Konoha vs Tyranids?! :nuts

To prevent this from being a rapestomp, I'm going to set up some special conditions for this battle. The Tyranids attacking Naruto's world will only consist of one razorfiend cruiser and all of its inhabitants. It will remain in space and will provide no bombardment. Of course, this still results in hundreds of the bugs being released onto the planet, which is a very bad thing. The Tyranids will make landfall via drop spores. The invasion itself starts right before the new arc in the manga.

In order to give Konoha some prep time, the bulk of their forces will land near the coast of Fire country. Ninjas who happen to be in the area immediately recognize the grave threat that these beasts from the sky present. They hightail it back to Konoha to warn the village. What they don't know is that they're being followed by Lictors, who are leaving pheromone trails. By the time they make it back to base, the swarm is already on the move and they only have a week before it arrives. The Lictors infiltrate the village and stay out of sight. You can be assured that they will start raising hell inside of Konoha's walls once their brethren arrive.

Konoha immediately sends out the call for aid to all the ninja villages. Anyone with a brain knows that these things are bad news. Some will probably reach them after the battle has started due to the distances involved. Akatsuki will also move seeing that world domination doesn't mean shit if everyone gets eaten. Who will come out on top in the ensuing carnage? One thing is for sure: This is going to be fucking messy.

Restrictions
Tyranids
-no bio-titans
-no flying species

Tyranid Features
-six limbed: self-explanatory
-chitin armor (the purple stuff): weaker species armour (Hormagaunts and Termagaunts) can stop lasblasts and knives, mid-species armor (Warriors, Lictors, Raveners, Biovores) can stop bolter fire and powerful physical blows, top-species armor (Carnifexs, Hive Tyrants) can stop rocket launchers, heavy bolters, and very powerful physical blows.
-symbiote weapons: http://uk.games-workshop.com/tyranids/bio-weapon-thesis/1/

Tyranid Army Composition
Hormagaunts x 50
These little vicious buggers are one of the mainstays of the Tyranid swarm. They're exclusively built for close combat. You can see them in my sig picture around the big guy (Carnifex) owning the tank. Their weapons consist of scythes on the forelimbs, razor-sharp teeth, and piercing tongue. I'd put them at being a bit faster than a cheetah. The reflexes they possess are much greater though. To normal human eyes they appear as a blur of scythes, gnashing teeth, and violence in close combat. The top of their head and back is covered in chitin armor.
Picture: http://img184.imageshack.us/img184/6956/hormagauntxm9.jpg
Termagaunts x 50
They're basically ranged specialist versions of the Hormagaunts. The right hand is replaced by a Fleshborer symbiote weapon. This really nasty biological gun fires acid coated beetles that like to bore into you. The left arm has a clawed hand instead of a scythe. Luckily, they're not very good shots. Their aim is off more than half of the time. The top of their head and back is covered in chitin armor.
Picture: http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/3368/termagaunthb0.jpg
Genestealers x 10
Genestealers are a real bitch in close combat. They're bipedal and have four arms ending in hands with massive claws. The said claws can tear through starship grade steel like it was paper. They can also climb vertical surfaces and can crawl upside down rapidly like xenomorphs (aliens). Their mouths are also filled with nasty teeth that'd like nothing more than to sink into you. Luckily, genestealers have no chitin armor.
Picture:http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/2600/genestealerxx1.jpg
Raveners x 20
These guys clearly served as the inspiration for the Hydralisk. They don't fire needles though and have nothing in the way of ranged weaponry. What Raveners do possess is incredible speed. They're so fast that they can usually rush trenches and get into combat before a single shot is fired. Their weapons consist of six scythed limbs, sharp teeth/tongue, pincers on the end of the tail, and they can use their body to constrict or swat people. Their upper bodies are mostly covered in chitin armor.
Picture:http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/7186/ravenerry3.jpg
Warriors x 20
Warriors serve as the primary warriors of the swarm. Like the Hive Tyrants, they command the lesser species of Tyranids around them. They stand three meters tall with two large scythed forelimbs and the two others are used to support a nasty symbiote weapon known as the Venom cannon. It fires a large cyst filled with acids, toxins, and enzymes. Sakura isn't going to be healing anyone hit with one of these. Their bodies are mostly covered in chitin armor.
Picture:http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/1830/warriorsub5.jpg
Lictors x 5
Also known as the Mantis Stalkers or Spooks, Lictors are the scouts for a Tyranid swarm. They are very intelligent and can change their skin color to match any background. These tyranids are bipedal and stand at three meters. On their back they have two limbs ending in two meter long scythes. Their other pair of limbs ends in powerful clawed hands. Another nasty feature is flesh hooks on their chest that can shoot out to reel in prey. A Lictor's primary purpose it to leave scent trails for the others to follow. They are incredibly dangerous in combat. Their bodies are mostly covered in chitin armor.
Picture:http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/9978/lictormx8.jpg
Carnifex x 2
It only takes one look at the picture below to understand what a monster this thing is. Carnifexs were engineered to be living battering rams. They possess tremendous strength, and their armor is second only to bio-titans. This Tyranid can literally wade through heavy gunfire and not feel a thing. They can spew bioplasma from their mouth to burn through even the thickest armor. One will have four rending scythes. The other will have four large Devourer symbiote weapons. These fire hails of hungry and acid coated grubs. Both will have mace tails. Their bodies are covered in very dense chitin amour.
Picture:http://img184.imageshack.us/img184/3554/carnifexdj4.jpg
Biovores x 0 (I decided to take these out)
These squat Tyranids act as living artillery. They grow large spores within their bodies that they can fire a long distance. The said spores will explode if they sense anything nearby, but will just float in whatever direction the wind takes them if they don't sense any enemies. The three types of spores are acid, toxin, and frag (explosive). Twenty will fire acid spores, ten will fire toxin spores, and the last remaining will fire frag. They have good armor but are very poor and slow in close combat.
Picture(Biovore):http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/1381/biovoretp6.jpg
1 x Hive Tyrants
The Hive Tyrants are damn near as fearsome as the Carnies. They're also a bit taller since their posture isn't hunched over. It is the role of the Tyrant to organize the swarm. Their influence and telepathic commands override the basic instincts of the more animalistic Tyranid species. The swarm will become disoriented and greatly weakened if they're taken out. This is easier said that done though. Hive Tyrants are absolutely vicious in combat. They come armed with a Bonesword, Lash Whip, and a Barbed Strangler. This symbiote weapon fires a group of large seeds that grow rapidly into extremely sharp and strong parasitic vines that can even pierce tank armour. Like the Carnifex, its body is heavily armored.

