The show premieres this week (Tuesday after American Idol)

They ask adults questions from elementary school textbooks and based by the preview quite a few adults are dumbfounded xDD

Anyone planning to watch it?

This is the first I've heard of it. Sounds like it could be depressingly hilarious.

I'll check it out.

it's obvious they chose fifth grade questions bc that's the point at which americans can still demonstrate some ability....

What an embarrassment

And here I thought the only chance I'll have to laugh at people's abilities would be during the early rounds of American Idol. Now I get to laugh at their intelligence (or lack thereof)

Looks pretty funny, if only because it looked like they picked the dumbest adults they could find. I doubt I'll watch it though, I hate reality TV and Game Shows, they're both ruining television.

This show could potentially be really funny. I won't be home to watch it though, so I will probably have to see if I can torrent it.

I dunno if I'll be watching this; there's not denying that there are things you learn in fifth grade that you have little use for in adult life, such as being able to perform long division with paper and pen (hell, in high school they encourage you to use a calculator), so it'll be pretty disappointing if they choose to ask the simple questions that people don't need to know/haven't had any reason to remember rather than what the more questions than anybody should know (but still don't really need to know anyway).

I'm probably over thinking this, though. I mean, it's Fox.

such as being able to perform long division with paper and pen

I use that a lot. Several times a week.

I don't think I'm going to make an effort to watch it, but if I catch it on I might. The premise is interesting, but I'm worried about the delivery.

Why ? I imagine you have a good reason/necessity for doing so, but most people don't and hence they forget, which was my point. A lot of Americans don't know jack about World War I or the intricacies of the Civil Rights movement, but then what necessitates them knowing/remembering it (as opposed to a historian or anthropologist) ? Forgetting how to do something you never have a need/reason to do doesn't make you stupid and that's why the show is going to fail in that aspect.

I don't think I'm going to make an effort to watch it, but if I catch it on I might. The premise is interesting, but I'm worried about the delivery.

That's what I'm thinking, they are going to skew questions to fit "blind spots" for adults, which won't really say anything about their actual intelligence.

Though in the commercials for it, it seemed gey to me, it's always fun to see grown people look stupid.

Don't worry soon you'll be the one making the fool out yourself in front of 5th graders.

It's actually on again tonight and Thursday, as well. 3 Night Premiere event, not like Fox has anything else to show.

It looks interesting, but it has Jeff Foxworthy. I despise all things Jeff Foxworthy appears in, is credited with, or is mentioned in. The man fills with me hatred. But, watching morons is always good. I'll check it out tonight and decide from there.

I saw it...Man That's sad watching adults looking stupid and not being able to ask questions they had in fifth grade. I can remember when I was in 5th grade and I'm still able to anwser those questions. I told my mom to go on the show cuz she da smartest person in my family and she said she might go on their.

The show is lame or they need a new host, Jeff Foxworthy puts people to sleep.

I've seen it. Decent show, but not engaging to the point I'd become a faithful viewer. With young intellectuals and dense adults, this show is well-balanced.

That guy from UCLA just ruined all his colleges cred, that was sad...

an that ignorant women who did not know that Canada had a longer borded on the US then Mexico was also an idiot...

Haha, I thought that show was really funny. Not enough to become a really really faithful watcher, but...
What's kinda sad is that I'm in 8th grade and I couldn't answer a few of those. >>;;; I thought Columbus Day was in September...
And the Dewey Decimal system one. Actually, the teachers at my school taught us that fiction books don't have numbers in the system...but apparently they do?

I honestly think this show is rigged . . . I seriously doubt that fifth graders know the answers to everyone single one of those questions. My sister's in 5th grade and she only got like one right :p

Anyways that dumb theme song they play in the beginning was stuck in my head all freaking day lol

hahahahaaa, I watched it and the first question the guy got, I got wrong. Cause it was an American question, and I'm Canadian >_<... It was a 1st grade question too. I forgot what it was :p

I find the show slow-paced but entertaining. I hate how they deliberately drag out the answers and throw like 8 commercial breaks in between. But I love crushing every question on the show, it's like Jeopardy Teen Tournament but less satisfying when you own a question.

I saw it last night and all I did was rant about it and mock the kids. :oh

I've watched it once. Its crazy how many people don't know that stuff. I remember seeing a commercial and the guy had to count his fingers to figure out 5 x 2
