There have been many fights throughout the first part of Naruto - but which got your adrenaline pumping the most? Choose amongst the list provided. :leepose

My favorite fight is undoubtedly Naruto vs Gaara.

Tajyuu Kage Bunshin? Naruto 1,000 Combo? Naruto 2,000 Combo? 1000 Years of Pain? Gamabunta vs Shukaku? Gamabunta transforming into a giant fox? Head butt finish? This fight "between two similar people" easily had be sold.

I haven't see the fight with Naruto and Gaara yet, so i will stick with Gaara and Lee. That was a good one.

I personally enjoyed Kiba vs. Naruto. I love Kiba Shikayu and beast jutsu. The only thing I disliked was how Naruto just screwed around and wasted so many opportunities.

Sarutobi vs. Oro was easily my favorite. At least the first 3/4 of it before it just turned into a staring contest and tug of war. It was our first 'kage level' battle in the series, and it was cool to see such high level jutsus actually used in combat.

The reason why I didn't say Naruto vs. Sasuke is because it was so hyped. You knew it was coming 30 chapters before it happened. And you figured that it was going to be amazing. The Sarutobi/Oro fight was out of the blue and pretty much took me by surprise.

I agree. However the first fight that really impressed me was Lee vs Gaara during chuunin exams. But when I saw Gaare vs Naruto, I knew it's going to be the best one for a long time (well it was just an assumption, but it came true - sadly thought, I wished to see better one :P).

Naruto vs Sasuke (VoTE)

Why? I think RockLee's presentation of it in The 2006 Naruwards explains it better than I could...

This fight was quite possibly the most anticipated of them all. A clash between rivals, but if it were only that simple! It's a fight between brothers, between best friends, and two legendary nin in the making. Through their trials and tribulations they persevered, goading each other on, supporting each other when necessary, strengthening a bond established since childhood, being a close as close can be.

And yet, they couldn't be more different in this fight. One fighting to strengthen and maintain that bond, the other to break it. One sought strength alongside his friend, another sought strength at the expense of his friend. One with a demon, unknowingly given, the other with a curse, willingly taken.

Not only that, but the fight itself was awesome in the manga, and even better in the anime. The moves were creative, the chains, links, and combos got you pumped. The quick turn arounds and the berating during the fight were sensical.

And, what the hey, I'll say this, too: it did power levels the way DBZ never could. Sure, they power leveled for a while, with one invoking more power to gain the upper hand. But, these levels came with actual drawbacks, could not be used in definitely, and were used in actual desperation. Naruto, desperate to bring Sasuke back from the brink of darkness, and Sasuke, desperate to jump in, each using only what they had to to sto the other, but when they found that wasn't sufficient, they went further, and further, until both were demons, both monsters, but one was a monster with a heart fueled by fire, and the other with black eyes of hate, white hair of shock, and a fist full of lightning to strike down any who dared get in his way.

Rock Lee vs Gaara. Despite hearing a complete description of it beforehand, I was still surprised at the intensity of the battle. I literally replayed the parts where Lee opened the gates and took of his weights parts 70+ times.

My top 4 would be:

1. Sasuke and Naruto vs. Zabuza: I suppose I was just very impressed with the strategy that they came up with and the teamwork that Sasuke and Naruto used to fight Zabuza.

2. Sasuke and Naruto vs. Haku: Because of Haku, who is one of my favorite characters (at least in terms of his jutsus). That, and the same stuff as above, along with Sasuke's sacrifice for Naruto.

3. Shino vs. Kankuro: Same as number 1. Also, because Shino is one of my favorite characters.

4. Gaara vs. Kimimaro: I was just very impressed with Gaara's and Kimimaro's display of power in it, along with how Kimimaro just didn't give up until the very end.

Lee vs Gaara blows them all away, for one simple reason - both aesthetics and emotional impact were both taken to the highest level, not just one or the other. I'm told that fight is a common one for drawing fans to Naruto as an anime, and I can see why. I know some people will claim Naruto/Sasuke was the best, but to my mind it was just average - far too much flashbacks, posturing and melodrama from Naruto's end.

My next choice would be Tsunade vs. Orochimaru since it was so satisfying seeing Orochimaru getting nailed by Tsunade!

I am surprised to see that not so many members actually like the battles within the Land of Waves Arc. Due to the amount of praise that it receives in comparison to other arcs, I would have expected a much higher rating for these matches.

My response makes it rather obvious that I have chosen one of these matches, and that much is true - Haku vs. Naruto Uzumaki + Sasuke Uchiha

1. Gaara vs. Rock Lee - I was really impressed by this fight more than anyone else I had seen to that point and after. Awesome.

2. Shikamaru vs. Temari - Two of my favourite characters, the fight was so funny and made a bond between them imo. :)

3. Can't think of any tbh. Too many choices :P maybe Sasuke vs Rock Lee. It was fun to se Sasuke getting owned after being so sure he'd beat Lee, and even in front of Naruto and Sakura. When Gai appears after the fight is also one of the funniest moments of Naruto imo.

Besides Sarutobi fighting two Hokages and Orochimaru, the words Sarutobi used about his duty as a Hokage and how even after him there will be someone to protect the village. Made me think of Naruto.. :)

I must say that I enjoyed the events of the Part I as opposed to the events of Part II thus far. I would say the battle scene between Team 7 and Orochimaru [Grass Nin] was quite interesting. Orochimaru's first apperance as well as Naruto and Sasuke's performance was very entertaining to see in that Forest of Death scene.
