1. Shikamaru- Lazy and unambitious, but yet he has a 200 IQ and can own everyone with prep time.

2. Kakashi- He is just cool. I mean, since the beginning of the manga he was awesome.

3. Kakuzu- What is not to like about a tentacled freak with five hearts, all the elements, a super leap, and a brutal kick? Besides, him and Hidan make for some funny moments. :laugh

4. Naruto- One of the few times that the main character is actually in my Top Five. I love his never give up attitude. And his planning (which is underrated) is actually pretty good.

5. Sakura- She was rather annoying in Part One until the Forest of Death when she grew a little bit but still, was not really close to my favorites list. But then after the Post Skip, he became one of my favorites. That Sasori fight is still the best fight in the entire Post Skip.

I am surprised I only have one villain in my Top 5...<.<

In no particular order:

- Itachi because a dark character is always interesting, he comes across as heartless and untouchable, and manages to affect so many people without really trying that hard. He's cool, beautiful AND he's a great weather man.

- Naruto because everything about him is simply so likable. He fights for what he believes in without question, has that wonderful ability to get through to people, and has a lot of weaknesses when it comes to emotional attachment. He seems so human, particularly when compared with some of the other characters.

- Iruka because he is normal. We don't see many normal nin as primary or secondary characters. Iruka has had hard times losing his parents and what have you, but he doesn't feel the need to harp on about it. He doesn't need to go psycho, he doesn't need revenge, he just does is job and is generally cute. Plus, I want his teaching job.


Suigetsu because I find it impossible not to love the cocky grinning bad guy. His attitude is simply fantastic, and I love the way he bickers continually with Karin. He’s one of the characters who in my opinion has a great balance between funniness and coolness.

Sai because he is a penis obsessed artist. His lack of social skills is simply fantastic and makes me love him even more. It’s nice to have a character like him. He always makes me laugh, and I love the way he is so good at his job as a powerful shinobi and so wonderfully useless with people.

Shikamaru because his attitude is wonderful, for a start. His laziness was always entertaining, but I like the way he will also fight to protect those close to him. He is also one of my favourite shinobi to watch in a fight, because of his intelligence, and I happen to find him the sexiest male in the series.

I apologise- I couldn't choose just five. It was hard enough to get it down to six. I wanted to put Deidara, Jiraiya, Yamato, Temari, Haku, Juugo, Hidan, and several others on there too.

Naruto - He is the main character, I love his upbeat personality, determination and sheepish grin.
Sasuke - I'm a closet fan. How can I not? He completes the other half of the story/Naruto, and no I don't mean it sexually.
Shikamaru - I'm sucker for guys with a brain. I love his carefree attitude.
Kakashi - He's the copy ninja! He perversion is amusing and he is just too freaking cool.
Kiba - He acts like a badass all the time and is such a smart-ass. And that he likes dogs is an added bonus.

Hinata - Her shyness and kind personality makes her very likable and she is adorable. And although it was in the filler, her fighting style was pretty awesome.
Sakura - Independent woman, who wouldn't admire someone like that. Incredible strength and healing technique is also pretty awesome.
Tsunade - She is like Sakura +1.
Kurenai - I like her genjutsu technique and that is beautiful is a bonus.
Anko - She IS a badass. Even though sometimes she acts so arrogant, it just makes me like her more. And she is hot, of course.

I would also like to add Haku. He/She is one of the most complicated character and I just love Haku.

Sakura. Definitely. Minus the crush/love, I can relate to her. Her character is the one that grows the most, and I love how her links to Sasuke strengthened her to where she is now. (hot legs and all.)

Sasuke. He's torn. He's broken. He's scarred. All in all, Sasuke's still a twelve year old boy deep down inside that can't take on the full-time job of truly hating a person.

Hinata. She's just like a butterfly, and her devotion to Naruto is what makes her the beautiful kunoichi she's become today. She just needs admiration and a hug.

Kushina. I just love the spunky girls. :love Especially this one, with a drop-dead gorgeous husband to go along with it. Her character hasn't had much development thus far, but I can already tell she's definitely the fun type.

Suigetsu. Whether you hate the whole shark-teeth thing or not, I absolutely adore Suiggy. Like Kushi, he hasn't had as much development as the major characters, but overall I love him because of his headstrong attitude. I look forward to seeing him in action.

