I wouldn't call it lazy, her and these many other 'interesting' characters don't hold too much importance to the story line, so I don't see why we have to have her appear every other chapter. The anime already did a lousy job of that.

What!? There was a story called of mice and men that had the side characters actions alot to do with the ending. Alot of anime I have seen always has something to do for hat the side characters say or do. Just like when Naruto tried to rescue Sasuke, if it werent for Neji Naruto would had given up.

I just did my english GCSE on that book, and its true every character in the book has some effect on the outcome of the story.

Not that I don't like NaruSaku, I just think they go with better people. And it is said that by Shippuden Naruto only thinks of Sakura as a friend, which is what I believe.

I would love it if Shino got some spotlight because we know even less about him then Tenten, but Kiba is one of the few characters were I'm satisfied with his characterization and just want to see him fight a little. And Hinata is just a bundle of loose ends right now.

Naruto is oblivious to Hina's affections, while Sakura is not oblivious to Naruto's, yet she still turns him down. Big difference. If she was to make her feelings obvious enough for him, his feelings for Sakura are hardly an obstacle, since as far as he knows, she's still in love with Sasuke, and his feelings for her were never as serious anyway. They've grown close, but as friends. There is much mistaking of platonic bond with romantic in NaruSaku. Sure it could eventually go into romance, but only if Hinata and Sasuke are just forgotten about, which given the current arc they most certainly aren't.

It would be just like Kishi to not say who they both ended up with. Like, Naruto is Hokage and has a kid, but the kid smiles so big you can't see his/her eyes and the mom is only shown from behind, all in the epilogue.

I'd rather see him with Hinata than anyone else, though.
