Well she was stronger then Hinata who is probably the hardest hitting taijutsu using genin from the leaf of her age group and that much speaks for itself.
Naruto is probably going to want to redo the chuunin exam and by that time Konohamaru's group will probably be ready aswell as Hanabi's group.

Eh, don't think Naruto's going to be doing the Chuunin Exam anytime soon.
And if he does, I'd imagine the story would skip over it. The series already had a Chuunin Exam storyline - having another may be a bit boring, especially if Naruto would whoop everyone since he's had 2-3 years training with a Sannin.

Not sure how Hanabi could come back into the story one day though. Perhaps she can spar with Hinata or something. Or it could be cool if the whole Hyuuga Clan had to defend the village from some threat one day.

Yeah, one of the disadvantages of having tons of characters is that the writer has to juggle their "screen time." Some characters have to get left in the dust.

And I wouldn't be surprised if Hanabi grew up with Itachi-style strength. The Main House is supossed to be the superior one, and it is a powerful clan to begin with. She could be Konoha's next young prodigy, like Itachi and even Kakashi were.

The only problem is Hanabi's a year younger than Konohamaru and his team of misfits - plus I don't think she's going to the ninja school. I think she's just getting trained at the Hyugga Main House house. So I'm not sure if she'd even get put on a genin team threesome. IIRC, Hinata only ended up at the ninja school (in Kurenai's hands) because Hiashi kicked her out. And Neji ended up there since he's from the Branch House to begin with.

In case anyone is interested, here's Hanabi's profile I translated for the HanaNeji fc (I didn't search through all the pages here so sorry if this is a repeat and someone already posted it). I double-checked the main part with njt's translation so that should be right. There were just two kanji I couldn't make out otherwise.

God, I don't visit the FC's enough. I do think that looks like Hanabi as well and before I saw the rest of your post JohnnyG, I assumed it was. As you said the face and body type doesn't fit Hinata. Hinata has a much fuller figure than that. The hair also resembles Hanabi as well. Hinata has that "mushroom" style cut, even when she has long hair, while Hanabi has always had straight-hair.

Thanks for the entry and translation Phoenixblood, though it kinda conflicts with my story idea. I have a NaruHanabi idea I'm working on and not the main plot the succession conflict is relatively important. Oh well, that's the beauty of fanfiction, I'm not required to follow Kishimoto point for point. In any case, at the rate its going I probably won't have anything written until the end of the month. Either I'm overly picky (which I am) or I'm not very good (possible as well).

Now that Hanabi's technically 10 years of age...

...don't you think she'd be in a Genin team by now? I can see her getting into an advanced class and graduating at a younger age than the majority of the students with her (like, since Konohamaru's a year older, she could've graduated with him since she's skilled and smart).

...But, that might just be my excuse to create/look at other people create an OC team for Hanabi. XD

I've also gotten into the KonoHana pairing now (and I can totally see it as one-sided, Hanabi being the one loved and Konohamaru being the one loving). But mutual love is cute, as long as Hanabi gets to be all "Che! Like I'd fall in love...*DENIAL*" on him.

Yeah, she's probably on some heavy duty training...though he might be a little more lenient now. If he can allow Neji to spar with him (a great, noble Main member), he might be able to allow Hanabi some time to complete missions. Of course, not without some major make-up personal sparring afterwards. Although, if the time for choosing the Head were approaching, he might excuse her from team missions. XD *is more of a actiony/comedy romance writer*

Being a spelling/grammar whore helps a lot, but I find it to get in the way of my writing as I'll get caught up in finding mistakes. I'll typically write the chapter, not caring about the minor things, and then go back and fix it. It just seems to get things done faster that way.

As for writing a story, you'll never know if you're good at it until you try. I used to think I was a terrible writer, until I read what people thought of my stories. Let's just say my whole outlook on the profession changed. :amuse

I'd also suggest just doing a oneshot story, so don't worry about making it full of chapters. Just dabbling in a bunch of ideas for short stories is a lot more beneficial than struggling through a time consuming novel.

Yes it's true she is in Naruto: Narutimate Hero 3 for PS2.
The developer's of the game portrait her in an interesting way. Part of it would be logical if you count in the fact that she is a Hyuuga, and that her relatives are Hyuuga Hiashi and Hinata (and Neji as her cousin).

She speaks polite, with a little shyness, but not as much as Hinata, you can hear she is somehow stronger then her, and not only in battle. From her specialty and her dialog with Naruto you can hear that she very much puts the approval of her dad above a lot things (But I wouldn't say everything else, since she can smile alright).