Yet with all these events, he's a good person inside. The fact that he sometimes denies that he has bonds with Team 7 is something I also respect. Even though he's saying something, the panels tell us something else. Though I don't like his decision of leaving the village, he's just going to have to learn, like everyone else in this world.

3. Uchiha Obito - I adore the way he's so much like Naruto, but he's so different at the same time. I love his determination to put comrades before the mission... he is someone truly worthy of respect.

Purely out of overall interest my top 5 would be

1. Salamander Hanzo (how tough was this guy, for him to be giving the title of 'Sannin' to the likes of Jariaya,Tsunade, and Orochimaru?!:amazed )

2. Shodai Hokage (it's a pretty interesting thing to picture this guy beating a Uchihah with trees)

3. Orochimaru (i'm not sure if they explained this in any part of the manga, but whats the whole 'white snake' power about? sasuke mentioned it and there was even a point in time when there was a flash back to when oro. was a kid and found a white snakes skin that was shed)

4. Pain [Pein] (it would be interesting to see how this guy beat Hanzo!)

5. Yondaime Hokage (I wish we could have gotten a more in depth look on how he confronted the Kyuubi, that truely must have been an epic day to bare witness too)

1. Jiraiya- Hes a pervert but who knew hes soo good. To have taught so many people who are very good, such as the 4th hokage. Brings the Naruto anime some fun.
2. Shino- Hes cool, silent and uses bugs.
3. Kakashi- Also cool and calm, and has one sharingan.
4. 3rd Hokage- Very good and old. But called the professor of the ninja techiniques.
5. Naruto- Crazy and dumb but he comes up in the end and when he fights theres some good music going on.

He tries so hard at everything. He screws up a lot, but he never gives up and almost always pulls through. He's determined to never let his friends down, even at the cost of his own life.

2. Hinata
She's the only girl who didn't swoon over Sasuke. Instead, she noticed Naruto's potential. With Naruto's help, she has become a much stronger character. Plus, her shyness just makes her cute and loveable.

3. Lee
He's so damn funny! Plus, he's very similar to Naruto in that he works really hard in order to achieve his dreams. With determination, confidence, and lots and lots of hard work, he is able to become a splendid ninja just like the natural genius Neji.

4. Gaara
He's just so... creepy during the Chunin Exam arc. I always loved that about him. He's such a psychopath. I love how his character has developed though. When he protected Lee during the fight against Kimimaro, I was so happy that he had changed. His past is also sad, so it's no wonder he turned out the way he did, and had Naruto not made friends when he did, he might have gone down the same path. I was so happy for Gaara when the people of the Sand Village cheered upon his return to the village after he had been kidnapped by the Akatsuki.

5. Shikamaru
He always amused me for some reason. So lazy, never putting any effort into anything... and yet his strategy is amazing. He may not have a lot of brute strength when compared to Naruto, Sasuke, Neji, or some of the others, but he's able to use what he has to pull off complicated moves that turn the tide of battle in his favor, which I find intriguing. His battles are always fun to watch. Also, despite his lack of dedication to being a shinobi, he is extremely dedicated to his friends and comrades, and I really felt for him at the end of the Sasuke Retrieval arc.

Shikamaru--Hes just awesome, smart and cool, plus shadow attacks have always fasinated me

Kiba--I like dogs so its cool he uses a dog as a tag team, and his wild personality is cool

Deidara--...ART IS A BANG!! hmm. He is one of the greatest villians and his and tobis interactions were funny

Naruto--Main character, makes ya believe in him and hes usually cool to watch

Rock Lee - His boundless enthusiasm for life charms me. ^_^ Also, his hard working attitude, how he treats everyone well... He's just an awesome character.
Naruto - He appeals to me because of his sheer drive and "I don't care what other people say, I can do it! *does it*" attitude. And he's sexy. XD *shot*
Shikamaru - What's not to love about a lazy genius who cares about his friends and wears fishnet shirts? >D
Sakura (Mostly post-timeskip) - After the timeskip, Sakura really grew into a kickass character. I really like and respect her now for making something out of herself.
The Yondaime - He may show up only in flashbacks, but that doesn't limit his awesomeness. :D
