only ShikaShiho has a slight chance to become true instead of ShikaTema, because Shiho seems to be in love with Shikamaru, though there isn´t a sign that Shikamaru has feelings towards Shiho at the moment, so it isn´t very probable.