If this turns out to be too much for the ninjas, then a variation of the first scenario is in order. This one has an abandoned space hulk making a “soft landing” near the coast of Fire country a week before the Tyranids invade. Scouting ninjas find enough Lasguns with surplus charge packs and Chainswords for all the fodder ninjas. The elite ninjas all get Bolters with surplus clips and their choice of Power Swords, Power Fists, Lightning Claws, or Thunder Hammers. They also find an assortment of heavy weapons such as: Autocannons, Heavy Bolters, Rocket Launchers, Melta Guns, and Plasma Guns. Experimentation with the weapons in the following week shows them easy to master and to apply in combat situations.

Even when Kyuubi was bearing down on them or when the Sound attacked Konoha, it didn't seem like more then a few dozen guys were fighting on either side. Naruto is heavily demilitarized to ensure peace between the countries, with each country relying on a Hidden Village to supply all the violence that is necessary.

Even supplying them with 40k weaponry and the knowledge on how to work them, they lack precedence in how to move and fight as a real army especially one that relies on ranged weaponry.

That said, Tsunade with a powerfist is hot. :drool

To be honest 250 Genestealers alone could probably solo Konoha on their own given that they can punch through a steel door and their claws can cut through adamantium like butter.

To see The Swarm coming at them the defences would quickly be overwhelmed as even Jiraiya's Underworld Swamp and other Jutsu of Mass Destruction don't matter as Tyranid's just don't give a shit how many of them die in battle.

20 Hive Tyrants?! I the whole 40K history I think I remember only one man being able to best one in hand-to-hand and he was a uber Space Marine General of the Ultramarines (not Marenus Calagar).

Even giving the Konoha Nins 40K weaponry they lack the unification of a mass army to fight the Tyranids. Hundreds of 4-man Teams aren't going to cut it and that's the way Naruto Ninja's tend to battle. Add to that the fact that Konoha numbers don't even come close to the scale of the Tyranid invasion here and it's even harder.

Your basic Carnifex can take pretty much anything a Konoha Ninja can throw their way - the things take Rail Gun and Battle Cannon shells like they're peas from a peashooter....

