Long recognized as role-playing games par excellence, the Final Fantasy series gets a technological makeover in this installment (and series debut on the PlayStation). Shedding the two-dimensional graphics and limited sound capabilities of its predecessors, Final Fantasy VII features lush 3-D graphics, beautifully animated "movie" sequences, and soundtrack-quality music. Coupled with the game's intricate storyline, endearing characters, and immense yet highly imaginative world, these new advancements make for a quite an engrossing experience.

The story of Final Fantasy VII centers around a solider named Cloud Strife, who joins forces with Avalanche, a group of resistance fighters, to take down an evil mega-corporation known as Shinra. (The fate of the world hangs in the balance, of course.) Truly epic in scope, this four-disc game requires a considerable amount of time to complete---this reviewer gladly gave up over 80 hours of his life to finish it. But it's definitely a rewarding adventure that every PlayStation owner should consider undertaking, especially since it's now one of the low-priced "Greatest Hits" titles. --Joe Hon

Pros:

* Intricate and absorbing storyline with endearing characters
* Immense and highly imaginative game world
* Special battle system
* Beautifully animated movie sequences

Cons:

* Your friends and family may feel neglected

While this was the most groundbreaking of the series and a real turning point in the FF archives, I still think that nine, ten, and tactics are better games. I think my opinion of this one would go up if they rereleased it with new graphics and some extra goodies.

Congrats. I lent the game of a friend awhile ago and didn't manage to complete it before having to give it back. :( Although, I am currently on the look out for it. :P I will find that game and complete it! Afterall it is one of my favourites.

Edit: :) Yeah, it would be good if they did up the graphix and re-released it. I don't think I'd want there to be some extras thrown in if they changed the game. Since it's a good game already.

How is it the worst ever game made? The graphics are out dated now but where the best in it's time. Especially with the use of 3-D graphics. The storyline is great, also the hours of gameplay. Also, 'caused an uprising in RPG fans. Ask anyone. I really can't see how this was the worst game ever made... :blink

Yeah, its not my favorite FF game, but it was definitely the best thing that ever happened to the series. I like the gameplay in the later games more, and I can't play it now because of the graphics, but I thought that the story was the best, the villians were cool, and they weren't afraid to kill off a major character right at the beginning. The game in that regard is awesome.

If they rereleased it with updated graphics but kept the story and gameplay the same I would buy it again. And when I talk about putting new stuff in it, I mean like new minigames and some cool new cut scenes.

In America maybe. Final Fantasy was always big in Japan, especialy VI. The storyline was decent, but a little too complicated for a lot of people. Theres so many people who think Sephiroth killed Aeris, its laughable. FiF8-X-2 have a better story IMO.

i thought ff7 was cool. i really didn't like ff9 or ffx2 though. what sucked though was when i first played it, i borrowed a psx from my friend cuz i didn't have one at the time, but his psx was so bust up, i had to watch aeris die and kill jenova 36 times for the damn machine to finally work and progress on to disc 2

Also, I still don't understand how anyone in this world can say FFVIII is better than VII.

I'm ashamed to say this, but I have never beat a FF. Ever. I've been to the last bosses on V, VII, IX, X, Tactics and said, "well, that was a good game." I think in the back of my mind I didn't beat them so I would have an excuse to play them again. I seriously have played through X three times but haven't beaten it.

Last time I brought it to my folks place over the holidays and my little brother saved over my game. I lost 26 hours of gameplay since my backup save file. Haven't had the desire to play it through again.

I guess it's all down to individual opinions.

I've completed FFX and 9. I'm right at Ultimecia on 8 and I only got halfway through 7. **Sniff** I also got to the end of FFX-2 then saved over the slot by accident. I've not been able to get back into since..

02-16-2005, 01:09 PM
Yeah I've played FFX-2. The plot is basically Yuna, Paine and Rikku running around in hope that Yuna will be reunited with Tidus. The reason you get the spheres is because of Shuyin, Shuyin is the guy in the spheres that they think is Tidus. If I continue i'll only end up spoiling the game for you. But, it IS a good game.

Fanboys have pretty much killed FFVII for me. The only reason I ever play it anymore is for Vincent (mega Vincent fangirl here), and once Dirge of Cerberus comes out, I'll never have to play it again.

One fanboy actually had the nerve to say that FFVII was the "first Final Fantasy, no, the first RPG, with a dark storyline."

I've completed VIII, IX, X and X-2, but unfortunately not VII.

