This happens in your hometown. If you have access to a gun or anything remotely resembling a weapon you can take it.

Survive for 100 hours. Weapons and food can only be procured on site, meaning you'll have to find it in the place you know you'll find some.

Special conditions:

You're allowed to have one friend/person not zombiefied, meaning that you better choose wisely someone you can work with and you know is reliable and useful. Also, you will need to get to him/her and work explain what has happened. Remember, you are both unknowing at first.

Every house, shop, police/fire station etc. is open. No need for keys.

One single bite = Infection.

ONLY zombies. No crows, dogs, tyrants, hunters, lickers, glimmers etc etc.

You're in-character, which means, if you meet a zombiefied friend on the street, would you, or would you not shoot him/her? And if your friend got bitten, would you finish him/her off?

Also, no cars/motorcycles/scooters etc. allowed. You will stand and fight FOR FREEEEEEEEEDOM!! There is simply no way out of the town as it's barricaded just like Raccoon City was. The only way out is a chopper coming to get you in 100 hours. Can you survive that long?

Camping isn't allowed. You have always be on the move.

I know it's hard for others to judge you as we probably don't know your hometown, but what I'm looking for is how you plan it, how you execute it and how you react to it.

Let the zombie fest begin!!

Use a bat to go to the local corner shop and get supplies, then stock up the attic, climb into it, and pull the ladder up.

Afterwards use the radio to search for announcement signals for the 100 hours and wait it out.

I make my way downtown to the pawnshop, while me and my friend are armed with my family's guns. After getting into the pawn shop we arm ourselves with the crazy ass weapons I've seen there(cross bows, assaults rifles, etc) we barricade the doors and windows with kayaks and camping equipment after grabbing supplies from the liquor store down the street.

100 hours spent playing old video games on the pawnshop t.v. while eating junk food, taking breaks to fire at zombies from the rooftops just in case. A classic weekend.

:)

What if we become trapped in a building? we can't leave because it's surrounded by zombies, but we are safe "camping" in this building.

If you become trapped in a building it's either:

a) They try to get in and succeed. If they do, you need to fight. :amazed

b) They're just too many to get out.

Remember, if the buildings have back doors, I'd suggest using them.

The building is surrouded. Back doors are useless.

You're gonna have to shoot through windows and such to make a path and run as fast as you can. Don't forget the zombies have slow reaction time.

I don't have access to any guns, not where I live.

And if I really was in this situation, there's no way in hell I'm listening to your rules.

This should not be too hard. The most useful weapon I can get my hands on is money and an axe. My friend is obsessed with guns and owned a gun since 15 so it doesnt matter. I guess I can use his guns. Anyways, I think we can make his home base, and just go around shooting in a circle through his neighborhood, killing any zombies there. After that, just stock up some food, and then try to find as many weapons as possible, stock them up at his house and just go back whenever we are around half empty on shells or ammo or just waepons.

ONLY people you know. Unless you're somehow convinced that you know Kakashi in real life and need reality checks, sure, you can use him.

With good planning, it could be fairly simple.

With good planning, it could be fairly simple.

Do you actually know what a Zombie plague would be like?

Firstly, we won't have a chance for "good planning". We've woken up one morning and discovered that everyone in our hometown has become a sychotic, mutated, undead monster (unless your saying we knew in advance, in which case why did'nt we stop it?).

Secondly, most of these monsters are gong to be our closest friends and family. How can we possibly think straight when our loved ones are trying to eat us?

Thirdly, your asking us to survive this situaton for 4 days (and 4 hours).
We will have to find our own food and drink in a zombie-infested nightmare that used to be our home, we will have to stop for eating, drinking and bathroom breaks (though the horror of what's happening should make us insomniacs, so no need for sleep), and we will have to be in a (relatively) safe area at the end of this for the chopper to have any chance of picking us up.

We will also have to avoid a single bite from these hellish hordes. One bite and it's all over. And I have to deal with the fact that I live in a small town, about 2-3 miles long, where the majority of weapons I will find are going to be melee- up-close-and-personal to these undead cannibals. And your telling me I'm barricaded in!?

Good planning will be a nightmare, "simplicity" an impossibility.

I'm dead, man. DEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!

Haha. :P I guess it does really differ from person to person. Myself, I live in like the outskirts of town where mostly everyone lives. I also have access to a roof from my room and get down to the streets below. There aren't that many people in my street that would be a serious threat to begin with.

This happens in your hometown. If you have access to a gun or anything remotely resembling a weapon you can take it.

Baseball bats, machete, cleavers, and 2 useful knives.

