They both share the same ship... they both have a little flirtsy 'neck-to-neck' thing going on... what's not to enjoy about the two? Or maybe you've already been an ever-long fan of the pairing and wish to join in order to share and discuss with fellow fans. i'm an AMV-maker myself... and i would totally LOVE to make a zoroxnami one, it's just that there's so many clips i would have to create... so i would need sooooo much free time. and RAWs aren't the easiest to find for one piece :doh

You guys don't by chance know some decently-written and halfway long fanfictions about Zoro x Nami, do you? I'm starving for something to read and IF I read any OP fanfcition then that's the only couple that's fun to read to me :D

lol, i haven't searched for/read any zona fan-fiction in ages. probably because the last i checked... they pretty much all sucked. xD
hmm... there doesn't seem to be much fan-fiction written for one piece at all, actually. especially not zona. i just did a quick search on ff.net and there's only 5 pages worth for them. :/ and that's with the rating on all. :oh

Okay, so you arrived at approximately the same conclusion as I did, sucks. u_u
There weren't many (I put lenght > 10k), and most of those were horribly OOC latest when it came to the rest of the crew.
I wonder why that is. Maybe because there the authors would have to do a bit of character development on their own? :amuse

haha, ew, i hate when authors make the other characters OOC. i think the reason they do that is because their main focus is so set on zoro and nami that they don't think they really need the other characters to make it work. but in my opinion, an excellent fic is one that uses all the characters (IN character) to assist in the development of the main pairing while managing to keep the main pairing in the spotlight.

Yep, I totally agree there. I honestly also think that often they're simply not able to/not willing to take the effort to write the rest of the crew. Luffy is stupid and eats much, Usopp tells weird stories and is scared when any danger presents itself, Chopper is innocent, Sanji cooks and tries to flirt with Nami and Robin reads. That's about the usual depht of the characters.
But those fics aren't really enjoyable, usually I stop reading them pretty soon because I get too annoyed with the way the "side-characters" are done. So far I found one pretty decent fic; however, it's not finished yet, and I got no clue if/when it'll be updated next. u_u

I know. I thought the idea was funny though. I get your point on being short. I'm a multi-chapter person myself. One-shots aren't my cup a tea unless they are long and good.

i think one-shots could be fairly easy for one piece, though, unlike most series. because most events take place on their ship, right? so it's a fairly simple setting to work with if you have any little plot-bunnies or special moments in mind.
but i do agree. long fics, all the way. i still have yet to find a long zona fic that's really good.

that's awesome. :) and i think the reason it's not so popular... is probably because alot of american/english-speaking people aren't really into one piece as much as international fans. and considering this forum is mostly english-speaking... yeah. if there were as many one piece fans as there are naruto, i bet zoro/nami would be such a huge hit. because you're right, they compliment eachother so perfectly. and it's just... hot.

there was a zona site i used to go on that i think had something like that... but i don't know of any now. i bet there is a place somewhere, you'd just have to look.
