In all genres of music..what's the single best concept you've heard in a track?

I'd say "I Used To Love Her" by Common Sense is definitely one of my favorite concept tracks ever.

Honorable mention to Organized Konfusion's "Stray Bullet" where they rhyme with the perspective of a bullet.

There's so many great hip-hop ones, but please do bring in music from other genres so we can all appreciate the good music.

In a track?

I'm not so sure I understand... don't all tracks have a concept? Or are you referring to the idea, or theme of a track?

War of the Worlds by Jeff Wayne

a musical rendition to the entire story of War of the Worlds by HG Wells. I pimped it a while back, but it fell into obscurity. But alas, tis the best concept/theme album ever made

Leviathan, or Blood Mountain...By Mastodon. I know technically, not tracks, they are both very good concept albums(Yes, Blood Mountain is a concept album...albeit a skewed, stoned as hell concept, but a concept none-the-less_

Yeah, a concept in a track like using a theme throughout the track. Concept albums are common but I'm asking about a specific track focusing on a specific concept. It's easier to pick out with hip-hop probably.

There are several, really.

Pain of Salvation's Spitfall is a good one, dealing with the cultural trend of the whole gangsta rap culture. Written sattirically, and wonderfully.

More to come...
