Diz – So Fortunate

Originality: 9/10 | Diz, I must say this is probably my favorite AMV out of all the ones you’ve made. The theme of fatherly love is rarely used in AMV’s and Bleach is a perfect example. Isshin is a hilarious and wonderful father. This song fits his and Ichigo’s situation perfectly. You were able to evoke many emotions throughout your video. Wonderful job. The only reason you didn’t get a 10 is because it’s not a super ground breaking, break from other videos. It’s made in the same way as other videos…just not a specific theme you’d see every day.
Visual Quality: 8/10 | Looks like you spruced up your RAW’s or fansubs to get a little more out of it in your video. You get an elevated score here. I just wish you had Bleach DVD’s. Your videos would be pretty much perfect then ;_;.
Audio: 10/10 | Audio was fine. Couldn't find a problem with it.
Action Sync: 10/10 | Diz…you’ve earned my respect in this category. I’m sure you know by now what I would say about your video in this department so I’ll just keep it short so I won’t bore you. Perfect.
Lip Sync/Effects/Special Effects: 10/10 | Use of unobtrusive effects throughout the video lent themselves to the idea or sound they were being synched to. It only benefited your video and made it an even more enjoyable experience. Seamless integration as far as I can see.
Effort: 10/10 | As always, nothing less than a perfect 10.
Re-view-ability: 10/10 | I must say I’ve already watched it about 30 times since I first downloaded it. Does that answer the question?
Overall: 9.8/10 | Fantastically awesome video. It’s just a bit short of being perfect. This is just because of the video quality.

Shota-Kun - Gundam SEED (Alternate OP) - Yuki, Muon, Madobe Nite

Originality: 7/10 | Alternate opening to Gundam SEED. Not an entirely ground breaking subject matter, but something that isn’t done as much as the normal action scenes set to linkin park. That’s about all I can say here.
Visual Quality: 10/10 | Quality was outstanding. Looked like a DVD rip.
Audio: 10/10 | Audio was fine.
Action Sync: 7/10 | synchs were sharp in most cases, but I thought you could have done more with the music. There were a lot of unused beats and sounds in the song that you could have utilized to make your video super awesome and memorable.
Lip Sync/Effects/Special Effects: 7/10 | I guess you used some slow down and speed up effects. Other than that I couldn’t tell much from it. You used the speed effects well though. They were barely noticeable. Unless…you didn’t use them at all…I dunno. It was hard to tell, which is good I guess >>.
Effort: 9/10 | This video looked very well done. Almost like a real opening for gundam seed. However there were plenty of parts in there that you could have expanded upon I thought (especially that boob jiggling scene there near the end…*nosebleed*). This was needed to get a perfect 10.
Re-view-ability: 7/10 | It was well done and had high video quality, but it lacked a certain something that would make it memorable to me. After watching it, I think “that was nice…but I don’t really feel the need to ever watch it again.”
Overall: 7/10 | Very nice video. It had its moments. It was good enough to be an anime opening…but it wasn’t mind numbingly awesome either.

Crimson Edge – Bleach – Savin Me

Originality: 8/10 | I loved that fact that you didn’t just stick bleach action scenes to some rock song. You stuck with a theme about ichigo saving rukia and planned out a story for your video. It followed along nicely and was enjoyable.
Visual Quality: 6/10 | Sorry…but quality of a fansub/RAW is usually bad. You didn’t attempt to doctor it up a bit either.
Audio: 9/10 | The song actually sounded a bit fuzzy. Make sure you convert a high quality song to wav format with 45000 Hz (this is CD quality).
Action Sync: 7/10 | You had solid synchs in there, both lyrical and action. They were used tastefully throughout the AMV, but I thought that you could expand upon it. There were some scenes that felt as if they were dragging. You didn’t change it quick enough. 00:31 – 00:35 is one of these scenes. You shouldn’t focus so much there on one image. Keep the viewer’s attention by changing it up.
Lip Sync/Effects/Special Effects: 8/10 | I believe you did some lip synchs. If you did, these were ok. Not amazing. Your other use of effects and such were in good taste though.
Effort: 10/10 | It seemed like you planned out your video beforehand and stuck to a story. It was very good and looked like it took some effort. I used to try to make videos like that and I know how tough it is to get it to come out well.
Re-view-ability: 8/10 | It was very enjoyable. Catchy song, nice theme, some cool action scenes at the right times…you have yourself a decent AMV.
Overall: 8/10 | It was very nice, but you could indeed push the envelope a bit more when creating AMVs.