Chuck The Swarm at them with the Genestealers and Lictors infiltrating to the rear and Konoha is royally boned.

The Konoha Ninja can chuck dozens of attacks at a Tyranid and get little to no effect. In the reverse no Konoha Ninja is getting up after being bisected down the middle by a Hive Tyrant or eaten away by Bio Acids....

Konoha is utterly curbstomped.

Divide the Tyranid numbers by 100 and Konoha MIGHT have a chance.

No.

That would still result in a fifth of a Hive Tyrant.... It can probably win this.

Man this is going to be a GREAT THREAD XD

Hmm, so I guess it's good that there are no Bio-Titans? :nod

I'll play with the numbers a bit.
50 x Termagaunts
50 x Hormagaunts
10 x Genestealers (They'll be infiltrating Konoha to have some fun with the civillians)
20 x Warriors
20 x Raveners
0 x Biovores (Artillery is too much for nins)
5 x Lictors (They'll also be raising havoc in Konoha)
2 x Carnifex (One will be a Dakkafex and the other a Scythefex)
1 x Hive Tyrant

Lets say that any reinforcements from other villages will already be there. They also set up an extensive network of explosive traps in the area the Tyranids are approaching from. How does this go with either the first or second scenario?

huge ass thread:amuse

I must say though that the Tyranids will probably win. If nothing else, the ninja will exhaust themselves before they finish all the aliens off.

Are the numbers still overwhelming? There's only around 150 Tyranids now with more than half of their number consisting of cannon fodder. I'd think that Konoha with its allies and lots of traps stands at least a chance now. They will definitely put up a fight in the second scenario.

Holy Christ. I play a 'Nid Army and this is just horrifyingly one-sided. The 'Nids in a rapestomp.

What is this? Open season on Konoha? I'm thinking that Tyranid Tyrant five Warriors can take this. :cry

Naruto is no match for WH40K. I know this, and I don't even play it.

I don't play it either, but I'm very familiar with the fluff. A lucky Guardsmen can kill a Hormagaunt with a knife. Although that blade is probably made out of adamantium and has monomolecular edge. *sigh*, deep down I probably knew it was going to be a curbstomp. The image of Tyranids overrunning Konoha is just too awesome not to share with everyone else. I've got nids on the brain.

I'm confused about them being curb stomped on the second scenario though. There's enough firepower there to eliminate most of the Termagaunts & Hormagaunts before they reach them. The explosive traps should also aid in this. The nins speed, agility, and abilities combined with 40k weapons should make for a good gory fight with the mid-tier species as well. Their chitin isn't going to stand up to chainswords.

The two Carnies and the Hive Tyrant will be hard to take down, but they should eventually fall prey to a lucky Plasma Cannon, Rocket Launcher, or Melta Gun shot. Hell, a Carnifex was killed with a single rocket shot to head in Warriors of Ultramar. Tsunade's punch probably packs more KE than it does. She could go in for the kill while Naruto is distracting it with Kage Bunshins. I did intend from the start for this to be a really ugly fight though.

Edit: Here's the second scenario for anyone who missed it.
"If this turns out to be too much for the ninjas, then a variation of the first scenario is in order. They also find an assortment of heavy weapons such as: Autocannons, Heavy Bolters, Rocket Launchers, Melta Guns, and Plasma Guns. Experimentation with the weapons in the following week shows them easy to master and to apply in combat situations. They also develop some basic firing tactics with the weapons as well."

Power Swords, Power Fists, Lightning Claws, and Thunder Hammers for all Jounin and up would actually make this pretty equal, since it'd basically mean that the chitin armor on the 'Nids wouldn't do much.

I'm not sure that the ninjas can actually use all that heavy weaponry. Isn't some of that stuff too heavy for unenhanced humans to use (I mean Heavy Bolters, Autocannons, Thunder Hammers)?

One of the Tanith First and Only, a huge guy named Bragg, was able to fire off an Autocannons, Heavy Bolters, and even a Assault Gun in several different instances. Gaunt remarked that he was the largest and strongest man he's ever seen. The important thing is that Bragg is a normal albeit very large human. Naruto humans should be strong enough to deal with the recoil.

Y'all are overinflating the Tyranids a bit much I think. They get beaten by bolters and lasguns on a semi-regular basis while winning just as often. The thing is they're usually under an extremely large number of them. Even accounting for fodder Nin, there aren't enough people on the Naruto side.
