Yeah, I thought it was him, but i never thought that she was a "he". :smile-big

I thought it was him because everyone else had some form of evidence against him or her except him in the first episode. :amuse So I went for the guy who was just there and didn't seem suspicious at all.

:laugh I watched and loved Detective Conan since 1996!! Great show but it gets repetitive if you try to watch every episode.

That's why I can understand that Adult Swim couldn't follow through with it. Along with gore and supposed audience targeting, there's just too many episodes to deal with. :sad

If I was the people at Adult Swim, here's what I would have done to keep mainstream anime fans entertained. I'll keep the first episodes onewards the same until we get to the episode Haibara Ai is introduced. From then on only the episodes with Haibara Ai or just the mere mentioning of the name Haibara Ai will dubbed and showed to the masses. All the other episodes will sent to the trash (with some few exceptions of course). Haibara Ai is the plot-pusher of this show. Almost every episodes she is involved in has character and plot development! The anime would move a lot smoother and it'll save money and time for both Adult Swim and us, the fans. :wink

I've never actually seen this show, but I have to say that that's probably a recipie for disaster right there. The most prominent thing being that we'd have a legion of hardcore fans screaming about how it was totally cut up and butchered for American TV.

IkariBattousai, if you watched this anime as closely as I did, you will feel the exactly same way. Besides, unlike CCS, this is the type of anime where you could easily butcher the order of the episodes and no one will ever notice it.

yo if you guys want fansubbed version of the anime series, you can get it on www.anime-conan.net, they usually release one episode every 10 days, so it is really speedy
I think some of the cases are not very challenging, but some cases are pretty hard. overall it is a good show, but it does get repetitive to a point where you will figure out the trick within 5 minutes of the show.

I have been looking for case closed now for a while and just recently found it its called Detective Conan. I enjoyed this show when it was on adult swim. Are there still fansubs out there?

I used to watch this when it was on Adult Swim. It's a shame that it seems to be taken off the air. And the last episode I remember watching was the one that Kira described.

However, I downloaded the manga a while ago and have been following several fansubbing groups, but I've yet to really start reading or watching it (other than the first four or five volumes of the manga; I'm mainly waiting for the scanlation gaps to be filled before I continue reading it).

I have followed this series for 10 years (just the manga, of course). Although it is really interesting, i just dont have enough patient to watch all of the anime eps again after reading manga ( in detective story, when u know the murdereer, the story becomes less thriller). Detective Conan/Case Closed was shaping up to be one of my favorite AS anime and after one season basically, they pulled it. Which really peeved me off, because it was just starting to get good. I believe the last episode I saw was when Conan temporarily turned back into his adult self to solve a crime and met up with a rival who discovered his secret.

*curses Adult Swim* :shakefist

I think that was the last episode dubbed that AS showed. From what I hear it still shows on the Funimation Channel. Also that was the episode that turned me off of the dub DC, I was ok with Shinichi being Jimmy and Ran being Rachel but once I heard they had turned Hattori Heiji's name into Harley Hartwell it was all over (since he's my fav character).

It never happens, but more people know he is Conan now. For example his momand dad and Hattori Heiji of course.

Also some members of the Black Org. know he is. But they haven't told the boss or any of the big heads yet.

Hey now, I'm not saying that it wouldn't be cool to get him back (he is my favorite male character, after all) but Gosho wouldn't be a very good mystery writter if he was predictable. He got us pretty good last time thinking Jodie was Vermouth but then she turned out to be FBI. And how Shinichi came back with his memory gone, but that turned out to be a fake. I'm just saying that it's too early to start making assumptions.

like that filler with mouri's friend (culprit) attempted suicide by jumping off the cliff...

but conan, who noticed this 100 meters away wouldnt let this happen!!
so he power kicked the soccer ball, knocking the culprit back UP the cliff, giving mouri enough time to grab his hand

or the recent filler with sonoko and ran bringing conan to some dessert place, because having a kid with them gives them a 20% discount...
apparently, they needed the discount, even though sonoko is fucking rich

I recently got into DC but the sheer number of episodes deter me and the number of fillers. I usually read episode synopsis on wikipedia and pick which episodes i wanna watch (usually ones with black organization or Shinichi)

Case Closed Movie 5 will be released to DVD by FUNimation Entertainment in the U.S. on January 19, 2010.

As for Case Closed Movie 6, a release date has not been stated yet.