Demonic Shaman – Driving Me Insane

Originality: 8/10 | While it is a very cute AMV, it wasn’t on the bleeding edge of originality either. I didn’t knock it down too much though. Haruhi is lovely ^.^
Visual Quality: 6/10 | You definitely have to try a different method of encoding your AMV. My haruhi episodes did not look anywhere close to that bad when I watched them. They were bad, but not completely horrible. Just try to get a better encode next time.
Audio: 10/10 | Sounded clear to me. Wasn't distracting in any parts. It was fine.
Action Sync: 9/10 | TONS of wonderful syncing, but some of it was too quick. Like in the beginning when you did the black flashing screens to the opening guitar riffs, you wouldn’t continue on with the same scene, you would switch to another in which there was an action going on. This was quite distracting to me in the beginning. I think you need to work a bit more on this effect, but other than that, there were plenty of wonderful parts throughout the video. There were some instances in the song that I thought you could take advantage of though which is why I didn’t give you a 9 : [
Lip Sync/Effects/Special Effects: 8/10 | You did try to lip synch. They were pretty good but not perfect. The rest of your effects were very tastefully used and weren’t at all gimmicky. They helped your video out well. I liked the blurring of the sides of the screen at the cymbal clashes in the beginning of the video. Very nice.
Effort: 10/10 | Huge effort went into making this. It shows by how well it came out.
Re-view-ability: 8/10 | This was a very fun video. I would definitely watch it again.
Overall: 8/10 | Your video was thoroughly enjoyable, but you definitely have room to improve on your skill.

Diz – So Fortunate

Originality: 9/10 Well for a bleach AMV I hardly see any of these types of themed based bleach AMVs So I do say you where pretty original here.

Visual Quality: 8/10 - Standard RAW quality I would have given you higher than an 8 but I know you can push more especially since there are DVD rips out there now.

Audio: 10/10 good 192kbs quality, the song goes well with the theme and I hardly give out ten's in this category but you did well.

Action Sync: 9/10 there was not that much action in this video but for what their was it was synced well.

Lip Sync/Effects/Special Effects : 9/10 I would have given a complete 10 in this but one thing that sticks out to me is in the beginning not sure why you went back to color in the one part for like a second and then back to black and white should have left it alone. I just do not see the point of doing it there . I could tell you wanted to sync something there with that part of the song but you could have done an invert or timed sequence chaining there. But Overall you did really well I enjoyed when ichigo's dad smacked himself into the wall poster and you had another video playing there before he did it. Nicely done.

Effort: 10/10 - I know from experience it takes a long time to pump out a 3 min + video especially with good effects etc so 10/10 for here.

Re-view-ability: 9/10 I like ichigo's dad but I'm not the type to watch these kinda amv's over and over but in the general aspect I think people would watch this more than once thats for sure. ( Plus I did watch this at least 5 times )

Overall: 9/10 - Great work , nice theme, good effects, only thing I could say is explore more with lip work or lyric syncing. Overall great job :)

Demonic Shaman – Driving Me Insane


Originality: 8/10 - Well I seen these types of AMV's before but not many pertaining to this anime.

Visual Quality: 7/10 - .wmv can me way better if you encode it correctly , you where using subs and normally using subs and cropping to get the subtitles out reduces the overall quality. RAWS are not to hard to find for this anime but it does take take to download. One thing if you crop one section or part of your AMV make sure the whole AMV is in that resloution as well.

Audio: 10/10 I liked this song greatly. Good song choice for this type of amv you did as well.

Action Sync: 9/10 - good syncing however some parts I felt could have been done better. But overall you did a great job.

Lip Sync/Effects/Special Effects - 9/10 your choices in effects where good but at parts it could of done something different or better like at 1 min 58 seconds in, that whole part could have been done differently I knew where that came from in the anime but It just seemed odd adding flashes at that part. Though I loved the guitar part really good job there :amuse also I seen some lip syncing Not bad but could be better lip syncing through this video would have made it much better. But I do say you did a great job overall in the effects department :noworry

Effort: 9/10 - Good amount of effort had to be put into this video for the effects etc but I think you can try a bit harder and polish things up a bit.

Re-view-ability: 10/10 I will not lie to you, I watched this video roughly 15 times I love guitar based songs and fast pace music among other music. But I liked this anime and what you did really fit well with me. This is why I gave you a high score in this department.

Overall: 8/10 - Some stuff needs to be worked out like the Video quality, I know .WMV format can be much better just watch out when you crop things and what not you have to make sure that the whole video is in that resolution to make it overall look nicer. Plus among other things like RAWS and what not. Subs already compressed and what not so you have to make sure you uncompress them before you start up your amv if you do not have raws that is or dvd quality stuff.

