Team Yamato + Kakashi vs Itachi and Kisame

Let's say Itachi and Kisame decide sooner is better than later and go for the Kyuubi. Would Team Yamato(Yamato, Sai, Sakura and Naruto) plus Kakashi(I assume he'd tag along for whatever reason) be enough to stop them. Yamato's presence means no tails for Naruto.

Yeah, I agree, Itachi could probably take them all on himself. Kisame would kill Sakura like that, Sasuke might be a hassle but he"ll be done not too long in the match, and even if Naruto does Nine-tails, what would that do? All that would be left is Kakashi and we know Kakashi is no chance for Itachi and then Yamato and Itachi or Kisame could take Yamato on by themselves.

Itachi and Kisame would wreck Naruto w/o tails and the others would be made short work of as well.

I'd say it would be a close match and Yamato would be way to busy fighting to surpress the Kyuubi, that's an obvious point. If Naruto does go Kyuubi, now that Kakashi said Naruto has surpassed him he'll be super-powered more then before. Sai, Sakura, and Yamato would probably take on Kisame. I think they might be able to take him out, but definitely a hard battle.

Kakashi and Naruto I think would take out Itachi. Kakashi with the new MS and Naruto's new broken arm no jutsu is a definite win lol. But seriously, Naruto with probably 3 tails now would be able to take out Itachi with a small bit of help from Kakashi. But since there is no tails, Naruto and Kakashi will have to win by surprise.

Kisame could take them alone....Team Gai couldn't barely handle him at 30% Chakra Gai had to open 6 Gates to do him in...100% chakra is more than enough to take this pitiful team down.

itachi himself is stronger then orochimaru, kabuto, and sasuke,
Kisame at 30% took out neji, lee, and tenten with ease, and gai had to go 6 gates to take out 30% kisame

so i think Itachi and kisame would massacre team yamato

Sorry, but Itachi and Kisame are too much for Team Yamato. In terms of hitting all powerful jutsu, the situation is the same since Oodama Rasengan was good enough to beat 30% Itachi, and Windsengan would be enough to beat 100% Itachi.

I think it would go something like this...

-Naruto and Kakashi break off to fight Itachi. Sakura, Sai, and Yamato break off to fight Kisame.

-Itachi disables Kyuubi with 3-tomoe Sharingan and knocks Naruto out with Mangekyou.

-Kakashi and Itachi go into a normal fight, since their Mangekyou abilities are canceled out since they both have that level of eye. Itachi's skills are higher up than Kakashi's (As clearly seen by their pre-timeskip fight. Plus, Itachi can cause Kakashi to have to cover Naruto by attacking Naruto with exploding bunshin. Evil tactic. So evil Itachi would do it).

-The fight between Kisame and the Yamato group would be in Kisame's favor. I mean, look at how much chakra Kisame had at 30%. The only chance that Yamato has is that his Earth-type jutsu have an advantage over Kisame's water jutsu.
