Hokages are chosen to protect their villages with their lives. Everyone is precious to them, everyone is equal. With all that on them, you would think they would be powerful and kick some ass? Of course!

Who is your favorite Hokage?

Mine? Yondaime, Nidaime and Sandaime. I like the others a lot but these three are on another level.

For some reason I've recently developed a liking for the Nidaime, the Second Hokage. It's mainly based on a vague idea of what I think he's like, and also "just going with" a recent translation that he was the best fighter or some such. (I quite frankly don't care if it's canon or not — I enjoy filling in the gaps with my own imagination myself, so in my head I'm running with it a little and imagining what I think Nidaime could be like, and he's turned into a rather interesting fellow in my mind.)

What makes him my favorite is his awesomeness. He seems like a brilliant strategist and he's the essence of what the ideal shinobi should be. I love the hiraishin justu. Teleportation is awesome and it's a very useful technique in battle. And lets not forget that the man saved konaha from the kyuubi.

I love them both. Sarutobi did a great deal for the village, possibly more than the others, and Tsunade is a great character who is likely to achieve much... :)

I'm sorry to tell you this but it's the other way around. I was watching the dub recently and I saw that episode where Kabuto kicked Tsunade's ass. She was weak. I hope she's a lot stronger than that now that her feat of blood is gone because if she's really that weak that Kabuto could kick her ass so easily she doesn't deserve to be hokage.:(

That is more complicated than you make it out to be, he used the blood phobia as a trick but later when she overcame it she beat his master orochimaru, she would have Kabuto as well had she overcome the trick before that...and don't give me that Oro had no arms stuff, he had a 50 foot tongue with a sword...almost cut her to bits and he had his summoning but her jutsu helped her and her pure power...you are just bias for Yondaime...

Tsunade. She is beautiful and caring. The first two Hokages I don't know enough about to make any judgement, Sandaime was one of the biggest jerks in Naruto, Yondaime was a horrible guy who probably provoked the Kyuubi into attacking Konoha in the first place, plus he killed some lady and kidnapped her baby to molest. Tsunade wins by default.

Actually I'm not biased for Yondaime. I respect Sandaime Hokage as much as the Yondaime. The Sandaime is the only one that can contend with Yondaime.:amuse

And yeah she could have beaten Kabuto but she's still pretty weak for a hokage.

I go with the Yondaime, he was Kakashi's sensei and he saved the village from Kyuubi. Also if it's true that he's Naruto dad, then it's thanks to him that Naruto was born. So if that theory is true, no Yondaime = no Naruto.