Crimson Edge – Bleach – Savin Me



Originality: 8/10 - Good theme I do admit that, and you stuck with it and did not sway away from the main point of the AMV. Although I seen quite a few amv's like these already but you did a good job here :thumbs

Visual Quality: 7/10 - Fansub quality, need to download the raws my friend! If you did download the raws then you need to improve on your encode shcems. Best way to do it is when you render the video in your video editing application make it to uncompressed AVI then use Vdub to put the codec in. believe me this works greatly better than the video editing programs encoding. Unless if you want to do an HD vid then adobe / sony vegas are better at that.


Audio: 9/10 - 128kbs audio ehhh not to great could be better. Song went well with the theme though .


Action Sync: 7/10 - not much in terms of lyric syncing and action. It was there but minimal at best. This is one area you could improve apon.

Lip Sync/Effects/Special Effects - 7/10 - I seen some effects in there and lip sync's but you could improve on those. The effects you did use I liked the overlays with other videos and what not I just think you could have placed them better in the AMV. I did not like to much with that big square of the video coming in overlaying the other. That could have been done better if you did not do it in such a manner ( square box) I would have given you a higher score but that part just kinda turned me off a little bit there. I liked your idea you used there but could have used that overlay a little differently at that part. Overall though you have some great talent in the video effects department I really cannot wait to see what you cook up next .

Effort: 9/10 - Good effort had to be put into this but I think you can do a little bit better in some area's I mentioned above. You did great on the theme and what thats for sure.

Re-view-ability: 8 /10 - Good theme , I liked it and I think others will like it as well.

Overall: 8/10 - Good job on the AMV, Just work on the area's I mentioned above and you shall do even better in the next contest !!

Originality: 7/10 - Well I do say that not many people do japanease music AMV's much. I know a few people that do and thats a good thing . But some times you need subs to get your theme across to non speaking japanease people!

Visual Quality: 10/10 - Ya this had to be a DVD rip or a real high quality RAW I seen this opening for download a few times and its high quality thats for sure. Although it should be REALLY good quality for 350 meg file size :laugh

Audio: 8/10 - I'm hitting you on the audio for a few reasons. One I cannot understand japanease if there was subs it would have been fine, I just cannot figure out what theme your trying to point across or I figured you where going for an opening type deal but would have been nice to actually know what they are saying.

Action Sync : 6/10 - I did not notice much if any syncing at all with the song. You could work better on the beat syncing and what not I seen some good opportunities for you to take advantage of during this song but you did not.

Lip Sync/Effects/Special Effects 6/10 - Really not that many effects where used I barely seen any at all. It was hard to tell because it just looked like you ripped an intro from an anime and that was it :oh

Effort: 7/10 - I honestly think you could have put more effort into this video to make it outstanding but it felt you just left it hagging :( You have the talent it seems just put effort into your next vid and I'm sure you will do much better.

Re-view-ability: 7/10 - It was ok but I could not watch it more than once honestly nothing really pulling me into this video, not many effects at all and much syncing at all either was really hard to watch this more than 3 times , I had to just because I wanted to make sure I did not miss anything.

Overall: 7/10 - If you work on the area's I mentioned above I'm sure you will make an outstanding AMV. This one just felt a little short IMO. You have the skills and I cannot wait to see what you cook up next .

Avgac / Diz - So Fortunate

Originality: 9/10 | Very nice Diz. I must say, this is very nice indeed. This video portrayed good and strong emotions between father and son. A special bond. However, as Mecha said, I also can’t give you the full 10. It’s not a common theme, but I’ve seen my share of AMVs that follow it. Still, awesome job.
Visual Quality: 9/10 | Once again, great job! I wouldn’t say DVD quality, but you did a great job getting it close to. Nice!
Audio: 10/10 | Audio was great! Nice song too! I liked it.
Action Sync: 10/10 | Simply amazing…this was just simply amazing. Pretty much every part of the AMV went perfectly with the song. I have no complaints my friend. =D
Lip Sync/Effects/Special Effects: 10/10 | You’re on a role aren’t you!? Diz, you have made me into a happy man. To see an AMV like this…I heard you were good and they didn’t lie. OK, let me start but mentioning your use of effects! The beginning captures you right away and you slowly get into it. As if that wasn’t enough, you kept the amount of effects consistent thus allowing it to flow nice and smoothly. Perfect frekin job…there’s no other way to put it.
Effort: 10/10 | Do I really need to explain after the explanations above? : P
Re-view-ability: 10/10 | Of course I’d watch this again. In fact, I’d use it in examples as to what makes a good AMV. Mecha watched it 30 times? And here I thought I watched it more. >_>
Overall: 9.7/10 | This video is frekin awesome. You have wowed me I don’t know what else to say. Well I do have one thing and that is : Make another AMV! =D

