Why we did what we did.

You are wondering, why we closed down the HoU and emptied it?

To make a long story short, the HoU and battle domes were a mess from spam, clones and some bad topics floating around. Users weren't following the manga spoiler rules in which manga spoilers must be tagged.

We thought a redo of the HoU and new battle domes would be easier to mange for us and it'd be more centralized for you the forum goers. The popular threads were re-created as well for the same reasons. And you didn't lose your post counts but be more aware of the topics and posts you make since we, the staff, will linger around much more often.

We want the HoU Directory sticky to be much more useful this time around. We also want it to be easily editable so we pre-made some of the most popular HoU threads in order to making adding new ones less of a pain (if we opened the HoU will no threads, there'd be a huge thread creation rush and it would be hard on moderators to update the directory).

That's true. The previous HoU was a haven for spam and spoilers, so I approve and fully appreciate the revamp. When I saw that almost every thread were started by either TenshiOni or Hokage Naruto, I saw two members of the staff whom were attentive, and took their responsibilities seriously. The additions of Anime Battledome and Manga Battledome to HoU are brilliant (esp. for a more organized Eng. Naruto Discussion). With that said, thanks for the much needed change, fellas (as well as the rest of the staff). Let's enjoy this, NF! :D

Thanks. The House of Uzumaki had become a huge mess, so I'm glad to see the staff stepping up and cleaning it out. It's much nicer now, and hopefully we can all do our part to keep it this way.

I don't know if this is the right place to do this, but I'd like to request the inclusion of another thread that I think is still significant (maybe even more so with the start of Shippuu-den). It's The Faces Behind the Voices - Naruto Seiyuu Pictures (http://forums.narutofan.com/showthread.php?t=180756) thread. I talked to shadowy_blue and she would be happy to update and manage with the new seiyuu being introduced. It would be great to see it continued.

This week couldn't have been better for NF in a long while, with shippuden the Konoha TV section was Revitalized , and now this cleanup will make a world of difference for this section. It's back to having 3 major Naruto sections for me instead of just the Library!

spoilers actually are allowed in this section as long as they are in spoiler tags...:oh....

anyway, more mod activity will be occurring in this section...most mods were turned away from the previous HoU due to how out of hand it got. Now that it has a fresh start, it will be easier to control and make sure repeated threads aren't made and that the proper game threads are moved to the Pachinko parlour and that the spoilers are in tags, etc.

Lol, I was a little confused when I first came here the other day and found that A: Everything was gone and B: Some of the Sticky polls had been re-started but I was really happy to find that they are still linked for our viewing plessure so thanks again for the great work.

One question though, I hope that this is Ok to ask but I noticed that the old favourite character poll had a multiple choice option but the new one doesn't. Would be be possible for you guys to make the new one multiple choice as well?