VII is definately my favourite in the series. It just has a great storyline, it grasps you, and you get all caught up in it.

Same thing happened to me with VIII, i was all worried about The guys i sent to that Rocket-base thingy. It was and is more than your average game.

At least thats what id say.

Well, then there's also the fact that I've played it way too much and none of it has any pull on me anymore... The worst thing about FFVII is that it's not really all that versatile. It's not like, say, FFT, where you can do something completely different with your characters every time. Now THAT'S an RPG.

fft is a great game and everything, but it gets extremely easy by the end. it's like even ramza can take on the whole battlalions of enemies by himself without doing the lvlup/lvl down trick.
ffx2 was lame!!!!! when all three girls apeared together, with yuna running in a jumping like that, i had no idea what square wanted me to think, but i was thinking along the lines of "wtf?" after that, they did this weird pose together wuz all "Y! R! P!". i thought i was watching charlie's angels or something. if they were gonna do something like that, they should've made it R.Y.P. you know, like R.I.P.

I've completed all of the Final Fantasys that have been released to the states. I have to say though that FFVII was one of the better Final Fantasys released. If they updated the graphics along with a few other minor tweaks and rereleased it the game would be even better.

I have to say though that FFT and FFX were better than FFVII, and FFX-2 was the worst game in the Final Fantasy series.

martryn

Final Fantasy Tactics is a great game. And you can find it at Wal-mart for 15$. I think I've bought it three times. What's great is the replay value. Be a wizard all the way through one game, and then play again and specialize in the fighter classes. I played once where I mastered every class in the game in order, and then did it again in reverse order. Did it without buying any equipment from shops all game. Did it without buying guys or accepting people onto my team, ect.

I try to make it where by the end of the game I still have a hard time with it by making sure that I use all my characters and all. I will sit out the main character whenever possible and let the no names have it. I mean, you can't have a game without Rad as a kick ass oracle/samurai, or Lavian as a knight/monk/geomancer, or Alicia as a dancer/ninja. Or maybe its just me that has trouble not doing that.

FFX-2, if you look at the FF series, was one hell of a shitty game, it is unlike any FF game out there, so in that way it sux.

Had it not been a FF game, i think would have been more acceptable, as the programmers and whatnot at Square just turned around 180 degrees by doing this game, very unlike their style.

PsycheAcheronos
02-19-2005, 01:59 PM
Personally I think the biggest thing that made FFX-2 suck was that it was basically a giant chain of mini-games. Not to mention the fact that if you miss 100% on your first try you have to slog back through the entire game to get those last few percent.

martryn: Try playing through FFT while only using the squire class or the other basic classes (Squire, chemist, knight, archer, white mage, and black mage). It can actually be pretty hard if you stick it out with only those basic skills or classes.

Sometimes I will choose skill combinations at random, and that always makes it interesting.

One way I make it harder on myself is by getting a full party of people (16 or something) and only using the lowest level guys in the party to insure that I don't overuse any character. And I have a system where no two people are working toward the same job class at the same time. And no cheating with the weapon generation or anything. *sigh* I miss that game.

Also, I still don't understand how anyone in this world can say FFVIII is better than VII.

I can tell you why I liked VIII better: Characters and World Development.

Characters: Am I the only one who noticed that Cloud didn't really have a personality? I think this goes for most of the characters who seemed to just be there. The only two that were really all that memorable were Barrett and Cid, and maybe Aeris too. On the other hand, FFVIII's characters were extremely well developed and were each their own unique person. Squall was a loner, Zell was a slacker, Irvine was a "ladies' man", Quistis was the intelligent one, Selphie was cheerful, and Rinoa was a bit of a ditz. The other factor that comes into play here is that the characters actually developed over the course of the game (Squall came out of his shell). Everyone in FFVII was essentialy the same at the beginning as they were at the end.

World Development: The development of the world in FFVII was a bit lacking. Every city just seemed to exist and never make contact with anyone else in the world. The great thing about VIII is that they actually went all the way and crated a system of international politics that came into lay throughout the storyline. Whether it be a war between to countries or something else, I never felt that any part of the world was underdevleoped.

DOn;t get me wrong, I loved FFVII, I just think VIII was a better game. WHat I love about both of them is the setting. I like that whole techno-industrial fantasy setting. I'll take it over something Star Warsy or Lord of the Ringsy any day.

