The obvious answer is the hydrogen bomb.

But if you also want everything on the continent to still live, then that's a tough call, since it's unknown just how durable the Kyuubi really is when dealing with conventional weaponry.

Kyuubi is immortal as he couldent be killed by the 4th (stated in an interview in a Shonen Jump issue) -- However if Naruto dies so will Kyuubi.
So what can kill Naruto can kill Kyuubi, and no a AK-47 wouldent do it since he regenerated from when Sasuke impaled his right lung with ease.
A granate perhaps?
- If it's Kyuubi itself well, then nothing would.

You are not seriously suggesting chemical/biological warfare against something that is essentially a sentient mass of energy are you? Cuz' that would ahve zero effect on something that doesn't even have a true body.

We'd die if it was the Kyuubi itself, since not even the God of freaking Death could kill it, only rip out it's soul and tie that soul to another to make it mortal.

It's basically a living mass of energy (one powerful to casually level mountains, and no single nuke can destroy an entire mountain unless said mountain was pretty damn small) so our only possible option would be to dump tons of nukes and/or hydorgen bombs on it and hope that we can disperse it enough to prevent it from reforming.

Do I? My mistake for giving that impression. More liked "shocked" or "incredulous" than "pissed" persay.

I'm simply explaining the flaw with his arguement. Though I suspect some of the people here don't think there answers through as thoroughly as they could.

For example, they don't seem to realize that obliterating mountain is more than nuke could do and something that can do it casually can probably survive a nuke, especially if said thing is not an organic creature to begin with but a being of energy.

These logical fallacies are nothing I'm not used to, sad to say.

Assuming it wasn't taking it's sweet time toying with them, it's possible that having hundreds of quasi-magical elemental attacks flying at him from every angle might slow him down a little or distract him. Keep in mind we don't even know how long they held it off, and going by the flashback scenes, it never actually got to the village proper before being sealed (the damages would have pobably been alot worse if it had).

Well, I'm going to assume that he's more powerful than Gamabunta and Shukaku.

The blasts they were throwing at each other devasted very wide blast radii with indirect fire.

Being that the kyuubi was taking on villages, which could have multiple boss summons, it's probably alot more powerful.

I'd say that Tanks can scratch him, anything less doesn't.
No reason to think he could take a nuke.

But I'm trying to stick to what speculation I know is probably true though. Kishimoto may reveal that he's alot more powerful than I gave him credit for. Assuming that he's living energy (when not sealing Naruto) means that any Uchiha could explode him. I don't think that it would be that huge of a terror if Konoha had a clan full of Kyuubi slayers.

hey who here know about energy! Energy is a form of radiation, and chakra energy should be given the same characteristics. If a form of radiation is powerful enough, it has the potential to push back another form of energy. An example of this is the sun. It is constantly spewing out every kind of radiation that exist in different amounts. To enter the sun (The core, not the surface, where the radiation is relatively weak, to the point that gravity overcomes its pushing effects), one needs to radiate enough energy (usually heat, as we have yet to utilize any other forms of energy in propulsion)to propel themselves with enough force to puncture through the expanding fields.

this means that an INFINITE amount of energy is contained in the Kyubi, rendering nukes useless. The only way to defeat it is to alter the radiation's CHARACTERISTIC to that of another type, then contain it.

Therefore the only thing that can defeat it logically is a black hole, which would alter its radiation and compress it by infinity. So we need a black hole gun. This exist in a video game, STARCRAFT TWO!! A protoss mothership would be needed to defeat the kyubi. Thats the only way to stop it. Match infinite energy with infinite density.

Kyuubi is the physical manifestation of energy. A nuke wouldn't kill it as there is no way to destroy energy. Energy can be lost, transferred, changed, but not destroyed.

Here is how to kill Kyuubi: A vaccum cleaner- a really really big one, guaranteed to work

Second method: plugs. Provide you add sufficient number of plugs to Kyuubi's body and use it to supply the entire world's energy consumption, Kyuubi will vanish in 15 seconds. That is how much energy we use everyday folks.

Third method: EMP. Kyuubi is not electricity, however it is energy. Disrupt the flow of energy in the fashion of the-non-existent-as-of-yet EMP, then Kyuubi will vanish.

Fourth method: Send Kyuubi with a rocket toward either the sun or a black hole somewhere...not guaranteed to work.
