Hm, very good episode. I really love the music choices and the mood of all the dramatic scenes. Both Shirosaki's and Yamamoto's speeches gave me goosebumps they were so cool.

Next episode looks to be pretty good. I still hope every episode that they slow down a bit :doh.

I almost wish they slowed down (not by adding totally non-canon material) but by drawing out and elaborating on the existing canon material (e.g. they could have spent more a bit more time with the full horrow ichigo and other mini battles).

They certainly don't seem to be worried about pacing, so I guess I shouldn't be either. A great episode all around. They're really putting panning and zooming effects into the animation to good use.

omg, i just watched parts of it. it was awesome, the climax was like where ichigo stabbed shirosaki, and the cero scene was much better then the manga. they couldve played some of the old bleach music though, but the music in this episode was still awesome.

As for taking more time, this upcoming stuff with the Ichigo/Vaizard, Sado/Renji, Uryuu/Ryuuken (et. al.) training offers a pretty good opportunity for them to sap up a lot of time. Nothing offers more space for filler than training. smile-big

agreed though it wasn't too bad, the worst part was when Ichigo looked up after collapsing.....it looks like the outline of blood, then a few lines to fill it in....I don't know what to think of it lol...

I mean, what are those guys doing all day long? Ulquiorra is probably Aizen's private TV (and porn) recorder, Tousen practices being a blind gangsta rapper, or something like that.

Yea, there are alot of funny stuff the animators can think of for those arrancars in Hueco Mundo.

Great episode. I have to admit I never understood Aizen's true purpose when I read it in the manga, but the anime episode explained it crystal clear. Also the Arrancar Research Time is just perfect. I hope they keep that up.

One thing though, I thought Ichigo's hollow was supposed to say "So you had the instinct to seek out this battle after all." I don't feel like going to the manga to look, but it would have had a nice effect if he said that.

no matter how much shirosaki attacked Ichigo he still couldn't win the fight so thats why Shirosaki tries to get Ichigo to give in to despair and admit he cant win{therefore allowing shirosaki to become king}


concerning Ichigo.....everything he did was useless and he could never hurt Shiro....but once Ichigo became determined to continue to fight he already defeated Shiro with his spirit and determination...Ichigo's sword going right through shiro was a symbolic image of Ichigo being able to instantly defeat shiro when he believes in himself and for what he fights for

I think he founded the school that all the Shinigami's must go to now... but the 13 squads were always there.

The current captain commander just added a school system to raise the level of Shinigami.

Really? I found this episode to be a snoozefest. Very anticlimactic. I preferred 124 despite it being filler mostly. If it wasn't for finding out Aizens (sp?) plan the whole thing would have been a waste of time.

i didnt think it was boring. the part where everything was just going pretty fast was awesome, the cero scene seemed much more dramatic then the manga. in my opinion, aizen's plan was pretty boring to me. so much talking and orihime running around.

I wonder when's the next time Shiro is coming back. :(
