Went to a convention today, expected it to be really good. In the queue there were a group of cosplayers from naruto, thought they were good, and come back to see them after I wandered round the stalls. Wasn't as good as I thought, it was just a few manga book stalls, a few DVD stalls and prop stalls along with sci fi stalls.
At least I saw a cosplayer of kakashi which made me happy, he seemed to be slightly larger than the real kakashi, and other cosplayer seemed shorter and skinnier. I really really really wanted to talk to them but I was too nervous, they may have just flung me off and not be interested.
So i followed round this cosplayer, rather fun staring at a real life kakashi, I liked his hair, but he was holding hands with a girl dressed as kurenai, so he was taken, and the girl may have thought I was stealing her boyfriend if I tried to chat him up and not get the hint that i'm only talking to him because of who he's dressed up as.
The other guy was hanging around his mate dressed as inuyasha, I stood there and let him walk past me but didn't say nothing, and then he was watching a mainstage talk, so I found a seat and tried to stare at him across the room, it was fun for a short while. But his inuyasha friend noticed and eventually gave me threatening looks and caught what I was doing. I wanted to say "hi I think kakashi's great" but they looked like 2 guys you wouldn't wanna mess with.
As I was leaving there was another group photo of cosplayers, and there was a kakashi who seemed like a 15 year old girl with 3 quarter pants, not manly and I only saw the back of her but stayed to watch photoshoot for a short while.
I'm not the most attractive person so they may have not liked me and I would have looked a bit weird following them around without saying why.
Do you reckon I should have went to talk to them and start a conversation about kakashi?
