Not entry sure if this is the right place(literally and figuratively) to be asking but what the heck, might as well try. Me and my friend are having a competition to see who can write the best story in 1.5 months, but I don't have any ideas besides one that I think was almost entirely trashy. If you don't believe me here it is:
(main character) loves this women but she decides hes not the one she loves and leaves (main character). This makes (main character) rethink his life and what he has accomplished up to this point, (main character) decides that he will do business work and get to the top of the political and finical world. (main character) decides this because he think that if he has money and power the women he loves will come back to his arms willingly. So you start off at a desk job and work his way up, but so realizes that this way will not get him to the top fast enough, so he start using underhanded tactics and quickly become the rising star of the company……
Several years later at a business dinner (main character) is talking to local officials and partners of the company, he notices someone walking by and thinks that he has seen them before so he go over and introduce himself. After a while he comes to find out who this is, the girl who turned him down all those years ago. One thing (main character) notices is that she is unmarried after all of these years so (main character) tries to appeal to her, but it doesn't seem to be working. Soon she tells (main character) that she has had been working with organizations around the country to help better cities and rid them of crime.
(main character) devises a scheme to make her to think of him as the one who will be there to help her out. With the help of people from (main character)'s past (people who work at banks, government positions, police, etc...) he goes around trying to make her life as miserable as possible. While she is in these situations you appear at the right moment to help her in her time of need. But one of (main character)'s right hand henchmen realizes that over the years of ruing people's lives, destroying the sliest bit of competition, and framing people who look like a threat, that this was the last straw and that he needs to step up and do something. So he goes and secretly meats with this women to reveal the truth and finally take (main character) down.
:cry I tried to make that work, but it just doesn't seem to be working. So I need some new ideas for a story. Any ideas are welcome, and I'll take anything that is workable.:(
