Sound Trio (Dosu, Zaku and Kin) vs Zabuza

Sound Trio has preptime in the Forest of Death during the Second Chuunin Exam against Zabuza (assume he can perform Suitons without a body of water).

Can they pull this off against a Jounin who nearly killed Kakashi?

Zabuza was renowned for being a pro at silent assassination. If he's on his guard, he would detect the slightest aberrancy, and react to it like any shinobi in his tier would.

Once they are forced to engage in a fight, it's easy pickings in Zabuza's favor considering Lee without his weights would have trampled all three of them.

Zabuza relies on his Kirigakure no Jutsu to perform silent killing techniques, which is the focus of using his superior hearing to take down his opponents.

The Sound Trio actually use sound based ninjutsu/genjutsu, how does he deal with that since they are prepped and he isn't?

Although he created a mist so thick that no one would be able to see through it, he was able to hear Kakashi(somehow, perhaps through his breath?) and aim shuriken at his exact location with his eyes closed.

Whatever the sound trio plan on doing would most likely be an underestimation on Zabuza's abilities. I don't find them able to create a successful ambush, as Zabuza would be one step of them and instantly appear behind them like this, turning the tables.

I don't understand where you got genjutsu from, but it's more like how the Sound Trio would take down Zabuza, instead of the other way around since that's pretty much what this thread is about.

zabuza moves too fast for those genins, then he uses huge sword to slice and dice, plus his water jutsus, they are just too inexperienced and would probably get scared of zabuza's power

The only problem for Zabuza is Dosu but still the sound trio were owned by a CS1 genin Sasuke (though, the sound trio had just fought multiple opponents and kin was knocked out.) Still I think Zabuza takes this.

^^^The cursed seal isnt anything to underestimate . Imagine if Sasuke had the CS with his sharingan activated in while they were fighting Haku and Zabuza .

yeah thats true if sasuke had CS1 against haku that would've made a big difference.... but didnt sasuke evolve another tomoe or something in his sharingan inbetween the haku fight and the sound 3 fight also?

Zabuza wins. All he has to do is create a mist then use his silent killer art to kill them before they even realized what happened.

zabuza wins this so fucking easily

he specializes in fighting based on the sound of his opponent, but that doesnt mean he can only fight like that. Remember his first fight with kakashi and friends, the genins were NOTHING to him. His as fast as Lee without weights, just as good as taijutsu, has a huge fucking sword, a fuck lot stronger, a fuck lot more experienced, and can use high tier suiton.