Yeah, it's harder for newbies to understand the junction system, but let's see... There's a lot that the junction system does that materia can't. Take the fact that you can't just go and buy a couple materia or fight a bagillion battles to get more abilities with all your characters (you can make all of your characters exactly identical, save for base HP and weapon strength, in FFVII with a bit of work... You know, level up materia here, -source there...). You can only have one character with some abilities and there's no way to change it (been a while since I've played, so I've kind of forgotten most of the skills.... heh). You can mix and match what immunities and strengths you want. It's not as easy as equipping whatever accessory or armor.

Of course, there's always the possibility that I like it more than materia because it takes some thinking. Heh.

Final Fantasy VII is the best game ever created.

Best OST.
Best storyline.
Materia system.

Story just can't be beaten. I've played tons of games, none even comes any close to it.

The music is perfect, just simply perfect. Each track fits the event during which it is played unreasonably well.

The materia system gives you much freedom over your characters, and that's just cool.

A real jewel, and when mastered, you can achieve spectacular deeds:

Click here (http://n.ethz.ch/student/wmartin/videos/FFVII%20%28JP%29%20Beating%20Emerald%20Weapon%20%2 8in%201.18%20min%29.avi)

Now I definitely have to disagree on the soundtrack. VIIIs it the only one that I've absolutely had to have. It's not quite as good as the Chrono Cross OST, but still. I loved VII's but it just lacked something (or maybe it was just the older synth technology).

And in response to the whole Cloud thing... he was cool until you found out he was just a loser dropuot.

PsycheAcheronos
02-23-2005, 11:23 PM
Eh..that was kind of a let down. Otherwise the story wasn't that bad.

The sound was kind of bad for both FFVII and FFVIII in some spots, while in others it wa just perfect. Comparatively FFVII's music though was somewhat lacking but I think that was because they were still trying to figure out what worked best with the Playstation for video and audio quality, while yet in FFVIII they had already had a great deal of time and experience with the console to know what would work best and how to make it look/sound better.

I would have to disagree there, although I do think that it had a great story.

And in response to the whole Cloud thing... he was cool until you found out he was just a loser dropuot.

I hated Cloud UNTIL I found out he was a loser drop-out. Too many video games give you a tough, silent type of main character. One who is just cool because he is. I like the little twist there, it made him not perfect, and therefore perfect.

And I think that the best customization came with the later games in the series. Okay, maybe not nine, but am I the only one who absolutely loved the idea of no level ups in ten? The fact that each character could become who you wanted him to be?

PsycheAcheronos
02-23-2005, 11:54 PM
No level ups was nice, that along with the ability to round out every character with the stats, skills, and spells of your prefence was great. Then to go even further you were able to customize their weapons so you didn't have to deal with just the lame ones that you got through the course of the game. I loved that.

martryn
02-24-2005, 12:02 AM
I like how the weapons really didn't make the character, but rather, the character made the weapon. I hate games where you always are having to buy a new weapon because your old one sucks now, and therefore you suck. It was very refreshing.

Not sure what you're trying to get at here. However, you can get more variety with the materia. You can only get abilities in VIII when you junction a GF. And only that character gets those abilities. You can equip all sorts of combinations with materia. Such as the combo of Cover and Counterattack.

cupnoodles
02-24-2005, 12:52 AM
mm...i think the junction system is a teeny weeny bit more complex than the materia system, but i think the materia system is cooler cuz you can do lots more stuff with it. besides, continously having to draw forbidden magics and refining and all that crap is a bother.

IkariBattousai
02-24-2005, 03:41 AM
I think there were pros and cons with X's leveling or "growth" system. Sometimes it got to be too much work between sphere levels for the small gains you got each time. If I'm going to level up, I'd like to make it more that just 1 point to 1 ability or stat or whatever. If they wanted to give us that kind of customization, they should've just given us a number of points and let us distribute them as we chose, kind of like in KOTOR.

I think I just identified more with Squall than Cloud because Squall had so much more introspection and analysis. He also changed over the course of the game. Cloud's personality didn't really undergo a change after he realized his true idenity, he was more like: Huh? So that's what happened. Oh well. And just kept on as his old self. I think an experience like that would change someone's whole perspective on life. Don't you?

martryn
02-24-2005, 03:54 AM
KOTOR.

What is this game?

I didn't mind the one point per sphere grid system. It was more realistic as a gradual level up then a big boost every dozen battles. But I agree that it would've been nicer with more specialization.

Maybe a game that has all the stats like in ten, but had a system like Tactics or Five, where you pick a job, and depending on what job you pick, your stats will go up respectively. For example, if you were a knight, your strength and defense would go up more than the other scores,a ninja, your agility would go up more, ect.

