I don't think Gai is physically stronger than Spider-Man. That's just a mistake. While Gai is ridiculously, ridiculously strong, Spider-Man is just stronger. He's shown it, and I don't think there's any point in disputing it. Besides, this isn't a strength battle anyways.

I'd say that Gai wins it on the basis that he's like Pietro with more versatility and combat ability. Pietro was fast, but he couldn't really take to the air, so to speak. Gai can run up and down buildings like Pietro, but also has jumping ability to at least match Spidey, along with fighting prowess that would just smack him down. In Marvel and DC, I'd say that Gai is at the very least in the Top Ten on martial arts alone, maybe even higher.

He's strong enough to hurt Spidey big-time. Spidey can win (In particular, he might be able to catch him by surprise with webbing), but Gai being far faster, more versatile, and having the ultimate gamebreaker with Ura Renge and the Celestial Gates, and he'll just pound Spidey in the very end.

Gai's striking power is well and beyond a class 10 as well. But Havoc, each Gate exponetially increases his power, stamina, speed and durability. You honestly don't believe Spiderman can win against the all the Gates open do you?

Base Gai would not be so fast that his spidey sense could not keep up. And one blow from Gai will definitely kill severely hurt Spidey. At base Gai has the speed advantage, which I wouldn't really say is that great of a factor, but Spidey has a huge strength advantage.

? Did you see that big stone wall he was about to break but didn't because Akatsuki put a force feild around? Lee running around and opening gates breaking concrete floor like it was nothing(breaking the floor concrete, a much harder concept that breaking tiles in the air) should be done like Gai.

And good job on missing the point, I never said that guy could simulate Gai's feat. I was saying what he did and what Gai did was not drastically different, and would not show Gai to be > Class 20. If you want to claim Gai is > Class 20 you're gonna need more than one feat, that in my opinion doesn't even show that.

Guys actually, Spider-Man has class 25 strength. This makes the gap harder to deal with. (In the strength department that is)

EDIT: I'm not that sure about the Gates. I mean, we know those things are a huge asset during battles.

But it seems that you're conveniently forgetting a little something, the awful pre-powerup delay. Lee stood there for like 2 minutes before doing anything (He only survived because of PIS) For Gai to use the gates, he needs to be somewhere where he won't be interrupted, don't forget he went nuts once Kisame couldn't see him when he was busy with the underlings. And Peter, unlike Gaara, won't stand there like a fool waiting for his opponent to go into suicidal mode.

Perhaps we can revisit this thread for a last time once Gai uses all the Gates. For all we know, post-TS 8 Gates Gai gains uber powers, or perhaps he just dies because his body is no longer appropiate to deal with the enormous strain the gates cause on the body.
