These two shinobi, which I can't say anything witty at the moment because they have nothing in common, face each other to the death.

Easy Yamato would win with his mokuton abilities

Chakra scapels dismantle Yamato. Being able to turn his limbs into wood would not reconnect his nerve I don't think. He could use his doton ability and then come up under him with a chakra scapel to the ankle.

Well Yamato can fight at a distance using his Mokuton. So i think that Yamato would win.

In close combat, Kabuto may have an advantage - neither of them seem to be great taijutsu fighters, but Kabuto as a medic-nin is trained to dodge, and his chakra scalpels are more dangerous than any close range attacks we've seen from Yamato.

In mid/long range, Yamato should win. He can use very large Suiton and Doton jutsu, and his Mokuton has a number of uses. He can do the same kind of large-scale jutsu he used against Kakuzu recently, or use them to bind, and can also create a wood defence (which he used to defend against the 4-tails chakra and explosions) which could probably stop any ninjutsu Kabuto can throw at him.

It just depends on whether Yamato can keep his distance. I'm going to guess that he can; he can create Moku-bunshins to help, and use the Moku-surfing jutsu he used in 293 to get away quickly. And it's not like he's at that big a disadvantage in close-range anyway, he should be able to hold his own with a kunai, and even if he, say, loses the use of one arm it shouldn't be a huge disaster when he can still use his other to turn to wood and perform big jutsu.

So overall, I'd guess that Yamato's excellent mid/long-range abilities are too much for Kabuto.

A very good battle indeed, but i think Kabuto would take this one. With his brains and techs he would be able to get close to Yamato and deliver some decisive blows. Yamato is no joke himself, with the 1st's skill it would leave a no margin error for Kabuto , but i think that Kabuto would win. Kabuto is also very underated on these forums.

Yamato can definately hold his ground against Kabuto but this is the way i will do it. Yamato refers to Kakashi as being superior and since Kabuto is near kakashi's lvl i'll have to say Kabuto will win. Kabuto should take this but it won't be easy he has the advantage at close range and would murder Yamato H2H. If Yamato stays away he leaves himself open so Kabuto can just go underground and cut Yamatos ankle muscles when he doesn't expect it.
I'm not sure if Kabuto can summon snakes on his own but if he can then that only makes it easier. Kabuto can also move his organs around and avoid any lethal wounds he might get from Mokuton.
Kabuto is also a pretty smart fighter too and he can fool Yamato with his dead bodies by making Yamato think he,Kabuto, is dead.

Correct me if im wrong. But didn't Kabuto LET naruto pretimeskip Rasengan him? He said something i think im not 100% sure but it was along the lines of he wanted to see how strong the attack was and he already built up chakra in his midsection to prepare for it. And he still managed to nearly kill naruto. Had he not of been curious and tried to take the rasengan he probably would have killed naruto.

He tore up Naruto's heart until it was beyond repair. Kabuto began the reconstructing of his cells and got up from the blow of the Rasengan like it was nothing after a few minutes.

He was then able to summon Manda, and escape with a chuckle. In the end, he still saw Naruto as a genin with no skill. He may have been a bit underestimative of Naruto's abilities, but he wasn't serious like he was against Tsunade.

This isn't even about Kabuto vs. Naruto anyway. That fight was absolutely horrendous in every way and you can pull no conclusions from it. Also, Kabuto was the one who got up in the end. Naruto almost died, and had Tsunade not been there Kabuto would have been the one to walk away.

and it's only better in you're eyes I gave my reasons why I think it's PnJ and imo they're pretty good reasons, you might not accept them but whatever. Here's my post on Yamato vs Kabuto in case you missed it
Kabuto should take this but it won't be easy he has the advantage at close range and would murder Yamato H2H. If Yamato stays away he leaves himself open so Kabuto can just go underground and cut Yamatos ankle muscles when he doesn't expect it.
I'm not sure if Kabuto can summon snakes on his own but if he can then that only makes it easier. Kabuto can also move his organs around and avoid any lethal wounds he might get from Mokuton.
Kabuto is also a pretty smart fighter too and he can fool Yamato with his dead bodies by making Yamato think he,Kabuto, is dead.