The 3 girls catch onto this plan and aim to stop him. All in all, its a farce, everything up until the end of Chapter 2 is completely pointless.

If you're gonna play FFX-2 then do it for the battle system, it rocked, really fun in ways. But don't do it for the story it was really lame, nothing compared to FFX. . heck they even raped blitzball in X-2 :\ The bastards.

I agree, if you're looking for a good story and plot, then your gonna get disappointed with X-2. I mean they even screw'd up Blitzball, which was pretty entertaining, even if not that great in X. Not to mention the crappy coin game that they put in. After you get the gambler dresssphere, there's no point playing it anymore.

Cloud's personality didn't really undergo a change after he realized his true idenity, he was more like: Huh? So that's what happened. Oh well. And just kept on as his old self. I think an experience like that would change someone's whole perspective on life. Don't you?

Well, for my point of view, Cloud is the ultimate example of male 'Blondiness'. All looks, no brain. Or in Clouds case, all sword, no personality.

I hated Cloud UNTIL I found out he was a loser drop-out. Too many video games give you a tough, silent type of main character. One who is just cool because he is. I like the little twist there, it made him not perfect, and therefore perfect.

Cloud didn't actually have a reason to be silent. At least, no reason that I saw, and it wasn't just so much that he was silent, but that he was just really stuck up and aloof.

Well, since he was bordering on insane for most of the first two disks, i dont think we can really blame him for being a little bit aloof. I mean, mental breakdown is a hard thing to deal with. ( you can tell he was mental because he preferred Aeris to Tifa :P silly, silly, silly )

In response to the one who said Cloud didn't change after he found out he was a loser and/or found out he was created: He actually began to question what memories were real, and what memories were fake. He also wanted to know if Tifa really was his childhood friend, and what happened in his hometown the day he came back. He also wondered why he was created.

And to the one who said too many video game main characters are tough and silent: Name some characters that are. A lot of video games I play have a loser as the main character.

I thoguht Aeris was cuter, but the only reason she really liked Cloud was because he reminded her of Zack. I wonder why?

By the way. I have a concern about Advent Children. I heard by rumor that the movie is gonna come in at about half an hour. How much of it will be new material and how much is going to be just re-rendered versions of cutscenes from the original game? Most of the screenshots I've seen are all redos. Well I recently started playing Final Fantasy VII again and beat it. I remember the Ruby and Emerald weapon being much much harder though. Just yesterday I beat them on my first try and I was kind of dissapointed and didn't want to save so I could try different ways of beating them or try to make it more challenging. I'm running out of things to do in that game have any ideas? And what are your favorite materia combinations?

FFVII has been called "the greatest FF of all time" by many fans mostly due to its characters; that's what made the game truly memorable. The battle system is typical of any FF game and later FF games have much better tweaks and innovations added. The materia system, while extremely flexible and easy to use, took away any character's uniqueness in battle, so that only their Limit Breaks ended up dictating their usefulness, which I disliked. A fairly interesting plot, but nothing groundbreaking, and FFVI had a just as good, if not better, storyline.

It served as a catalyst to RPGs becoming a big business to the PlayStation, and made Square that much bigger to American gamers. All in all, I'd say that many people overrate it, but it still stands out in my mind because the characters are so memorable. Especially Vincent, he's just plain bada$$.

The movie and sequels look fairly decent, not chock-full of fanservice unlike FFX-2. I'm not really interested for the storyline, though; mainly just to see some nice CG action and relive the nostalgia of all the old characters.

I've got huge expectations for FFXII, as the FFT team is working on it.

IkariBattousai
02-28-2005, 02:35 AM
I don't know. I've heard rumors of XII being a simulated MMO kind of in the style of .hack, which I didn't like very much, and FFT was a pretty cool game but I think Nippon Ichi (Disgaea) really rules the Strategy/RPG market right now.

Jade Empire looks pretty cool but doe to the lack of XBox support (especially in this thread), I don't know if many people will be so informed on it. Hopefully it draws me in better than KOTOR.

JesusFreakDK
02-28-2005, 11:39 AM
Disgaea was indeed a gem, but the games they released afterwards weren't nearly as good (La Pucelle Tactics, Phantom Brave), and I still thought FFT was a tad better than Disgaea in terms of gameplay, although Disgaea's storyline was nonstop hilarity.

