what do you think wouldve happen had Lee been in top shape against Kimimaro

He probably would have lost unfortunately.
Kimi had natural Taijutsu defence, and he was a high jounin level himself.

I don't believe that Kimimaro was high jounin level: rather, low jounin with some specific abilities significantly beyond that (Curse Seal increased his power and Sawarabi no Mai is worthy of an elite jounin). Nonetheless, Rock Lee in his very best form is still only a high genin with mid chuunin level taijutsu — it wouldn't have been sufficient for a jounin level taijutsu specialist with damn near immunity to physical attacks by merit of the Shikotsumyaku.
The Ura Renge would've pushed Kimimaro, but the Otogakure shinobi would've outlived it and Rock Lee would've died or needed rescuing still.
it really wouldn't have mattered... lee was still no match.. i mean even Gaara, who was in top shape had a hard time with Kimimaru.. an the only reason they won was because he died right before making a final strike on Gaara... lee on his own still would't have had been a match for him... but he would have lasted a bit longer though....

yes lee would have probably lasted longer, but with kimimaros taijutsu defense he will still probbably lose. ex. one of the times lee actually kicked kimimaro, he made his ribs stab lee so he couldnt finish the kick

He would lose anyway!
kimimaro's the kind of guy that no matter how good you are - taijutsu will not work against him

Lee would have still lost... but the fight would have been way more interesting

I don't know: I wouldn't put it past Gai.

Gai is a whole different story... Morning Peacock could have handled Kimimaro no prob

If he was full strength during the battle? It would change the outcome if ever so slightly.

Kimimaro seemed to me to be the worst opponent for both lee and Gaara. Both lee's taijutsu and Gaara's use of sand are meant to crush their opponents and break bones. Well that goes out the window when your opponent can increase the density and hardness of his bones. He seemed specifically created for them NOT to be able to defeat.

Kimimaro would have kicked Lee's butt in the end no matter what.
What makes you think that Lee would have a chance?
Kimimaro almost killed Gaara, a way stronger Gaara than the one who beat Lee
Lee was unable to even scratch his bones, Kimimaro wasn't even fighting seriously against Lee, Kimi only got really serious against Gaara.
he didn't took any real damage from Lee at all.
He was way superior to base Lee, and drunken Lee was more an annoyance for Kimi than a real menace.
Kimi didn't even use the full CS1 or the CS2 against Lee
Lee admited that CS2 Kimi would have killed him with one tail hit.
he admited that CS2 Kimi would have killed him with one tail hit.
Oh, and here are Lee's stats from the databook
----------
LEE
tai 4.0

int 1.5
power 3.5
sped 4.0
stamin 3.0
seal 0
nin 0

KIMI'S STATS
tai 5.0
gen 3.0
int 3.5
poweR 3.0
sped 4.5
stamin 4.5
seal 3.5

Hahaha
Lee = a worm compared to Kimi
Gai is a whole different story... Morning Peacock could have handled Kimimaro no prob
Morning peacock could work against CS1 Kimi, but CS2 would laught that shit off.
He was unphased by the freakin desert coffin, arguably the most destructive technique to date. A bunch of lil' lame fireballs that barely killed Kisame's clone wouldn't surpass his bone armour under skin no matter what.

Wasn't Kimimaro dying anyway?
Although it doesnt mean I think Lee would have had a better chance...
Lee still would have lost.
Maybe faster. The whole direct taijutsu thing probably wouldn't work on Kimi. Best to be drunk.

This pains me to say it... But... Even then, Lee would have still lost.
Kimimaro could have killed even Gaara if it wasn't for his lung cancer...

Lee would have lost even faster. The only reason he lasted so long was because of the Drunken Fist, and the reason he got drunk in the first place was beacsue he thought he was drinking medicine

Kimi would still have won. It's impossible for someone who relies solely on taijustsu to beat Kimi.

Lee would have lost, no way I can see him being able to win
He would have lost, when hes drunk hes just or more powerfull as when hes in top condition. :nod