Demonic Shaman – Driving Me Insane

Originality: 7/10 | Nice theme. I liked how the character’s relationship was being portrayed. However it was nothing too new or interesting.
Visual Quality: 7/10 | I actually found some clips to be with a decent quality so I’m going to award a 7 on this one.
Audio: 10/10 | Crystal clear. Nice song by the way. Very catchy! =D
Action Sync: 10/10 | I actually have to award you a 10 on this one. You used this song and it’s high energy every way possible with this anime. You really did an excellent job here and it just amazed me.
Lip Sync/Effects/Special Effects: 10/10 | Lip syncs were nice! Could have been a bit better but you came back with a 10 with your use of effects. You had some nice transitions and really were able to keep the high energy of the song while using your effects. Because of this mixture, I am able to give you a 10 in this category.
Effort: 10/10 | You surely took your time to do your best on this AMV. I can honestly say you put a good amount of effort into it.
Re-view-ability: 10/10 | I actually enjoyed watching this. I found it very good. It has such a high energy vibe with nice effects. What a great song too! I’ve actually re-watched it quite a few times since I have downloaded it. =D
Overall: 9.1/10 | You did an amazing job! Seriously, this AMV rocks! I strongly encourage you to enter the next AMV tournament. I had fun reviewing your AMV and you, my friend, have made an AMV that should be used as an example to what makes a good AMV. It has surely earned my respect and is worth my time along with anyone else’s.

Crimson Edge – Bleach – Savin Me

Originality: 8/10 | Great video! You made a great theme where it actually was about “Saving Me”. You got the main theme of your AMV out there perfectly.
Visual Quality: 6/10 | Well…as Mecha said, RAW/fansubs need a little bit of touching up. At least there were no subtitles visible.
Audio: 10/10 | It’s strange but on my end, even after listening to the song again, and again, I had no problems with the audio being fuzzy like Mecha did. So with that said, you scored perfect here.
Action Sync: 7/10 | You had some great syncs going on but I found some room for improvement. As Mecha stated, some clips did drag a bit. Another example is
00: 14 - 00: 21. However they weren’t major drags so I can’t deduct too much here. Overall, good job.
Lip Sync/Effects/Special Effects: 8/10 | There were a good amount of effects used here and they were pretty good. I found a bit more room for some more but overall it was great. In terms of lip sync, well I saw some so I won’t let it go unnoticed. For example, at 01: 59, when Ichigo was in the air, it went good with the “I’m falling…” part when he was speaking. That was great. Overall, your use of effects were great.
Effort: 10/10 | I’m not gonna lie here. You went through a good amount of episodes and even took the time to make some good effects. You even kept to the theme of the AMV. The effort shows and I’m rewarding you a 10 in this category.
Re-view-ability: 8/10 | I’d like to watch this again and even classify it as to what an AMV should be. Great job.
Overall: 8.1/10 | Nice job. You were really able to pull off a good AMV. I hope you enter again.

Shota-Kun - Gundam SEED (Alternate OP) - Yuki, Muon, Madobe Nite

Originality: 7/10 | Well I can’t say alternate openings are original as I’ve done quite a few myself but they surely aren’t too bad. There are worse.
Visual Quality: 10/10 | I love it, I love it, I love it. DVD quality for the win.
Audio: 10/10 | Great. Very catchy song too if you don’t mind me saying.
Action Sync: 7/10 | Syncs were all right. Nothing too amazing but nothing boring either. There was room for a bit more. The song has a lot of high energy to it and I believe there could have been more usage of it to your video.
Lip Sync/Effects/Special Effects: 6/10 | I think there was room for improvement with effects. I could barely notice any as Goku stated. With speed effects as Mecha mentioned, well I was thinking to myself that same question too. I couldn’t quite tell to be sure as I watched.
Effort: 7/10 | Well in the case of effort to make this an alternate opening, you did a great job. I would have given you a higher mark if you had more use of action sync and effects. It helps to show you went beyond what you could do.
Re-view-ability: 7/10 | Now despite what I’ve said, I wouldn’t mind watching it again. However, I can’t say I’d really take the initiative to do so unless I had Gundam Seed on my mind.
Overall: 7.7/10 | There could have been more done to the video however it still has earned my respect and was worth the watch. Great job!
