L'arc~en~Ciel, fra-foa, the Brilliant Green, Shiina Ringo would be my favourites.

But GLAY's song 'Kokode wa nai dokokahe' is what got me into Japanese music.

Yes. Yes it is. XD Like I said over on the Jpop thread I like to listen to it all. The bands that have songs on Naruto are the best *nods some*

I need to get more into Jrock. The Pillows are brilliant. Furi Kuri really turned me on to them, and I'm gradually starting to venture a little more into the genre.

So has anybody heard more of Asian Kung-Fu Generation than just Haruka Kanata? I like Kunkei Faibumu, good album. Best songs off it in my opinion are Flashback, Mirai no Kakera, and Jihei Tansaku.

^ Yup, I've DLed some off WinMX but haven't gotten around to listen to much of it yet, but from what I've heard. I like 'Mirai no kakera' & 'Kimi no machi made' so far.

They've got a new album coming up later this month.

Serious? That's awesome, can't wait to get a copy. I'd so buy it and support the band if it didn't cost an arm and a leg to import.

Can anybody tell me where i can download more Asian Kung-Fu Generation's songs? I hate bittorrent & most p2p programs, but I am pretty desperate to find more.

I was considering buying one of their albums (I've only heard 2 of their songs), but the prices for the albums are incredibly expensive ($26 - $30 US). I think I would rather listen to their other songs before I'm willing to spend that much cash.

Try their official web:
http://www.asiankung-fu.com/

Click on the 2nd link from the left on the bottom, then you can navigate their discography by CD Covers on the left, there's song samples for most of the songs and clip previews for the singles.

This site has some for download, but they're also samples.

^ Check around J-rock mp3 rotation sites for updates, they update weekly. And see if there are any on LJ Journals.

Ones like these, good to check out all their links too to see if there's anything.

~K+
10-12-2004, 11:52 PM
I just happened to have downloaded that CD yesterday (ORANGE RANGE's "1st Contact"). =P

I prefer AKFG's style more though.

And oh, I like ORANGE RANGE's *~Asterisk~ song off Bleach though. I can't seem to find it on any of their existing CDs, perhaps it'll be on their new album in December.

Nerf Herder
10-12-2004, 11:59 PM
That song is insanely cool, would you happen to know where one might acquire it from?

~K+
10-13-2004, 12:16 AM
*~Asterisk~? Nope, it doesn't seem to be released yet.

But I have something even better.
AKFG's "Sol-Fa" Album's torrent is already up for DL a week early!

I've got all their albums. They're alright... I wouldn't wanna listen to an album by then more than two or three times.

But one stand out track though, is Kimi To iu Hana from 'Kunkei Faibumu', it's amazing, I must have listened to this song like *checks winamp* 200 times.

You all can get it from *Cough* the link under my sig*
love the guitar, drumming, bass, and everything about it. Really top.