Survive for 100 hours. Weapons and food can only be procured on site, meaning you'll have to find it in the place you know you'll find some.

Understandable.

Special conditions:

You're allowed to have one friend/person not zombiefied, meaning that you better choose wisely someone you can work with and you know is reliable and useful. Also, you will need to get to him/her and work explain what has happened. Remember, you are both unknowing at first.

Interesting -- I have at least at least 3 most useful people to choose from then. . .

Every house, shop, police/fire station etc. is open. No need for keys.

But are the locks still functional?

One single bite = Infection.

ONLY zombies. No crows, dogs, tyrants, hunters, lickers, glimmers etc etc.

In that case, their only dangerous in masses or in a cramped space. What about the spewing kind?

You're in-character, which means, if you meet a zombiefied friend on the street, would you, or would you not shoot him/her? And if your friend got bitten, would you finish him/her off?

Yes, and yes.

100 hours? Talk about being exhausted on one's feet.

So we have to wander aimlessly for 100 hours? Or is there a set destination?

Camping isn't allowed. You have always be on the move.

Then stamina wll be a problem.

I know it's hard for others to judge you as we probably don't know your hometown, but what I'm looking for is how you plan it, how you execute it and how you react to it.

Let the zombie fest begin!!

I've thought upon the scenario before, and prepared for it somewhat, out of paranoia. Hopefully, no one's stupid enough to release an RL counterpart to the T-Virus, but human stupidity has no bounds. . .

Choose the most reliable/skilled/one with stamina/coolheaded

But are the locks still functional?
You mean like, if you find a lock/key you can lock a door up? If so, then yes, but finding them might be difficult. But let's say they're kind of all over.

In that case, their only dangerous in masses or in a cramped space. What about the spewing kind?
Spewing kind doesn't infect you, it simply only hurts you, but if I remember right, the range is like 3 feet?

100 hours? Talk about being exhausted on one's feet. So we have to wander aimlessly for 100 hours? Or is there a set destination?
I may have exaggerated a little. You are of course allowed breaks but be sure you take breaks at the right place and time. I only meant the rule so you don't barricade yourself in, I'll add a new rule.

Destination? It depends on how you live, if you have a police station/fire station/hospital nearby just not too nearby, then there's where you have to go. It won't take you 100 hundred hours but the place will probably be crowded after a little while.

Then stamina wll be a problem.

Read above.

I've thought upon the scenario before, and prepared for it somewhat, out of paranoia. Hopefully, no one's stupid enough to release an RL counterpart to the T-Virus, but human stupidity has no bounds. . .

I've actually thought of the scenario tens of times myself. I've even dreamt it once. What I'd do, how I'd do it and how I'd bring.

Hope this helps!

My plans don't change much, really. I'd still make my downtown as it's very empty and take the back roads to the rescue point, taking breaks at old diners and such when needed. Only problem will be ammunition, but they should be easily distracted so I may not need to fight much.

now with these rules, I'll survive easy.

I know where everything is and can get to things easy.
I will blow anything away on sight.
I can get to cars and stuff.

I know where to hide.

I will make 100 hours easy.

First take action! and then plan ahead otherwise you just end up DEAD.
I would get all the weapons I could carry between my friend and I on our bikes. We would go to the closest weapons store and get a few katanas
and ammunition for our guns and try to find the shortest distance to the supermarket and grab all the protien bars, trail mix, beef jerky and water that we could carry between us. Then we could go anywhere we wanted and waste our time picking off random zombies or just keep eating our food and restocking our supplies and conserving our energy untill help arrives.

Gah! No camping? My natural advantage of living in a pub has been rendered useless. :mad

I guess I'd grab a few good knives from my kitchen, along with some food that's already cooked (I'd also stuff myself with the good food which I've never been allowed to eat). I'd then head off towards the nearby river and sail down stream to safety.

I live on the outskirts of a small village, no way am I gonna be drawn into a zombie apocolypse.

Now this is interesing, my dad's house lies on top of a large hill, with the main town below it. I'd rather weapons like liast time, knives and sword (along with fake gun for intimidating humans) and then set off towards the cliffs. The cliffs is easy to navigate for a human and would be the best place to camp out (If I were allowed to :mad ). Zombies wouldn't be able to get to me due my speed on these cliffs.

In each scenario I pick my good friend rob to be my partner. Solely because he's slower than me so he'd make for a good decoy.

Also, for each scenario I'd try to team up with other people, and keep on the move away from the zombies.

If it is only Zombies than this would be a cake walk. I wouldn't even need the friend.

Now if there was Hunters, Tyrant, Nemesis that is a different story altogether.
