Orochimaru's fleeing from Akatsuki somewhere in the Hidden Sand area.
So what's happening to his personal nin village, the Hidden Sound?
Where's Kabuto and Sasuke then? Fleeing with Oro, staying in Hidden Sound, or elsewhere?
He shouldn't have used the soul-transfer jutsu, since 3 years have yet to pass, besides, they should know what Sasuke looks like, (mini-Itachi with Sharingan) and Orochimaru's next target for the soul-transfer jutsu should be Sasuke.
Why are only 2 Akatsuki being sent after Orochimaru, when somewhere earlier in the manga their leader qouted that all 9 of them might be needed to overwhelm Oro?
If those 2 Akatsuki are chasing after Oro, why are they taking a break to attack/kidnap/kill Gaara?

It all doesn't add up.. I'll just await the next chapter.

Eh, I'd speculate it's because she's hungry, and would call it a date just to get Naruto to treat her. He did treat her right before Sasuke left the village. She needed to talk to him about Sasuke, so she met up with him near his apartment and said to take a walk with her, and that she'd call it a date. There's also the fact that she couldn't wait to tease him about being the only one from his class to still be a gennin.

On a sidenote, the only non-ninja who's in on all the happenings in Konoha has gotta be that ramen shop owner. He overhears all the guarded information everytime Naruto is there.

I suppose one could interperet it like that, yes. It's not eactly a long detailed sentence, and there're a couple ways it could be translated. I don't really think it means much either way. Even IF Naruto THOUGHT he was on a date, Sakura obviously wouldn't.

Also, I screw up bought and brought all the time. It should be BROUGHT number 80. There is no alchemy.

the 2 akastuki members are talking about "ichibi"(in this translation it's translated as "one-tail" and "hitobashirachikara"(in this translation "the human pillar strength).
"BI" is the counter for fish in Japanese.
"hitobashirachikara" is a made up of two words "hitobashira" - this word does not mean "human pillar" it actually means "human sacrifice" !+ "strength"

i believe (well i could be wrong!) that "tail" is used by the akatsukis to address the great demons they're trying to collect, hence "one tail" = one of the great demons;
and that Kishimoto uses the word "hitobashirachikara" (this word does not exist in Japanese, Kishi made it up by combining 2 words) to mean a demon vessal, such as Naruto and Gaara.

According to what we know, Sasuke is safe for another few months yet. I bet that when they say "We don't know what he's like now that he's used that jutsu again," they're referencing the fact that Orochimaru took the body of that prisoner.

Actually, I believe they spoke about their "ultimate" goal, each team has specific tasks they need to accomplish before the 3 year time-limit is up, that's why Bat-Girl said that if they all successfully accomplished their assigned tasks the chance of them succeeding would increase, she made it sound like they could afford to fail some of the tasks, but the leader's comment implies that it will be impossible without the Kyuubi.

Can't it be the simple fact that Shukaku has one tail? Are there any multitailed legendary demons in japanese legends? Two tailed, five tailed, etc... that would make sense together with the nine tailed Kyuubi, but I doubt anything like that is possible...
It would be too much of a coincidence if there was another 7 multitailed demons for Kishi to use in his manga...

well there are the kitsune, which are the foxes. and kitsunes can have 1 tail up to well unknown :P, but in japanese ledgends a nine tailed kitsune is considered very powereful. hence the changed name to kyuubi.

but who knows how many demons kishi is gona put in his manga. but i cant wait for the next chapter. we'll hopefully see gaara goodness :)

Mixed feelings about the way they talk about Oro...it's sort of good, because Sasuke has more chance of kicking his ass sooner if he's running from Akatsuki. And yet...if he sucks that much, how powerful will Sasuke get learning from him? Well. Knowing Kishi he'll be kickass no matter what happens.

And about if there's a chapter next week...well, there's no Bleach for sure. Would Jump really leave out two of the very popular series? I'm hoping not, but that's because I haven't had my look at Sasuke yet :P Show him already!!

Akatsuki is referring to the fact that Orochimaru took that other dude's body, not Sasuke's. It's still too soon and it stands to reason that they wouldn't know much about his new form or abilities.

Plus, Orochimaru's no slouch in the strength department. The running might be more of a reference to his leaving the organization, but it makes sense that he wouldn't be hanging around the hidden sound if Akatsuki were after him, since it's too risky. He might be laying low until he can take Sasuke's body.

I've never seen the word "danna" mean anything else but husband. Ever. Is it supposed to have a different meaning here? Also, bird/bat akatsuki member speaks using "oira" as "I". I haven't come across anything that had a guy use that form. Is it a non gender specific version of "I"? Or is that character definitely a girl (which I think it is) Hope someone can clear that up for me :P

Actually, it should be "Number 18" not 80.

十八番 (オハコ > ohako) means "Number 18".

It appears that hisshouburaiken misread the kanji, since 八十 is 80.

i don't think so, most demons probably has just one tail, though there is one with 3 tails according to legend.

this is just my theory. cos we are not familiar yet with the new terms Kishi created. and that seems to be a logical guess. what i meant was that "BI" is a counter for great youmas here. so even though Kyuubi has 9 tails, he'll still be "ICHIBI" (one tail/one youma) as he is ONE of the great youmas.

i read some other translations, and nobody has yet translated "hitobashirachikara", and bcos "hitobashira" means human sacrifice, and Gaara was referred to as the "hitobashirachikara" of Shukaku, so i'd say "hitobashirachikara" is Kishimoto's term for "demon vessal" . of course i could be wrong.

Sasuke was stated be at Chuunin level just before going after Garra. Garra beat Sasuke and also beat Rock Lee who went ALL out opening 5 of the life gates. Naruto won against Gaara by waking him up, before he would have been screwed. So yea that with Gaara being able to improve quickly plus the fact that his own father wanted him dead since he was a little kid along with Garra walking away from S rank missions...
I think Gaara was never at Genin level where he first appeared. Lets now forget him being the secret weapon of the Sound. Then of course don't forget the Sand ARE NOT weak if they were then Naruto's village wouldn't have been at less than half power. They sent out Genin on very dangerous missions because of a lack of man power. And it was because that some of the Genin defeated the Sound Four which proved that they could become higher level ninja.

I expected this to happen. I just wish that Naruto would be given some special title above Jounin. After all the hell he went through he deserves it damn it. In terms of raw power at least Naruto is above EVERYONE.
Now that he's wiser he should be near unbeatable. Skill plus raw power equals victory.
