But Sasuke is definately the embodiment of overdramatized teen-angst. He's like the Heero Yui of Naruto. All he needs is an angsty theme song. Crawling would work pretty well for him.

Emo prince is a good way to describe him. He is like a combo of every angsty, loner antihero from every shonen anime. It's actually kind of funny.

Gaara and Neji were both dicks at first, but then they became pretty decent guys. Sasuke just took his assholic nature to new heights from the time Naruto saved him from Gaara to their little scrape on the hospital roof, to the moment he decided to leave the village, and beyond to the VoTE fight. Each moment angstier than the last. It's like he's trying to set a record or something.

Even Domon from G-Gundam (horrible) wasn't that angsty. Anyone remember his famous lines "... my love, my hatred, and all of my sorrow!" and "I will do all I can to hate you!" Up until Sasuke hit the scene, Domon (and most of the Gundam casts) were the angst-kings of the anime world. It seem there is an ascendant to the throne, and heavy is the crown...

gaara takes this hands down, we ahvent seen much of neiji yet but im willing to bet hes near or equal to sasuke.

Gaara isn't so much angsty as he is bloodthirsty and maniacal. Neji is sort of angsty but he is more sullen and narcissistic. Sasuke is just an angst coated-brooder with angst filling.

I say this one goes to Sasuke. His entire life was filled w/ nothing but thoughts of revenge. Neji's got alot less problems than Sasuke, plus he seemed to work them out. Gaara, on the other hand, while he did have a fairly crappy childhood, does not really add up to one's entire clan being murdered. (I gave an extra point to Sasuke b/c Gaara wouldn't be able to cut himself with razor blades)
