That's actually not that far back. Well Sasuke first reappeared in chapter 300, and now we're on chapter 327...only 27 chapters to download. XD

I used to download heaps of stuff when I was on dial up. It took me about 12 minutes to download each chapter! :amazed But in the end, it was worth it, and you should start downloading as well. :P

Actually, I'm not patient enough to do that. I joined an MSN group for Naruto a while ago, and they've got everything there. :P

And... well. I read more than I planned on. I had gotten up to 306 before, btw. And now I finished through volume 35, up to chapter 317. ^_^ Only ten left, and I'd probably do it right now if I didn't have a German midterm tomorrow. :laugh

I might get back to it later and finish it, though. Otherwise, tomorrow.

It was different for us this year since it was our last year of high school. So we had semester 1 end at the end of June, then semester 2 starting mid July, and it just finished on the Tuesdays. I haven't been able to respect Sasuke as much as I used to after he ran away to Oro. Which is weird, considering how much I like Sound in general. I guess I don't like the way the character is developing anymore. :( I see him just turning into another Itachi... what's the use of killing your brother if you're just going to become him in the end? He's destroying himself, and I hate to see it happen. :scry

And they probably wouldn't have succeeded in helping him (Uchiha seem pretty stubborn to me), but at least they'd have tried.

Konoha's policy on orphans needs help. It's no wonder Orochimaru is able to lure them away.

Yes, it's really tragic that there is the chance that Sasuke will turn out to be another Itachi. I was thinking just then why Sasuke has never really thought what would come after he does kill Itachi, if he succeeds, that is. Would he stay with Orochimaru, go back to Konoha, or stay a missing nin? I don't want to see Sasuke destroy himself either. :cry It's just too much then.

Well if Konoha had treated Sasuke better after the Uchiha massacre, I reckon that Naruto would have succeeded in getting through to Sasuke at the Valley of the End, with all that touching brother and friend talk.

I really want to see Itachi Vs. Sasuke as well, and I want Itachi to beat Sasuke because then Sasuke would realise that no matter how much stronger he gets, he would be unable to defeat Itachi. But by doing this, wouldn't Sasuke want to obtain more power either from Orochimaru or running off with someone else again? Or would he admit defeat and try to live life again?

But if they do want to have such fight, then Kishi should hurry it up a bit, since 3 years is almost up, and Orochimaru would be able to take over Sasuke. ;-;

If Sasuke defeats Itachi, it's all over for him. He's made it so that Itachi's the only thing that gives meaning to his life. I'm not sure he could survive killing Itachi... at least not in any real way. There would be nothing of him left.

He needs to reevalute things... and if he kills Itachi, that's not going to happen. I think he needs to come to terms with what happened, and vengeance for the sake of vengeance alone isn't the answer.

The thing I don't get about his decision is, all of the strongest ninjas in history--Sandaime, Yondaime, the Sannin, Kakashi, even Itachi himself--were trained in Konoha. So if Sasuke really wants to become super-strong, Konoha is the best place to be, and he seems to completely fail to realize that.

Nope, no sadness at all, Asuma wasn't a basterd, but for me he was simply an uninteresting character with not much sympathy points to him.
Left me cold weather he dies or lives. As for Hidan and Kakuzu, I always had things for bad guys or villians, so apart from being more interesting and cool, I care a huge bunch about weather they die or not. (this goes for the intire Akatsuki with the exception of Tobi, I was more bummed out at Sasori's death then I was about Asuma';s or Chiyo-ba's, I guess I really am a bad person.

Yeah, a friend and I last year came up with a really fun crack theory that involved the cousin (what's his name again? Shisui?) still being alive, being part of Akatsuki perhaps, and being in reality the one who slew the clan. Hmm, yeah I agree with you as well. Maybe because being in Akatsuki, he can test himself. He did kill the Uchiha clan to see what he was capable of, so maybe by being in Akatsuki, and doing all those hard(?) missions, he can prove himself. But since he has been in Akatsuki for so long, he knows what there objective is, and so maybe he would fight to test what he can do again, and again.

So that would mean that they are going to create a whole social system, one that Itachi would be able to agree to as well. I'd love the bijuu to slip their leashes and escape, meaning that Akatsuki's going to have to play major clean-up detail along with the heroes. But I'd love for a whole bunch of things to happen.

Random: AL had a show in 329, having a somehow typical goal for a villain... That makes me wonder if Itachi has something under his sleeves.

And there's a closer up look on the blue hair Akatsuki... we can almost be certain that she is a hot female nin with uber power. ...If she is AL's gf (AL also mentioned some of them work for the sake of love.), a triangle love between AL, Itachi, and the blue hair would be great ff material... Blue hair... originally being loyal to AL, after falling in love with I-touchy, she understood more about Itachi's pitiful history, and started to find herself interested in this guy and his plan becomes more relevant to her and his reasons start to have more depth and emotions. Therefore she secretly sided with Itachi. She decided maybe she can bring more light into this guy's heart. XD

Well, it depends on how you interpret their goal. If you just see the "Muahaha world domination" side of it, then yeah. It sucks. But I was paying more attention to when he was talking about how screwed up the ninja world was, and chose to stress on the reformative side of their goal. Then instead of seeming like cliché villains, they become more or less desperate machiavellian anti-heroes who are a result of the ridiculously inadequate social structure and at the same time the only people willing to do anything to change it. And even if their methods leave something to be desired, what's the other option? All out civil war?

...and now I must go eat and hunt down some purple nail polish. :grin I've totally re-envisioned my gypsy outfit as an Akatsuki sexy-no-jutsu, since these guys like clothes way too much to go without. Even if only my friend and I realise how slightly Akatsuki-esque my costume turned out. :amuse
