Orochimaru vs Itachi

I think Itachi might have a chance of winning because Orochimaru is in a fairly weak body not to mention Magekyou sharingan. he might not be able to kill him but he sure will chase orochimaru home. what do you think. yes we know that Orochimaru is a sannin but if he spent two and a half years training sasuke, i must not have alot of time train himself. and In two years imagine what itachi would be like. i know traveling with kisame you will get a hell of a workout. not to mention Akatsui( pardon if spelled wrong) missions which much have some kind of diffuculty.

Itachi would win in two seconds flat. Orochimaru has basically addimitted he can't beat Itachi (he left the Akatsuki due to Itachi being stronger). Itachi can whoop just about everyone (maybe) due to his Mangekyo Sharingan.

I think orochimaru knows about the mangekyou sharingan, which means that he knows he should not look into itachi's eyes. He has a fair chance of winning in my opinion: he has a young and strong body just like itachi's, years of fighting experience, he is a legendary sannin, he probably knows about the mangekyou sharingan (he knows a lot about the sharingan anyway since he has been training sasuke for 2,5 years) and he knows probably a zillion jutsu including several summoning jutsus.

Orochimaru must have trained to endure great pain, and so to fight against Genjutsu made by Itachi. As seen in the fight against Naruto-Kyuubi near the bridge he has some nasty jutsus to attack from underground and behind. Itachi may foresee his movements, but not as good as Neji with his Byakugan, who is able to see through objects. I have to admit that Itachi is one of the greatest genius in the Naruto-world with the ability to copy every jutsu he sees, but skills are not everything. Being tricky and tactical are very important things in a fight too.

Itachi would smack Orochimaru around just for looking at him the wrong way. It's stated that Itachi>Orochimaru, for those of you interested in actual facts (manga). Also, Orochimaru left Akatsuki because Itachi was too strong, and Oro couldn't take Itachi as his container. Itachi is definitely a Sannin level shinobi, and I have not one doubt in my mind that Itachi can take out Orochimaru.

You may not have noticed but this is the anime battledome, your manga is rather useless in here. Orochimaru has a good chance of beating itachi because he is not likely to be caught in itachi's genjutsu because he simply wont look in his eyes.

Oro probably has a chance, I mean he knows shitloads of jutsus, most likely more than Itachi. Plus he wouldn't have a problem looking at his feet or something (instead of his eyes)

I dont think the body transfer works like that. All the bodies he had prepared (kimimaro, sasuke, the guy who's body he has now) were willing to be a host. I dont think the body transfer will work when the target host is struggling and running all over the place trying to katon orochimaru's ass; which would be quite logical, really. Especially when you're talking about an excellent ninja like itachi; it'll be hard to keep him still. This does not have to mean however, that orochimaru wouldnt be able to take him in a fight.

By the way, I vote for Itachi... For me he seems like the strongest in hole naruto world, but I haven't read the manga, btw Sasuke seems to have grown alot, maybe he can take itachi... what do you think???

Sannin means "the three ninja". 'San' means three and 'nin' is short for ninja.
Jiraiya, Tsunade and Orochimaru obtained this by reaching a level that is as high as Kage-level. They worked very hard, but I guess they can't whoop everyone's ass.

I'm just going to assume that you mean both of them at their best. If I had to judge then, I'd have to say it's a tie. I think Orochimaru is probably a little stronger Jiraiya, and Itachi said both he and Jiraiya would die if they both fought to the death. I'm thinking it would be the same result here, though if anyone did happen to win, it would most likely be Itachi. It would be an amazing fight, easily Kage level. So it would either be Itachi winning by a hair, or both dying for a tie.

The "Legenday Sannin" got their name for how well they work together, they're kage level strong by themselves but their team-work as a group was unparalleled hence, the "Legendary" part of their name...

To be honest I'm not sure where this info comes from but I've seen it millions of times throughout Narutofan and seems to be generally accepted as common knowledge

If Orochimaru doesn't go for Itachi's body and goes to really fight him, then he has a chance. If Gai and other jounin had, then Orochimaru would most likely have.

Orochimaru probably has knowledge of avoiding the sharingan. And Orochimaru isn't stupid enough to let himself open to attack. He's the most talented sannin, though.

But the moment he does a very slight glance at Itachi's eyes, he's doomed, no matter what he does.
