Which Fighting Style is Most Like Yours?

This is meant for people who play competitive multiplayer games, primarily fighting games.

I was hanging out with a friend the other day, playing Super Smash Bros and we began to think about which Naruto character we fight the most like. I mean, every character has a different style of fighting.

We ultimately decided that I was most like Haku: I'm very much an opportunist. I'll distance myself and wait for an opening and then I'll strike and then I'll distance myself again. This works until someone is capable of predicting my movements, in which case I'm pretty screwed.

For my friend, we ultimately decided that he was most like Sasuke (which is probably why he always beats me): He is very analytical of his opponents and tries to read them, but at the same time he tries to move in fast and overwhelm them. He also has a compulsion to constantly test his abilities and become stronger and he's also a sore loser.

Which character do you fight the most like?

To get you thinking, here's a run-down of a few general styles:

Are you a sniper? Someone who hides until the time is perfect and then moves in for the kill in one swift stroke? You're probably the most like Zabuza.

Are you ridiculously defensive? Do you let the opponent wear themselves out and then attack wildly, feeling no need for precision? You're probably like Gaara.

Are you ridiculously offensive? Do you just bombard with attacks as quickly as possible, hoping your opponent can't keep up? You're probably like Lee.

Are you really good for the first few minutes but your stamina runs out and you begin to lose your flow by the end of the fight? You're probably like Kakashi.

Do you like to throw shit? You're probably like Tenten.

EDIT: Some more description of character types to help further:

Neji is a character that is a perfect close range fighter, but not so much on long range. If you play as Peach in SSBM, you might fit as him.

Naruto is often misjudged as trying to overpower and bombard the opponents directly. That's not really true. He does that when he starts out, but once he gets a feel for the enemies strengths and weaknesses, he usually finds a way to exploit it through a cunning trick. In order to fit as him, I'd think you'd need to be insanely good at last-minute recovery and be capable of taking an opponent by surprise. Jigglypuff comes to mind.

Sasuke is very much about beating an opponent by being better than the opponent. If he loses to an opponent, he sees it as his own fault and lack of power. His style is never really defined, he just does whatever's necessary to win.

Shino is a depowerer. Instead of overpowering an opponent, he takes away the strengths of an opponent. He basically cuts off their power and then strikes.

Kiba is a team player. If you play well in groups or with Ice Climbers, this might fit you.

Shikamaru is very reserved and careful. He won't do anything until he thinks he has a good idea of what to do, and after that, he pretty much sticks to the plan. He also doesn't have a wide range of abilities, just a key few that he uses over and over again, finding new ways to make them work. Most people who analyze enemies might think they're like Shikamaru, but they're probably not. Everyone analyzes enemies, Shikamaru just refuses to do anything before he's done with his plan. He doesn't like to think on his feet.

I dunno, that could also be like Naruto. Most of his early attacks are meant to gauge his strengths and weaknesses against an opponent and then he finds a way to win in the very end by working around them. Shikamaru doesn't so much gauge his strengths and weaknesses as much as he infers them before every battle. He doesn't experiment first, he just goes with probability and strategy. But that's just my thought.

And I'm sure most people who play well while they're drunk are like Lee, lol.

I dunno, Naruto usually starts with straightforward attacks, but he usually has some trick up his sleeve for the very end. Lee on the other hand is all straightforward attacks.

I play captain falcon. I'm all aerial, I constantly put up fairs. I'm a cross between Anderson Silva, and Rock Lee; Muay Thai fighting technique, with Lee's speed and sheer bombardment.

I guess I'm like Lee. Whenever I play fighting games, I never use any strategies or special moves...I just kinda attack. xD

Sounds more like Haku to me. Sasuke isn't reserved at all. Once he gets going, he doesn't back off. However, if you sit back, strike, and then sit back again, you're probably more like Haku. I just know that's how I fight.

And for the record, if you ever go to college, there will be lots of people who will own your ass. Trust me, I know.

I play Captain Falcon as well. Since you example Muay Thai, I'm going to assume you use the knee and elbow a lot. Based on that, the way I imagine you fight reminds me a lot of Lee, so yeah, seems like an accurate portrayal.

I use Captain Falcon's knee and elbow a lot too, but I usually try to use it and then back off and wait for another opportunity to use it, hence why I feel I'm more like Haku. A sweet-spotted knee is teh roxx0rz.

Anderson Silva isn't a Naruto character, lol.

Hmm when playing Smash Brothers I dont know. I play Falco almost exclusively, but will occasionally play Jigglypuff to humiliate. I would guess I'm most like Sasuke in that I read my opponents, I'm not a sore loser though. I usually go for the counter-attack method of combat and will allow my opponent to attack me and usually jump over them (Falco's jumps pwn) and then come down on top of them and start juggling.

I alternate between a Lee like style and Sasuke. On the one hand I will go for a switch relentless beat down, however sould that fail me I fall back analyse and move to counter attack and efficient assults.

Also for all those on this thread who beleave they are good at smash I pose the a question.

WHAT IS WAVEDASHING?

If you can answer that question then you can accuratly judge your own strength. If not, you are NOT as good as you thought you were, trust me.

I love practicing and always wanting to be better than my opponent so i can kick there ass during battle without a sweat. And i fight close range and try to figure out my opponents disadvantage. And if i lose i do blame it all on me.

Also casue Mario and Sasuke both can use fire :D

i guess im usually like lee or zabuza. more lee cause i just go for it and continue attacking and i usually end up with a perfect match. i know when i play halo, im definitely like zabuza.

Sometimes I got freaked out and forget about any strategies and start punching and punching..
Sometimes I even use suicidal style like Hidan. Knock yourself to knock your opponent.

Lee's drunken fist would be my fighting style cause I just kinda flail around and then fall over, but my movements are unpredictable and its hard to hit me.

Well on SSB i play as the ice climbers (who are complete pwnage^^)so i guess i fight most like kiba. On Tekken however, i fight using Yoshimitsu, using a fighting style closest to Hidan. Hari Kari FTW!

I honestly have no idea. The closest I'd get to would probably be Gai/ Lee. Very aggressive style. Keep attacking my enemies when I see an opening...... Run away when they retaliate, and concentrate on trying to find another opening.

I am...a spaz in games. I like rushing in and trying to take down people before I met my untimely demise. But that aside, if I'm playing something like Counter-Strike, my shooting is as spastic as my movements. Sometimes I have a fantastic string of headshots followed but shots that are so totally off the mark it is like I'm shooting my own foot. So er....I think I'd be Naruto in that I do think about the opponent's abilities but end up rushing them anyway. XD
