If you havn't notice how Kishimoto parallels the story alot. Naruto will become the Sixth, and like the Fourth, he will sacrifice himself to save Konoha. And since Chapter 2 (or Episode 2), Konohamaru was established as the one who will suceed Naruto.

Kakashi is fated to die by saving someone from Team 7 with Chiyo's technique. (My bet Naruto is the one he will save him). I even made a fanfic, so click on the links below. :amuse

Tsunade too is established that she will end up sacrificing her life to save Naruto somewhere down the line. Jiraiya probably will be with her.

Konohamaru becoming the seventh Hokage really causes difficulty when making a theory because it's quite complicated to imagine dangers like Akatsuki and ROOT around without the currenty Hokage dying, which means that the next Hokage Rokudaime, pushing Naruto to become atleast the seventh Hokage. What makes the whole situation difficult is that Konohamaru not only said that he wanted to be Hokage but that he wanted to be the seventh. One way or the other though, Konohamaru will realize his dreams and become the seventh along with surpassing Sandaime.

I believe that Naruto will be the sixth and he will pass on the will of fire to konohamaru. The second episode of naruto was screaming that foreshadow.

For some reason, I just get the impression that Naruto is Hokage for like a week, gets fed up with the paperwork, and quits. :laugh

If Naruto does become the 7th, it means he's either going to have to quit, or die relatively young for Konohamaru to take over, I mean he's only a tad younger than Naruto in the first place, and if Naruto retires out of the Hokage-ship at an old age, Kono probably won't be the strongest of his sub-generation anymore.

I think Naruto will be the 7th. He'll be strong enough when the 6th ispicked... but I don't think the higher-ups will think it's time yet... and they'll know he wants to do many missions. The 6th I think could be Shikamaru (but only if the 6ths is picked in a while, since Shikamaru isn't even Jounnin yet) or Kakashi... I think in Shippuuden he is stronger than in normal Naruto...
