The funny thing is that on the Accel Character list thats not all that impressive. Naruto leaves a 100 meter molten crater when he uses his rasengan and the other are equally bad/good depending on your perspective.

Still for this fight, those bugs are physical and all physical attacks pass through smoker so his victory is insured eventually if only from fatigue.

Eh, Pipboy surely has a point. All that Shino has is to somehow prepare a sneak attack (he is actually good at those) to hit Smoker once he isn't "smoke-fied".

Though, then there's the issue that the Logias tend to activate their nigh-invulnerable state almost instantly upon impact, so I don't know how Shino would really make use of his bugs here.

Smoker is always a smoke field. The reason he can't through ace is that smoke and fire don't mix. But they also don't hurt one another. The reason Luffy didn't go through him was that he hit him on his Seastone Jutte.
