Now that that's all said and done--if you have read chapter 247, then you undoubtedly know all about the recently canonized Saint Yuura and how much he pwns and how much he needs a fanclub this very minute (nay, second). Soo... here it is.

Is he that girl's husband? I know there was something about a husband mentioned in one of the early translations, but in hisshou's the girl just addresses Sasori (that other Akatsuki)--nothing about any spouses. :P

Still, just the fact that he got some sort of telepathic message/mental lightbulb... thing from Batgirl or Sasori, and then killed off his whole platoon later on for them, makes him plenty kickass enough for me. :cool

And OMGzors, he so does look like Izumo. Only with a beard. Which makes him even better.

So anyway, I finally read the Inane version of 247, which successfully manages to confuse things even more, so yay. XD There is another mention of Yuura being Sasori's husband here... only last I checked, Sasori is the guy. So I've decided to go with the assumption that "husband" is probably a mistranslation of something like "suboordinate" or something like that, just because that seems to make more sense.

The other thing that really interested me is that Inane's translation suggests that Yuura's memory of the Akatsuki had actually been suppressed for some reason until recently, which would finally explain that weirdness on page 10 (11 if you're reading the Inane scanslation)--that would have been him getting his memories back.

All of this just makes him more cool. Can't wait for the next chapter...

Since we are comparing Yuura to Kabuto, and because of Kabuto's "relationship" with Orochimaru, it isn't that much of a stretch for Yuura to have the same sort of relationship with Sasori, who totally owns Oro in badassness (he has too, if he has a connection to Yuura)

'Few' is a vague term at best, described by Dictionary.com as 'An indefinitely small number of persons or things.' Depending on how we then define 'small', the word 'few' can potentially refer to a wide variety of numbers. In the context quoted above, 'next few' could easily apply to the next six or seven chapters, and is certainly not limited to three.

He'll be back, and the Sand won't know he's a traitor, and he'll cause some serious problems for our heroes in the near future. Kishimoto didn't give him so much attention in chapter 247 for no reason, after all.

If Yuura doesn't show next week when Naruto and co. get to Sand, I'll... well, I'll be pretty :oh. Where art thou, Yuura? I mean, sure, random characters like him disappear for ages and then reappear all of a sudden to do things all the time (jsut look at Ebisu, Hayate, Genma, Baki...), but I'm still hoping to see him again without having to wait a zillion chapters.

And unlike Sasuke, there is a serious lack of smexy Yuura fanart available to help ease the pain of waiting. I think I'll doodle MSN Paint and post it just for kicks/to help keep this FC alive. Of course, it might end up scaring away any prospective new members, but that's the risk you have to take. :P

I know that i am not part of this fanclub, but what were they talking about in the manga when they said yuura was married to some one. There are no females in the akasuki...so who were they talking bout?

Yuura called Sasori "Sasori no danna", and since "danna" can mean "husband", all sorts of weird translations came out of it. But the thing is, "danna" can also mean something like "master" or be used in general to refer to a person of higher rank. (For anyone who watches Inuyasha, Hachi refers to Miroku as "Miroku no danna", which is always translated as "Master Miroku.") So Yuura was just refering to him as something like "Master Sasori."

It's sad that Yuura was killed off so quick. I mean, a guy who's capable of annihilating Sand's front lines like that... He looked cooler than Sasori and Deidara! Okay, I'm exaggerating, but still. I guess it makes Sasori cooler for having the ability to brainwash ninjas like that... freaking insane. That's like icing on the cake for him, since his forte is puppetry. Bonus ability.
Anyways, I still say Yuura was a wasted opportunity. XP He should've taken over Sand Village while everyone was busy messing with Akatsuki.

Hey, maybe in the anime, they'll have filler showing Yuura killing all the Sand troops! :nuts That'd be so cool to watch him pwn with awesome high-level jutsus. I doubt it though.

Lol, this place was dead for three years practically. Why won't people recognize how awesome Yuura is? I don't think anyone has killed as many people as him, in present-time. How do you judge a ninja's skill? By the number of people he kills!! And Yuura has killed a lot more, than everyone in Akatsuki combined! I mean, who in Akatsuki has killed anyone? Hidan and Kakuzu killed Asuma, and Deidara killed a few nameless guards with his spider-bombs, and six Pains killed Jiraiya. So that makes, like four people for Akatsuki. Let's face it - Yuura is awesome!
