I'd have to say Orochimaru would win. A fully powered, healthy Orochimaru would take down Gaara. He is one of the Legendary Sannin, after all. And one of the most fear enemies of Konoha. I'm not going to state how he'd win, because frankly, there are dozens of ways Orochimaru could bring down Gaara. He knows so many jutsu's, it's not even funny. He's strong, and has great stamina. He's also quite experienced. I think Gaara will get cocky in this fight. Maybe Orochimaru will just do what he can to have Gaara use major moves and waste his own chakra, then Orochimaru will come in for the kill. Like I said, there are too many ways Orochimaru can take out Gaara.

How can anyone even think Gaara could win?? Orochimaru has soo many crazy Jutsu's. Orochimaru wouldn't even have to do anything to beat Gaara. He can summon the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Hokages to fight for him and rape Gaara. You really think he would have a chance against that with just his Sand Jutsu's? Even with Shukaku, Gaara has no chance at all.

I think the people who think Gaara can win also think Konohamaru can beat the Third Hokage in a fight too? Thats how absurb it is thinking Gaara can beat Orochimaru.

Oorichimaru would easily win. Gaara may be powerful but he has so far only Ninjutsu skills and no Genjutsu or Taijutsu skills from what we've seen. At least I don't remember seeing Gaara use any Genjutsu skills I may be wrong there.
