Yuuzhan Vong vs Sanghelli

First round: Hand to hand. (pre-Radank Claw for Lah) No weapons allowed.

Second round: Melee. Warmaster Amphishaft/couffee-baton vs Plasma Saber.

Who takes this?

Vong warriors stand on an equal footing against NJO Jedi (partially because their null Force presence removes them from Jedi precog and severely limits offensive uses of the Force), whereas Elites can wrestle with multi-ton strong SPARTANs in power armour.

I'd say that Elites have a clear edge in strength and probably in sheer durability, but the Vong (particularly a hyper-elite Vong such as the Warmaster) are probably a good deal faster. No idea about comparative levels of skill, although Vong are far more focused in meelee and hand to hand combat which might suggest an advantage in this field.

The important question here is if they get their armour/shields or if they are fighting in the buff.

They both get their armor/shields. I know that an Elite's shield can be easily pushed through, although that requires like twenty or so blasts from a plasma rifle.

Where as a normal Vong's armor can withstand lightsabers and dozens of hand blasters shooting it at tandem. Although shields don't help Elites against plasma sabers.

Elites can lift more than 4 tons they can lift a damn tank with ease. And their skill with their Energy blades is pretty impressive Vongs are quite a bit faster though dunno Elites may win.....:oh

The presence of crab armour is going to make the Elite's task one hell of a lot more difficult, considering just how damn strong it is, unless Elite's are actually strong enough to crack it through sheer force. The Arbiter is going to have to aim for the few exposed areas of a smaller, faster enemy, but still rather strong and durable.

It is close, I'd say, but the Warmaster probably has an advantage in the long run, if his stamina is high enough.

The Ampishaft should be able to take a plasma saber, blow to tblow correct? And how would the Aribter be aware of the vonduum crab's jointed weak points?

There is no prep time for either. Secondly, people are forgetting that the average Vong warrior is about five to six times stronger then a normal human, and far heavier and durable as well.

This is no cakewalk, either way.

The lifting a tank thing is only gameplay mechanics, which doesn't count, unless I missed something from the novels. Hell, I don't think Elites can lift a single ton at all, though they are far above human.

As for the fight, it's extremely close. I can't say who will win. I guess the winner can be determined by measuring the skills of the contestants.
