SWEET!!!! I hated having the Anime pass the manga. That means part 2 could come sooner than we think!
(I wonder if One Piece will receive similar treatment.)

Actually, you're both right and wrong at the same time.
Because Viz plans to realise all Part 1 manga by the end of the year, it gives them the ability to skip fillers.
However, even though they have the ability to skip fillers it doesn't mean they will.
Adopt the plan we(or, should have) used when the fillers were on.

No, we're getting fillers. Buisness 101.
And I don't think the fact Part 1 will end in December is absolute proof that they'll skip the fillers. What they could be doing is proving that the story doesn't end after the Naruto vs. Sasuke fight.
The reason people didn't leave the fandom during the fillers is because they knew about Part 2 and that it would eventually be animated. Therefore, people put up with the fillers because there was a light at the end of the tunnel in their minds.

This is absolutely amazing...
So will Naruto in Shounen Jump have part 1 still running along with part 2? I doubt they'll put all of these in the magazine at a time, or even try to put it all in by the time part 2's going to start in it- they'd have to have like 10 chapters per issue. o_o

Actually, it is just the seperate volumes coming out at a 3-a-month clip starting at September. Also, you have all the bonus stuff as well. (minus the Databook)

But are they going to still run it in Shounen Jump after that? Starting next month, they're going to run 5 chapters per issue, but that's not going to get them to the end of part 1 by the time part 2's supposed to start. =P

i have already heard rumors that they were going to SHORTEN the fillers. Cutting out alot of the episdoes so that it dosnt run for two years.
NAruto has the longest running filler arc ever......naruto might have caught on in america but it dosnt have that strong of a toe hold. I think it will be necessary to cut the fillers or else they will lose their fan base.
think about it less people in america read the manga then in japan. you can count on the fact that a wide margin of the people who watch the american version of naruto wont be reading the manga, so they wont know about part two.
I think running the fillers in america would be a huge mistake.....look at what studio pierrot lost out on? I mean there were some die hard fans like us but by the end the start hemorrhaging money because no one was buying merchandise and no one wants the DVD's either.
you can bet Viz was paying close attention to their numbers while they were airing the fillers, and while i doubt they will cut them out all together they wont be nearly as long.
If america rus two years of fillers naruto as a series will die ...its as simple as that. american kids are not patient and Viz is in it to make money.

That's a great idea. They should show the first filler arc when Sakura goes to find Sasuke by herself and then asks Tsunade to be her appredence as well as the last arc where Gaara does whatever he does and Naruto finally sets off with Jiraiya. That should be enough filler. =\

No you see, the only reason we had fillers is because the manga was too far behind the Anime. Viz is trying to avoid this so they don't have to dub the fillers.
They already know it'll bore the american audience. Japanese kids =/= American Kids.

It is VIZ's job to dub the Naruto anime,it is most likely that we'll suffer two years of filler despite where we're at with the manga.
