sanji giving hints

just recently i reread the manga and i noticed something, after luffy got sanji to become his nakama and while they were on the boat heading towards the island to get nami back, sanji expressed about merman island, and i thought wow even from the begining this could be a possible forshadow, and the fact that his char has never had a flash back other then his arc, and we know lil about him other then the fact he is a love cook and his odd chivary, i feel that the current arc will build abit more on his char until we get to merman island, in which oda will open up sanji as a well developed char, before we enter the new world

I feel that way too, after all he's the only one to fight a merman underwater, and he is a cook, cooks cook fish :amuse .
I hope Sanji will fight the merman Karate master (kuroobi's master maybe), Zoro the #1 swordsman in the island (Hachan said he was #2), and Luffy gets Jimbeu (If he is indeed in gyojin island)

it seems to me everyone is so hyped on new chars that they forget about the ones that grew on us. Sanji is such a loved char and i feel its do time that we got to know him better.....if even brook does join, i would hate to see 2 perverts with no back story...

another thing i would really like to know, is whats up with his left eye? he is a char with many secerts. Yes all blue is important it is his dream, but i really wanna know him more as a char and not just his ambitions

Uh, Fishmen =/= Mermen.No, but there's a good chance that the two species are at least somewhat related; they'll probably both come from the same place.

I think Sanji might be related to one of the other crew members. Like if he was related to Franky. Also I remember in another thread, saying the Strawhats might wind up in another one of the blue seas since Thriller Barque(sp) is a moving island, they might end up back where Sanji was born and raised.

Yeah, I might have it backwards but Fishmen are like Arlong and his crew who look like fishes with human characters, while Mermen or Mermaids are people like the old lady in the Water 7 Arc (Can't remember name) who look like humans and have some fish characteristics.

Everything I've read said Mermen island, Nami was even kinda down about going because of her past experiences with them.

I seem to remember Luffy mentioning that ten crew-members would be enough, if Brooke joins and he still includes Vivi he'll have a full ship!
