why is it ino and naruto?

Because it's a pairing you don't see to often, which is why some people like it. The thing is, out of all the other rare pairings, Naruto/Ino actually could have happened (or may still. Who knows?) if circumstances were different. This is partially due to the fact that their personalities are very similar.

Plus, the pairing is more popular then some people think. It's sorta like a 'sleeper' pairing in the sense that some people like the idea of it happening but, then again, few actively support it. I know that a pairing's popularity cannot be measured by fanfics, but if you go to fanfiction.net and look for Naruto/Ino stories, most of them get a very good amount of reviews as evidenced here (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1468576/1/).

Besides, you have to admit, if Hinata weren’t around, everyone would have been pairing those two together. Why? Because if Sauske and Sakura got together, then where would that leave Naruto and Ino? Let's have them get together so they can mend each other's broken hearts. That way, everyone's happy.

Welcome, HinataFanBoy! Unfortunately, Naruto/Ino pics are very rare. I have seen about 5 of them. I'll see if I can track them down.

I find it very interesting that a character like Ino doesn't have a very big role in the Manga, everytime we see her, she is either in the flower shop, or dining with her team, it really is rare to see her other places than there.

Another thing I've noticed is that Ino probably was a character that was ment to be a temporarily rolemodel for Sakura, and their struggle for getting Sasuke's attention was only a small fase in Sakura's maturing proces.

It sounds sad, and based on what happened in the forest of death, and the preliminary, I would like to see more to Ino, and I'd also like to know how good she has become. Some facts about Sakura and Ino might be appropriate in our evaluation on her future opportunities.

Ino - appears often to be in a contest with Sakura, and she is often doing it with a joking manner, so it is quite hard to judge whether she is genuingly interested in Sasuke, or that she only appears to be.
Her jutsus have great potential, and I hope to see a more to her development in this area.

However I can't help feel that compared to Sakura she might not be that strong, maybe it is because we have been following Sakura so closely, and even become involved in her feelings...

Anyway I certainly hope that we'll get closer to Ino's personality because her childhood was extremely adorable, and I would like to see this also being a part of her mature self.

Bah I just had this huge ass debate with the SasuSaku and NaruHina fanatic Sho. Worst debate ever. I swear I've debated with far more intelligent people. The guy even claims his opinions as fact when I pretty much proved his biased-ness and that I proved him wrong. You know it's people like him that make me glad I don't debate anymore. I hate putting up with the un-intelligent debaters.

Personally I don't even know why I bothered. Probably because I hate people who twist the manga around to support their views and ignore everything that goes against them. Or maybe I hate the fact that he claimed his opinions to be facts when he doesn't even know how the story will turn out. Man fanboys/fangirls just plain piss me off.

I get the impression that every pairing considered implausible here is only such because the two involved barely know each other, as opposed to imcompatibilities.

As far as evidence in the manga one way or the other, there's no real concrete pairings, just wishful thinking on the parts of many characters. Let something develop, then try to convince us of the holiness of the NaruHinaSasuSaku. To be honest, the 'evidence' is there on purpose, to give possibilities later. Believe what you will, just dont try to twist the facts til they're more than mere hints.

I like NaruIno because it's cute and because I could see it happening the same with NaruSaku. I could never see NaruHina happening in a billion years.

She was annoying as heck because she'd misinterpret something and then take it back or change her post so we couldn't use it against her when we already had. Anytime one pairing is argued over another, just keep in mind that for all we know, the unlikely pair could be sent off on a mission next chapter, bond with each other through either isolation, saving each other's lives and having to take care of each other, or just getting to know the person beneath each other's carefully constructed masks, and be kissing by the time they get back to Konoha.
In NaruHina's case, Kiba mightve already laid claim to hinata(she's cheating on him), beat up naruto afterwards, he ends up in the hospital, sakura takes care of him, ino hears he risked his life fighting the Curse Seal Lvl2 Sasuke monster to pick her favorite flower (the mission objective her mother paid for), and they both start calling him 'Naruto-kun'...See? anything can happen. dont belittle us just because we want naruto with a different girl than you.

(Personally, blond hair and those eyes might be kinda creepy. my best friend's blond and green-eyed and cute as hell, and we already know blond-blue works, with or without pupils.)

As far as the shintenshin goes, I always believed that she wouldn't be able to possess Naruto because of the Kyuubi. She could try, but she would have a similar experience when she tried to posses Sakura. But instead of being forced out, she would (initially) unpossess Naruto in terror. The last thing you'd expect to find in a mind is a sealed demon, afterall. Especially if the truth of the Kyuubi's defeat was kept from you.

I think I remember a fic called "Master of his house" or something like that where Ino and her dad used shintenshin on Naruto. Kyuubi used mind torture on them by showing them what life had been like through Naruto's eyes. Meh it turned into a NaruHina fic afterwards but Naruto and Ino became really great friends in that story because of that experience.

You know, the catalyst that really made me hate the Naruto/Hinata pairing was the fact that fanfiction.net was SATURATED with that particular couple. I can't tell you how many times I nearly pulled my hair out after I had gone through 5 pages of: Naru/Hina, Sasu/Saku, Shika/Ino, Neji/Tenten with the exact same damn plots.

If you like these pairings, then fine. But is it so hard to come up with something original? Let's see some variety people!

I always felt that Sasuke saw Team 7 as family too. Yeah actually that all makes sense when you think about it you know? I don't see them ending up like the sennin's yet it would be funny if Sakura got a gambling addiction and well if Naruto was slightly perverted but I could see Naruto and Ino trying to help Sakura move on and all three grow closer to each other.

Yes because not even Ino can bend the way Sakura can when she and Naruto are getting it on. But then again wouldn't Ino join in at some point? Maybe one night Ino sends all the kids away so she and Naruto can spend some "quality time" with their "friend"

The kids were sent away, its the three adults together, they're just named after their parents, because i dont know more japanese names. Being vague on purpose, keepin it PG.

I have to disagree with you there, Aethos. This FC is for people who like Naruto and Ino as a couple. I'm open to the idea, but not everyone wants an Ino/Naruto/Sakura threesome, afterall. :)