I see your point in the rumors; I saw a video of someone playing the game at some gaming conference, and battles happened right on the screen (like an MMORPG) instead of entering a separate screen, but commands still need to be given. It may be a change from the old FF system but I don't think it's completely MMORPG style. In any case, it should be a lot of fun, and the graphics look great. Most likely the last FF on the PS2, I'm assuming (besides the FFVII extras).

Damn, I'm not THAT good. It took me almost seven or eight months to beat it with the bare minimum. I had a strategy guide, so I got the ultimate weapons for the entire team. I fought against Ultimate Weapon and won, but also fought against Ruby and Emerald Weapon...and lost very badly. I beat Safer-Sepiroth with Cloud, Yuffie, and Vincent. And finally, I thought the ending (I won't spoil it for those of you who hasn't beat it yet!) was a borderline tear-jerker. Ahhh...good game. Better than I thought it would be!

Actually though, I think onscreen battles like that will open the game uo to people who wouldn't otherwise play. I have a few friends who refuse to play the game based solel yon the fact that they don't like the battle system. It's a shame too because they're missing out on such great stories.

On the topic of Disgaea, I don't really know what I liked about it more than FFT. For some reason I couldn't really get into the latter, but when I poppped in Disgaea I was like: "Wow, this is really cool!"

LOL, I really dunno either. Probably just small details of personal taste. But I hated the fact that in both games you could get 00ber characters SO EASILY. Honestly, once you find the method and level for a few hours or so, you can easily breeze through the game, even the supposedly "challenging" sidequests. I found this problem in La Pucelle Tactics also, which I recently bought. Meh, I'll just go back to playing Tales of Symphonia until FFXII and KH2 come out. ^^

I don't know about that. That's an incredibly long game. It's possible, but I'm not so sure it's likely. The only thing that would constitute it taking up that much memory would be if every line of dialogue in the game was voiced over.

That might actually be plausible. The original KH had superb voice acting thanks to professionals and Disney synchronized it near perfection. However, I'm also looking forward to perhaps more movies instead of cutscenes. But more importantly, they'd better fix that battle camera. That was an absolute nightmare. What I'm really hoping for, though, is a *far* more intricate storyline, with more character/plot development and less "Beat X Disney world, move on to next one". I think that's actually what they're shooting for, since the overall presentation seems to be a bit "darker", especially as alluded to in the hidden previews.

Some fans have been clamoring for a multiplayer game, but I think that'd sorta take away from Sora's individuality. Why be a kid who looks like Cloud and Leon's baby when you can choose from a host of famous Disney and Final Fantasy characters? On that note, though, it'd be nice if you could customize Donald and Goofy a bit more. AI wasn't all that great.

Back on the topic of KH2, I think it's possible, but I'd really like to see that kind of evolution as well, and I could see it starting to move away from Disney in the next few installments as far as traveling through the Disney worlds. Thing is, this is a game concept that could have been done without Disney at all. I'm sure that Donald and Goofy would stay, but I think the way the game was set up in the first one really took a way from the plot and caused the story to fragment more than if maybe the other worlds were like other countries or something. I don't know, but I really think that the first one could've been done better on a few levels. I'd also like to add that I'd want to see a multi character switch option like in Sudeki so that you can actually play as the other two characters instead of just Sora.

JesusFreakDK
03-04-2005, 01:59 PM
Hmm, yeah, I agree with you. The Disney elements are mostly novelty and possibly for attracting younger or nostalgic audiences, as it kinda seems to add a slightly less mature atmosphere. However, with KH2 exploring deeper and darker plot themes, the Disney characters may actually drag the rest of the game down. Personally, I'm pretty down with Disney, and as a kid was a big fan of their old-school days (who wasn't?). But maybe, just like the Square cameos, they're simply in it for recognition.

IkariBattousai
03-04-2005, 04:31 PM
I still like quite a few of the DIsney movies, but I agree with you about the characters holding the plot back from its full potetnial. I'd also like to see more varied attacks. Maybe not something as complex as DMC3, but a little more than just a three hit combo would add considerably more depth to the combat system. I don't know about you but I never used too many spells throughout KH because in a real time combat environment the menu system was far to cumbersome to operate and since you could only have three shortcut spells so it kind of took away the usefulness of magic. I never used the summons either.

JesusFreakDK
03-05-2005, 12:43 PM
Same here, I only used certain spells for either crowd-control or getting rid of enemies quickly (like the timed Coliseum battles). The limited amount of MP you have and, like you said, the cumbersome battle system discouraged me from using spells too often. 99.9% of it was used for healing purposes.

