Which design of Ryuuken do you prefer?

And no Ryuuken didn't grow old, because first of all a guy doesn't change that much in about 7 years ( the time differnece between the two pictures)espcially when he has a comfortable life like Ryuuken. And if you take a closer look even his eye colors changed from green to blue.(that doesn't change over time).


Personally i prefer the new Design alot more, but i just dont like it when a character's design is changed after we build an image for it in our mind (like what Kishimato did to Itachi and Kakuzu).

Ehh... I don't remember Kubo EVER giving Ryuken Brown hair, same as he never gave Gin red eyes. It's the anime people that made there own versions.

They realized that the old design not cool so they gave him white hair. They did the right thing. :thumbs

Yeah it's a simple case of Tite giving him an "empty" hair colour as opposed to a filled one and the anime deciding it might be dark as Ishida's was black. The funny reality though is we STILL don't know what his official hair colour is in the manga, it just felt more like it might be white when he showed up again in the arrancar arc.

I have no idea which chapter are they in and right now i am busy in all these polls i am doing (check my sig), but i remember the only difference in the manga is the hair (its colored in the old one, but its left empty in the new one)

Anyway, what did Kishi change in Itachi?

If you check the first images of itachi in the anime during sasuke's flashbacks in the haku and garaa fights.....(espicially the latter because it has a full shot of his face) he seems to have a wider face, a smaller nose, and resombles sasuke to a very great degree from the side), and in the picture shown during the garaa fight he is shown to have some fucked up crazy look that the calm itachi we know doesn't have...sorry i cant provide a picture.

My relative's hairs and eyebrows fall down in a month completely from full to none, after he lost his shop and home in a fire. Same could happen with color as well. So I would not say it can not be.

It's white, they usually ask Kubo about the colourings.

It's a bit farfetched, but maybe Ishida remembered his father as someone with a warm and nice personality which would result in Ryuuken having brown hair. It's a lot more friendly than the cold look of white hair that Ryuuken has now after Ishida discovered his father has the power of the Quincy as well.

Either that or the anime drawers screwed up... :blink

I don't really have a preference of looks, but I must say the white hair suits his personality a lot more.

Maybe his hair turned white when he started using his powers. Or wasn't it that his dad's powers passed on to him when he died? When he got those it might've changed his hair.

As for his eyes...notice he's standing in a room with a blue light when his eyes are blue and in a dark room(facing away from the sun during sunset) when his eyes are brown? Its all about the lighting...

May be you selected wrong "new" picture to begin with, rather in a dark room with a just night's blue & moon light shining in, better to see with sunlight...

To be honest, only change I can see is his hair gone gray, even hair cut is same with exception of few cuts of broken edges, eyes are same dark brown / black , no green there :)

Ryuuken looks more like Uryuu's older brother than his old man, even with the grey/silver hair. That was my impression the second time Ryuuken made his appearance.