IkariBattousai
03-05-2005, 12:47 PM
Even healing got tough. The reason I'd like to see a Sudeki like battle system in the next game is because the AI for your supporting party memebers kind of sucked. They just seemed to end up dying a lot. If you could control Donald or Goofy once in a while you might actually be able to make them useful for something other than decoys.

The only time I used MP in KH was for the summons and physical specials. My favorite summons were Simba and Tinkerbell. Simba did a lot of damage to even bosses, and Tinkerbell has auto-regen and auto-life.

But yeah, I only used offensive spells once, to my knowlege. And that was when I fought the Cerberus, the one at half-health that Hercules weakens. I only used Thunder or Fire, I forget which, every now and then, probably because I didn't have Cure at the time.

Very true, Tinkerbell ownz. Especially during the fight with that optional boss that looked like the Grim Reaper, forgot his name. >_< Glad you could join us, Masaki, as it's just been me and Ikari going back and forth for awhile. :cool

Hm, I'd have to disagree with you there. True, in the beginning of the game your party members are all but fodder, and weak fodder at that. But once you get Goofy's "MP Gift" ability, you can just about double your MP (as long as you don't have him use any offensive techs), and Donald can heal you in a pinch if he hasn't been using all of his MP. Near end-game, you end up never having to do anything because Donald will do all the healing for you.

What I didn't like was that almost all the other NPCs (Alaadin, Ariel) weren't all that great. The few I liked were Jack from Halloween Town, because he's simply cool and has some interesting moves, and Beast, because he's just a tank. I'm looking forward to fighting with Auron in KH2. :P

Man, maybe this thread should be renamed to "Square Talking Place," we've gotten pretty off topic. Oh well. Another thing in KH2 that I've been looking forward to is the fusion system. For those of you out of the loop, in KH2 you'll be able to combine with another character in battle to gain different powers and whatnot. Seems to be a pretty cool concept and I hope it's well implemented.

No, not exactly. There Will be Flashbacks. the things they show in the trailer, such as Aerith praying, Zack in the truck, or Sephiroth in the flames will be in the movie. I expect it to be. Otherwise, i dont see how they would waste their time on the scene for a mere trailer.

IMO, FF7 is the best game i've played and i don't think i see any RPG surpassing it anytime soon.

As for Crisis Core it seems as though it could turn out very well. The plot seems interesting and the battle system just needs to be good. Since they're going all out action, they need to make sure they don't screw it up.

The only problem is whether everything will flow. Crisis Core was never initially planned and they've only now thought of making it up and connecting it to FF7. I think it'll be better than Dirge Of Cerberus since it's mainly a RPG and Square knows how to make those well.

Yup :o

This game isn't my favorite and I don't think it is the greatest in the world or anything like that, but the story was well done and the materia system was fun to mess with because I am a skill whore.

I think people overrate this game sometimes, but then again its the same with other games.

I liked Chrono Trigger and Cross better than FF7 :(

Final Fantasy 10 has always been my favourite,
but Final Fantasy 7 was my favourite FF PS Platformed
game.

FFVII is good even in today's standards wich is quite a feat, considering the game came out in 1996 :nod

FF7 was a great game. AC made it better.

To be honest though. I think FF7 should have stopped there. Ever since DOC came out, they started making up a bunch of shit.

CC looks the same as well. The game should just be about Zach getting into SOLDIER and his story. They are making up a bunch of stuff now. What the hell is up with this "G" guy? Lame.

I watched the movie before I even knew what the game was. smile-big

I only played the game like 6 months after becoming obsessed with the movie (and Kadaj :P), but never made it past disc 1, cuz I was playing on my bro's PS2, and then they wouldn't let me use it anymore....:cry

Haha, which is funny because the first disk is the worst part of the game....

I like 7, but I still find 5 and 6 to be much better. I'm reserving judgement on CC simply because we know barely enough. When it comes out and it's good, I'll admit that it's good, until then all I'm saying is wait and see.

I enjoyed it, but I didn't really care for the second half of disc 2, or Cloud for that matter. Still, Great game.

What the hell is up with this "G" guy? Lame.

Based on what I'm hearing, G was the first person to receive Mako and Jenova enhancements, and the original SOLDIER. He may be more powerful than Sephiroth.

I should start breeding more gold chocobos. Too bad you can't pit them together in fights for money and watch them peck themselves to death. They wouldn't be so cute then, and I'm sure with an army of gold chocobos you'd pretty much make millions of gil
